What is it with people's fascination with "the number". I confess I am curious, but only as a baseline with experience. I don't see a point in "bragging", or lying, or deliberately withholding yourself pleasure just so you can keep to an arbitrary number of digits. Then again I couldn't care less about how many hot dogs somebody can shove into their pie hole in a minute either.

If somebody asks me I usually tell the truth, "I am not really sure, definitely not enough though!". I was thinking about how to reply to this for a while. Tying to find the right words. I'm not sure I will be successful at saying what I'm thinking, but here goes anyway.

I think it boils down to different strokes for different folks. Some people wish to explore their sexuality with one certain partner and others with many partners. Just because someone has a low number, doesn't mean they are deprived or missing out. At the same time someone with a high number isn't necessarily more fulfilled.

Just as we all have different fetishes and kinks, we all have different ideas of what is important to us as far as whom we share ourselves with.
