Lily slowly stood up when he nicely ordered her to bed and she smiled to him, taking the pillow he offered and laid down on the pelts and it was rather comfortable actually. Resting her head on the pillow, she had a bad feeling she knew what the rules were. And one rule she suspected was not being able to see her parents again. Perhaps it was in her head but she was just afraid, she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

The Gaurdian saw Lily fall asleep, and he stayed up, watching over her. He wanted to observe how she slept. He always found this information valuable. The night passed quite quickly for him, and she didn't move that much, meaning she hadn't had a bad dream. Once it was dawn, he left her side and began cooking breakfast. He took out bread and cheese, and picked some fruits from down the mountain. Once she awoke, he already had a vegetarian breakfast ready for the both of them.

She didn't have bad dreams and had no idea what was going to happen to her, but with the smells in the cave she began to wake up from what he was making. She smiled once she sat up and brushed her hair with a brush her mother got her years ago. Her eyes looked up at the guardian and smiled at him. "Mmm Smells delicious" She said happily.

The Guardian heard Lily wake up, and turned to her, smiling. "Well, you won't be having any." he said, putting the food all into one plate. He picked up a fork, and began eating some, still giving instructions. "For every meal, I shall make food, and eat. If you finish a task of mine before I finish eating, you will have what is left in the plate." he told her. His master had done this to him, and he hadn't eaten for two days before he got some food, and he soon got more and more food every meal. It was an excellent test, testing skill, patience, and determination.

Lily looked at him with hungry eyes her stomach was growling, for a moment she thought it a cruel test, but every test had a point to it. She just nodded to him, as the smells of the food was in her nose and it made her nuts a bit. "What tasks do you wish me to do guardian?" She asked looking at him, though she wasn't angry she just smiled at him.

The Guardian grinned, glad she wasn't upset with this test. "We'll, for your first test, I want you to climb up the mountain, and then climb back down, and reach me before I finish my meal." he instructed. "You shall begin in five, four, three, two, one." he counted down. He began eating his food, quite quickly, and was done with the plate before Lily had returned.

She did her task but when she came in he was done with his dinner and was rather disappointed she was starving and sighed some hanging her head. She didn't even say anything and just sat down by the fire wrapping her arms around her knees and sighed some. "What's next Guardian?" She said looking at him.

The Guardian immediately knew what he wanted to do next. "Well, I must see what you know and don't know.mso, I shall conduct some tests on you." he told her. He walked over to his shelves, and grabbed a bunch of books. They were mainly on history and the sort, nothing to valuable. "D you know much about history or geography? I know it may seem pointless, but knowing these things might come in handy. As a Gaurdian, I am required to memorize every book in the library here, so I don't see why you shouldn't memorize some books yourself." he said.

She looked up at him and heard what he said "I don't know anything about geographic stuff but I do know a lot about history" She admitted and just smiled at him. She knew this training was going to be rather hard but she wouldn't complain about it, she knew this had to be done.

The Guardian heard her, and nodded, glad she had something to build onto. "Okay, what do you now? How far back can you go? Do you know only bits and pieces,or entire eras? How many eras? Just tell me what you know." he said. He put the books down next to him while sitting down on a stone seat. His collection of knowledge was practically endless, as well as his books, so he doubted she would know as much as he did. But still, some people managed to surprise him.

She smiled at him and began to tell him what she knew, she knew everything from the bible all through history. She had studied over ten era's since history was a passion of her, though she tried not to sound like a know it all of course, since she didn't want that. But even she impressed herself with her knowledge.

The Gaurdian heard her monologue, and he nodded along, not really paying attention. Her knowledge was vast for an average person, but pathetic for Starbearers and Gaudrians. He rose from his seat, and began pacing around. He needed to drift away from the topic of history for a moment, knowing that he had a more urgent matter. He turned to face Lily, and he walked close to her, his face an inch or so from hers. "Lily, I must tell you something unrelated to the current topic, but much more important. Do you wish to hear it?" he asked her.

She watched him pacing and she couldn't tell if it was good or bad, but then before she knew it he seemed to be walking over to her. And she swallowed perhaps it was bad, perhaps he was angry with her. But then he got so close she could feel his breath and heard what he said, she cocked her head to the side. "yes Guardian what is it?" She asked curiously but was scared to know about it frankly.

The Guardian sighed, knowing that she was not too sure. "Well, it involves the Sun and Moon benders. Know who they are?" He asked. Upon seeing her look of confusion, he continued. "We'll, the Sun and Moon are controlled by them. They are we'd to each other, and have children. They can only have one son, who is also only ale to die of being killed, but all their other children are daughters. If the Sun bender is killed, the son takes his place. But, every 1,000 years, the Moon bender dies, and her replacement is the eldest of her daughters. But, it can also be a femal Satrbearers during that time. This New Moon, the Moon bender shall die. Now, she had only one daughter, and that daughter doesn't quite want to become the Moon bender. The offer has been given to you. Do you wish to become the Moon bender, to avoid all these problems with Aster?" he asked her, still very close to her. He couldn't help but notice that she had beautiful eyes, but he quickly dismissed the thought, knowing that he was forbidden to love a woman.

She listened to him and what he had to say but was taken back by the offer, looking down she closed her eyes and wanted the offer very bad. But knew that she couldn't do it "Honestly? I want the offer but...father risked his life to get me up here. It is my responsibility to take out Aster, if I die for it then I die for it. But I cannot lay down what I am, any more then you can lay down your job as Guardian" She said looking up at him. Unsure how he would take that but she was honest, she would go after Aster when she was ready.

The Guardian heard her declination, his was a bit disappointed, but it was her choice. He stood yet again, and he returned to testing her. "Well, the option is always available. If a daughter of the Moon bender becomes Moon bender, she can exchange her position later on with another, but that doesn't work with a Starbearer. Once they have the job, they are stuck with it." he said. He left her alone for a while, going to browse for some books.

She stood up and wondered why he was disappointed, she went to find him after an hour or so and looked at him. "Why are you disappointed I thought you would be glad that I accept my fate" She said trying to figure him out. It confused her how he was acting, she could read people how they react to certain things easily.

The Guardian heard Lily, and he was upset a bit. Trying to stay calm, he answered Lily. "Well, the Sun and Moon benders don't just sit there, they have to keep the Sun and Moon in order, which they work on once every month. If the slightest thing goes wrong, the Earth will perish. That is why that if a person takes the place of a Sun or Moon bender, then they must take it with great care, but the Moon benders daughter couldn't care less about it. I am just concerned for the world." he said.

She looked at him hearing what he said and was taken back, but she crossed her arms and smiled a little bit. "And you do realize that if Aster isn't dealt with the earth, moon and sun wont even matter. Aster will destroy everything around him, and look what happened to Aster when he sought out power, it corrupted him and he became evil. Don't you understand Guardian? If the daughter has no interest in taking responsibility for the moon, what makes you think she will take responsibility for going after Aster?" She said making some good points.

He nodded, acknowledging her arguments. She was awfully like her mother in that aspect, always being so difficult and optimistic. "We'll, here is something that could be of use. If you become the Moon bender, you could ask the Sun bender to kill Aster. The Sun bender could easily use the sun to utterly destroy something. Why not that something be Aster?" he questioned. He was mainly arguing this because he wanted to protect the world, but he secretly didn't want her to become the Moon bender, so then he could be with her. He missed having company, and he especially liked Lily.

Lily listened to what he said, he had made a good point on things. Seeing all the books he had in his library, she ran her fingers through her hair. "Though it is tempting Guardian, I cannot " She said rather sadly. "I cannot turn my back on my destiny, could you?" She said rather sadly and sighed a little bit taking a deep breath.

The Guardian sighed, admitting defeat. Although deep down inside, he was glad she had decided to stay. He grabbed some books on history and geography, more fitting to her knowledge, and led her out of the Library. They sat down on a bench, and he handed her the books, telling her to read them. It was half on hour until lunch. Time sure did fly by quickly.
Danny awoke late into the next, almost noon. With a jolt, he jumped out of his sleeping bag, no doubt awakening his sleeping wife. He grabbed his bag and began packing, wanting to make up for lost time. He just hoped he wasn't too late, that lily had not yet drunk the poison.
Aster finally aroused himself from his meditation, fully healed from his previous encounter with Lily. He fumed with anger, angry at everyone, including himself. He was always so close, but he let them slip away. Now, he wouldn't. He left his cave, and began hiking the mountain, unaware that his path would eventually meet with the father of his sworn enemy at the moment.

Lily sensed something was coming but perhaps it was just her mind playing tricks, so right now she watched the guardian silently and it was a rather wonderful sight to see. Her stomach was growling hoping she could get something to eat, hoping she could do the task without starving.

Lisa woke up all of a sudden and looked up watching her husband going nuts. Sitting up she got up and began to pack her things, about twenty minutes later everything was set and she followed her husband up the mountain.

Before the Guardian knew it, it was already lunch. He quickly whipped up yet another delicious vegetarian meal, and waited for Lily to ask what task. He was thinking what to do, and he finally found a good one. It would be a big test to see how obedient she was, and how self-reliant as well. This would be very interesting.
Danny saw Lisa help him pack, and he felt a bit better, glad that something was getting done more quickly. Soon, they were walking up the mountain path, going to where they had last seen the Guardian. Danny just hoped Lily was their, safe and sound.
Aster continued his walk, and after a while, he looked down, and he faintly saw two people climbing on a path that would intersect with his own. Curious, Aster ran to the path intersection, waiting to see who he would meet. He mainly was doing this so he could gather some minions agin, before they were all killed.

She wanted a meal in the worst way and before she knew it she saw that look on his face. So smiling happily she crossed her arms. "So Guardian what will the task be now?" She said having a feeling he wanted her to ask so she decided to as k.

Lily could sense Aster and was ready for anything, she wouldn't allow her husband to die. Not when she could do something. Or could she? right now she didn't know what she could or could not do to be honest.
