Oh, I was thinking she could be a blood mage sort of thing. Cutting herself as a child her parents sent her into rehab, she found that once she had matured that it was her internal power trying to get out. During a brazen escape, she fought her way free, and found herself working for the Soprana's.
Basically, she increases the power of her spells by using blood, hers or anothers, it doesn't matter.

Inflict minor wounds, touch of fatigue, cause fear, protection from good, blindness/deafness, command undead, ghoul touch, inflict moderate wounds, scare, animate dead, bestow curse, contagion, inflict serious wounds, vampiric touch, poison, dispel good, mass inflict light wounds, nightmare, waves of exhaustion, clone, astral projection, energy drain, soul bind, wail of the banshee.
There were more available, but depending on how much blood it takes, they get harder to cast the further down the list.

I think that Crimson should need a lot of blood for the really good spells, such as for the last couple of spells, almost an entire body's blood, just to make it more fair, otherwise she is too powerful. And, also, she uses blood for energy for herself, not just spells, and she needs a lot of blood to stay healthy and alive. That's just what I think.

Yeah, that's what I was going for. For the powerful spells she would probably injure an opponent and offer their blood up for the sacrifice, or she would use followers, or just innocents caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.
