Not sure I fall into the "frequent PM" category, but I certainly do have some experience with lurking . I'm thinking maybe it's time to put myself out there and participate a little.

Sometimes when I get tired of posting on threads, I lurk and just hang out. Meaning I read threads and look at profiles, nothing else.

This is a great idea for a post. I've been here for a few years. 90% of my time is reading stories but I love the amateur pic section. I don't come here often. I met somebody one of my first weeks on here and we and on again off again online thing going for a bit. It was fun as we would always text or email each other pictures randomly. Nothing much ever developed of it and she got in a relationship and I did to so we decided to lay off. Other than that . . . I lurk every few weeks or so and fall asleep to a store. After letting the story work it's magic of course. Thanks for luring me out.

I did the same thing, as far as on again off again online friendships. They're fun, but not at all fulfilling, at least for me. Plus, so many of the men here are married, or strictly looking for online fun. Online encounters without even the remote chance of ever meeting in person does nothing for me, other than provide occasional distraction.

Another lurker here. Not a newbie though: I joined Lit four years ago so as to try my hand at writing erotica. Didn't come anywhere near Lit's chat section, just the Authors' Hangout and suchlike. Then when I finally landed on the boards, I was unbelievably lucky in encountering a kindred spirit. We spent two happy years sharing stories, fantasies, some great porn as well as the non-erotic yet important stuff about life and work and living and kids. About the highs and the lows of routine existence.

She eventually found a real-world guy. We said our fond farewells. I then found a real-world lady. And said an equally fond farewell to Lit.

But times change and lives with 'em. So I decided to come back, though to do no more than lurk. Lurk and enjoy. But I don't do passive very well. So here I am, starting over. No history. New posting ID.
