You can. Grow up.
Sorry, can't afford to live like you. Me gotta work

I work, run my own business. You could afford to live like me if you'd grow up.

Obama has followed through on a couple things.

1: Infrastructure jobs. People need work. I don't see corporations lining up handing out donations to fix highways, build new schools, museums, etc.

2: Healthcare reform. Anything so vehemently hated by the hardcore right has to be good, even if it slow to grow to fruition.

Anyway, people need to work to be able to spend their earning to grow the economy, and the cost of heathcare is insane.

According to Obama, DaVinci deserves no credit for the Sistine chapel, since somebody had to build the road he walked on to get there. No credit for DaVinci, none at all.... thanks BHO, you did it all!

But the fact that a president has an opinion about DaVinci years later...means...he's remembered?

Did he say he gets no credit for his paintings, his discoveries, his drawings?

I associate Michaelangelo with the Sistine Chapel anyway. What was DaVinci supposed to get credit for doing there?

And when you go visit your mom in the state prison, those interstate highways just magically appeared, didn't they?

First, nobody said you don't deserve credit and you didn't accomplish great things but be a dead and wiki the Sistene Chapel and tell me what part of it Leonardo had to do with. This is the problem when all you know of history and art is that four turtles were named after important people.

You know, Sistine Chapel, Last Supper, it's all some kind of churchy stuff. When a guy is busy sending off his Mensa dues, he hasn't got time to fact check his lit posts.

This reminds me of the guy who claimed to have a degree in English Literature and said "Death of a Salesman" was his favorite novel.

Hah!

I'm reminded of "Bill and Ted"

Bill: Okay, Ted, George Washington. One: the father of our country.
Ted: Two: born on President's Day.
Bill: Three: the dollar-bill guy.
Ted: Bill, you ever made a mushroom out of his head? It's like, just like...
Bill: Ted. Alaska.
Ted: Okay. Um... Had wooden teeth, chased Moby Dick.
Bill: That's Captain Ahab, dude.

Bill: He's dead?
Mr. Ryan: So, Bill, what you're telling me, essentially, is that Napoleon was a short dead dude.
Bill: Well, yeah.
Ted: You totally blew it, dude.
Mr. Ryan: Ted, stand up.
Ted: Stand up?
Mr. Ryan: Yes, son. Stand up.
[Ted stands]
Mr. Ryan: Now, who was Joan of Arc?
Ted: ...Noah's wife?

Mr. Ryan: It seems to me the only thing you've learned is that Caesar is a "salad dressing dude."

Does also remind me of watching "A Fish Called Wanda" with someone and having the person watching it with me say "That Kevin Kline. What an idiot."

The Death of a Salesman thing refers to a famous Lit drama from years ago. It's almost as famous as the cheap ass spices affair.

Death of Salesman, I thought was the story of why Killswitch faded away.

Yea, you get credit for a correction ... kudos... but the fact remains, Obama claims that individual talent and iniative are secondary to the role of government in our lives. So the Sistine chapel, while painted by Michaelangelo, does not betray the fact according to Obama, he didn't do it, the government did. Same to say of DaVinci's inventions, and Einsteins insights into physics, Edison's light bulb, (now dissed for that CFL bastardization) and all the rest of those things that are no longer, according to the left, deserving of anything but government taxes as a tithe for our personal acceptablility to the powers that allow us to breathe their air. How dare they assume they own us? When did the 14th Amendment transition to become a bill of sale for government ownership of the bodies we live in? This period of government cradle to grave ownership of us and all we contribute to this planet is the ultimate insanity.

IX. The Courtyard

It was the city I had known before;
The ancient, leprous town where mongrel throngs
Chant to strange gods, and beat unhallowed gongs
In crypts beneath foul alleys near the shore.
The rotting, fish-eyed houses leered at me
From where they leaned, drunk and half-animate,
As edging through the filth I passed the gate
To the black courtyard where the man would be.

The dark walls closed me in, and loud I cursed
That ever I had come to such a den,
When suddenly a score of windows burst
Into wild light, and swarmed with dancing men:
Mad, soundless revels of the dragging dead—
And not a corpse had either hands or head!
