16 year old boy too young for a story?

I don't see a real problem there.

In older times, many 18 year old boys where as innocent as 16 year old guys are today.

So let's say the story happens sometime around the 50s or maybe even earlier. A time before the internet. On the other side - it could also happen today. Some 18 year old guys are still innocent today.

The older women could be a librarian. He is an 18 year old bookworm who loves to read (so it would fit to be innocent. He brought a book back, but it was late. And this happened a few times. The woman thinks he needs to be punished. She tells him, he has to help her to sort the books that are in the wrong places, and clean the library. Of course, he has to do that after the library closed for public.

He has no problem with that, because he enjoys being in the library. However, once they are alone, the librarian starts to punish him. At first, she teases him. She goes up on a ladder, so that he can look under her skirt - but she makes sure, that he doesn't sees too much.

And shortly after that, he has to hold a few books, while she sorts them into the shelf. Accidentally (but of course she does it on purpose) she puts a hand on the bulge in his pants. She really enjoys to tease him.

The boy is not sure what to do. He would love to rip her clothes off, but that would be rape. So he decides to do it in a slow way. When he has his hands free again, he slowly starts to unbutton her blouse. She is surprised and thinks about stoping him ... but then, she thinks she teased him too much. Also, maybe she has had no sex since a few years. So she doesn't stop him. Once her blouse is off, he takes off her bra ... in the end they fuck in the middle of the library

Sixteen year old boys are not innocent today. And, if you wish to get technical, in "olden times" many were married by about fourteen. Hell, a lady was an "old maid" if not married by sixteen.

That's why I gave the 50s as an example. I am sure, no unmarried sixteen year old girl was called "old maid" in the 50s.

And then: not all sixteen year old guys are the same. Some are innocent, even today.

I even know this one guy who is in his 30s, who had never sex - and when we other guys talk about sex, he walks away ... but then, he surely ain't normal.

I'll admit, I somehow missed your example of the 1950s (or didn't pay close attention sorry). An "old maid" of that tender young age would be more likely 17th Century and older.

I won't mention the name of the story because I enjoyed it and I don't want someone reporting it. I will say it was a LW story and dealt with a troubled marriage, although no cheating was involved. At the end of the story was a scene in which a sixteen year old boy was brutally raped by a much older woman with a strap-on. This was in an epilogue and actually had little to do with the story itself, but I was thoroughly surprised this was missed by Lit since it was so blatantly described.

In one of my last stories, I had to rewrite a scene where I had a seventeen year old girl's hand brush against her boyfriends hard on.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic but I am offended by your accusation.
The scene I am talking about is about 2 sentences and comes at the very end of a good story. I only mentioned the rape because of Lit's policy toward under age sex. I was surprised that such a blatant scene got through their censors, especially when my 17 yr. old couldn't touch her boyfriends hard-on through his pants.

Know a 17 year old that was home schooled, and works in the family business so no college and Uni.
Knows Nada of sex, Sexual Inuendo or Swear words. Purely innocent.

I didnt mean write under 18, I meant write them with the personality we choose!

If we want an innocent 18 year old, you get an innocent 18 year old.

On an added note, under 18 Should be okay if they're not involved in any of the Erotic parts of the story, for instance - Character Backstories.

I agree.

Best to avoid including anything under 18 (Unless a non sexual back story IS required for the story) rather than submitting it for it to be rejected.

On another note, if you asked this question because you saw it in a story, you should mention it.

A 16 year-old boy in a story is fine.

As long as he is a peripheral character, and doesn't get involved in the sex. Such as my 16 year-old driving student introduced me to his hot mom, then the story is about banging the hot mom.

Unlikely. IIRC Laurel has mentioned that passing references to under-age sex as backstory are acceptable. But anything that presents it in detail or makes it the focus of the story is likely to be rejected.

FWIW, I recently posted an episode where one character mentions that her grandmother was "quite an adventurous young lady" before getting married at sixteen and having a baby six months later, and I haven't had any trouble about that.
