I guess I could make myself to be such a noted author and create my own section here, dedicated to only me and praise myself, like Scouries does. If it worked like that, everyone here would be a famous writer and publishers would be sending in talent scouts and snapping up the best, in the first round drafts. Laurel and Manu would have to be agents to get their cut and they'd have their own personal picks.
Maybe the asshat has something here. We should all have our own vanity thread to brag about ourselves and have the owners trade us up to the show. How fucked up is that?   |

If he only used his threads to praise himself and stroke his own ego, that would be one thing. But when he makes up fake lists to associate his name with the actual good writers on Lit, that is another story. When he runs good writers off because he won't take their names off his fake lists, that is just wrong. When he makes up fake contests with fake rules to disrupt the real contests and to run writers off from the real contest, that is asshattery at it's finest.
The problem is not vanity threads but lying, cheating, and fake threads that do harm to the writers here and the site in general.
So thanks for quoting his bullshit. Most everyone has him on ignore and they like it that way. |

I'm conflicted about this thread. There's something to be said for keeping something like this up front (if the website isn't going to see to its own interests and then just delete the stories and account of a poster who is disruptive to operations to the extent that no one else is). And Scouries has shown indications of being disturbed it's here.
But it's just another thread contributing to the nonsense and noise of Scouries and it's also serving Lovecraft's need to have one of his "let's all get together to gangbang X" hate campaigns going here. It's serving one of Lovecraft's tenacious bizarre judgmental needs as much as the hate campaign he has conducted against me for over a year has done.
It's sort of a tossup of which disruptive poster to support. I don't really support either one.

There in lies the problem. The people who know Scouries just ignore him, just as you suggest. It becomes a problem when newbie writers, who don't know him, fall under the guise of writing for his bogus contests and take it as a sign that Literotica operates this way. He gives an entirely wrong and detrimental impression of the site, so we need to keep warning newbies, as they sign up and start exploring the forums. |

Now let me ask you this. This is no more a gangbag X campaign than what you/dark/TX and many others have been doing to scouries all along. You have had no issue being part of that.
So if you don't like this thread, although by your own admission you're a bit torn, you need not contribute. However, don't call me or others out for doing what you have been doing as well.
