The Reason For This Thread:
For any newbies in the crowd, Scouriesworld, aka, Jacqui O. is scouries using an alt. She/he/it is supposed to be the President of A.I.R., a fake readers organization that scouries uses to base his fake contests on. In actuality he is the only one who gets to vote on his fake contest.
The reason for the fake contests is two fold. First of all, it is self promotion of his giant ego and crappy writing. Secondly, Scouries has never won a real contest even though he is the self-proclaimed number one author on Lit. In his mind it is everyone's fault but his. He blames the AH, the site owners, the contests themselves.
But back to Jacqui O. He/she/it is the "Secretery" of the MOST COMMENTED on and the MOST VOTED on story clubs. Both of which are fake lists that scouires made up to associate his name with the top writers on this site. She/he/it is also a secretary that can't spell secretary,
ScouriesWorld, is a fake place that only exists in scouries mind.
And as a last piece of information, according to all of scouries IP addresses, he/she/it does not live in Miami Beach, Florida but in the south of England. Not that, that is a bad thing but it is more lie from the king of lies.

Am I a proper Lit author now ?
Hey I think I may have picked up a troll. Does that make me a proper Lit author ? ;-)
Or is it normal to have your first vote on a (GM) story be a 5 and the second a 2 ?
Although I feel a 5 was probably more than the story deserved, I sure did not think it rated a 2. And the person giving it a 2 could not have seen what the first voter gave, as the score was not yet visible on the overview page.
Well, I'm not going to whine, cause my first two stories have done much better than expected, both with views and votes and for one of them also comments. And from what I've been reading on AH, only successful writers get the atttention of trolls. So I'll take it as a compliment and an occasion to bump the anti-troll thread.

Trolls are like a rite of passage around here.
Today I was told in a comment on my latest story that it was stupid and garbage.

Thanks for confirming that, I'll consider myself initiated then :-)
So what's worst: having a troll leave a nasty comment like that (which can at least be removed) or a low score which is forever, unless the vote happens to be swept ?

WEll I have always assumed the guy leaving the nasty comment would also drop a one bomb. I think the one bomb is worse because I don;t remove comments no matter how bad they are, I think they're funny and end of the day they can have their opinion.

Probably the most fun is when somebody leaves a nasty comment criticizing the story, and the comment is full of misspellings and other errors.

That bogus offer is just like the AIR contest. Since its not real and scummies is the only one who votes/comments on his stories, he has no fear of having to actually give anything away.

Yes I love those comments, especially when they advice the writer to 'get an editor' to improve spelling and grammar. or when they are so incoherent that it's hard to find out what they are trying to say. Always makes me laugh so much - I mean how can they expect anyone to take such comments seriously ?

You mean like this one?
This was editied?
Several errors; punctuation, dropped letters, wrong words, grammar. Other than that a fun read.
At least my mistakes were throughout a 15k story this guy couldn't get through a 16 word post

The most interesting comment I ever received is an anonymous one I got on my Halloween contest entry; it was nice enough, quite calm and actually a little encouraging... it was just the guy stopping by to tell me he didn't read my story.
I have no idea how to respond to that.

What's even more fun is to read the comment and realize that the commenter couldn't have read the story and made that comment.

I disabled comments on my poems.
With such low ratings (2.4 and 2.5 respectively), the comments are never good.

Just finished up my next story. I'm going to finally throw myself into the volatile waters of LW.
In this story the wife is the initial victim and gets even. So that should ensure a good amount of flaming from all the wife haters out there.
I also added elements of hardcore BDSM as well to further insure the inevitable abuse.

I seriously don't know how to handle a comment that basically says, "your story is too long so i didn't get to finishing it, but it does look good from what I did read."

Sorry scumbag, unlike you I have better things to do than watch the threads like you do.
For instance tonight I finished and uploaded another story.
Bet you don't even remember how to do that anymore do you?
