He hates her when he's single but when he gets involved with a new girl, he suddenly becomes susceptible to the blonde's manipulations and seductions. I like the concept, but I think the key element is his realization that he's not capable of fidelity. At the beginning, he's got no interest in Blondie because she's too easy. He wants the new girl because she's different, maybe a little aloof, and he likes the challenge. He wants what he can't have. New girl holds out, makes him court her, makes him give her a ring before she puts out. He convinces himself that this is what he wants, that's he's ready for commitment. And it's great at first. But soon he realizes that once he's involved with her, every other girl is off-limits. Every girl, even Blondie, is the girl he can't have, and that makes him want her in a way he's never wanted her before.
I think the story would work best if the two girls at first become friends, despite their very different views on sex. And that's part of what whips him into a frenzy about Blondie later: her friendship with new girl makes her the epitome of the girl he can't have.

Romantic/ novella version

The blonde slut has wanted the hot guy ever since junior high but he doesn't want her and is annoyed with her obsession with him. Enters the beautiful new girl and the guy is head-over-heels with her. They start a slow courtship and then became a couple. Downside about being in a relationship is that it can open up a lot of insecurities that you didn't have before.
