...because their beloved brownshirt EPA is pushing new rules that will make it financially nearly impossible to build a new power plant. This way, they can pretend to be all "Drill baby, drill!" while knowing it'll never happen.

The time to bankrupt the coal industry is about to arrive.

Good thing for them, everyone is distracted by the "racist" Democrat shooting a black thug in Florida, and won't notice the rule.

Yeah, you make sense.

You are one of the dumbest sons of bitches ever.

Smell ya later, loser.

The new limit is 1000 parts of pollution per megawatt hour.

Coal belches 1800 parts
Natural gas belches 850 parts.

No more coal-fired plants. Deal with it.

Good way to slip carbon credits in the backdoor.

Your article doesn't say the new rules would make it financially nearly impossible to build a new plant. Where are you getting that information?

It just means coal plants have to buy equipment to reduce their emissions, not that we wont have any new coal plants.

New plants that will never be built until the lot of them over at the EPA are behind bars or kicked to the curb. Close all of the coal fired plants and give up 40 percent of the electrical generating power of the country.

But you have no proof? You're just making things up again.

You have to proof either.

I didn't make any claims - I just pointed out that you don't have any evidence to back yours. Neither does off2fap. Once again you're confusing things you want to be true for actual facts.

Yeah,that's right. http://www.ckyo.info/jpg

Hey, I'm all for nuclear power, plant-safety technology is a lot better than it used to be. They've never had an accident in France, have they?

But you have no proof? You're just making things up again.

You're asking for proof that much more stringent polution regulation will constrict the use of coal based plants? Surely you're not that naive? That was the whole purpose of the bill and its consistent with the stated democrat energy policy.

Of course Democrat policy has a long history of accomplishing exactly the opposite of what is intended, but I think that's not the case with this legislation.

I am a great fan of giving people what they demand and they demanded no more coal.

When I was asked earlier about, uh, the issue of coal. Uhhh, y'know, under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket....
We would put a cap-and-trade system in place, eh, that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody else's out there. So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can. It's just that it will bankrupt them because they're gonna be charged a huge sum for all that, uh, greenhouse gas that's being emitted.

Just think of it as a TAX on BIG RICH EVIL COAL.

(not so much as a "penalty")

Remember, taxes don't get passed on to the consumer, right merc?

You probably should have went and looked for some facts yourself in order to shut them up...

;) ;)

Yeah, so very clever.

Switching to natural gas, but drilling won't solve anything.

;) ;)

What to watch for now is actually not the advocation of new power plants but a war on natural gas; it's based on CARBON (CH4).
