Jacob is 22 years old
6’2 and 185 lbs.
brown hair and hazel eyes.

He has been dating his girlfriend for 3 months. He has known her longer from attending the same high school in his sister’s class.

He is a mixed martial arts fighter. He received a degree in psychology but mainly went to college to wrestle. He was a four time All-American and two time National Champion along being an Olympic alternate. He needed to pay the bills so he went into the world of mixed martial arts with his wrestling background combined with jiu jitsu background he has been fairly successful.

His girlfriend, Lisa always has been a bitter rival of his sisters. They have even had some nasty verbal fights that Jacob was at least aware. He loves his sister but he was purposely hiding his dating Lisa from her until she showed up at his apartment.

He answered the door and opened it.
“Hi sis.” he said until seeing her anger. “Umm come in.” He added.

Kayla
21 years old
5'3 and 121 lbs
Dark brown hair that falls in soft waves to the small of back and light almost golden hazel eye.

"Kayla. Kayla."

They were in the middle of class when Stacie leaned over and started whispering Kayla's name. "What?" She whispered back keeping an eye on their Professor.

"You'll never guess what I just heard."

Kayla waited for her friend to go on but when she didn't she answered what was sure to be a 'no, keep guessing' game. "That they finally found Nessy?"

"Nessy? You mean that Ukrainian trans-student?"

This was her best friend. "Sometimes I wonder why you're my best friend."

Stacie opened her mouth just as Professor Stine noticed them talking. "Ladies I'm going to assume that my class is so exciting that you can't wait for tomorrows class and are already discussing the "totally awesome" paper that I'm just assigned to my two favorite students." The scary cheerleader face dropped from the graying professor's face. "Five pages on the discussion we're having in class and if you missed it, not my fault."

Kayla's mouth scrunched and her eyebrows wrinkled. More homework, yippy. The next look was a lot more hostile and was aimed at Stacie.

'YOUR-BROTHER-IS-GOING-OUT-WITH-LISA.' Stacie mouthed. 'SORRY.'

It took a moment but the moment it sunk in Kayla became a lot more angry. So it was no surprise to her that the moment class was out she ran over to her Vespa and took off to her brother's place.

"Open the door, open the door, open the door." Kayla chanted as she knocked on the door. "I swear if you don't-" The door opened before she was able to finish her promise to kill her brother.

“Hi sis. Umm come in.”

"Hi my dear and loving brother. The brother who would never lie to me or keep something from me because he loves me and wouldn't want to hurt his sweet little sister's heart. I've missed you." Kayla said in her sweetest voice knowing that her face didn't match the tone at all. Walking up to Jacob she gave his much larger frame a huge hug before taking the closest seat. "So what's new?" She asking knowing exactly what was new.

"Hi my dear and loving brother. The brother who would never lie to me or keep something from me because he loves me and wouldn't want to hurt his sweet little sister's heart. I've missed you." Kayla said

He had a extremely loving relationship with his sister growing up. They really didn’t fight. Mostly because of the home they grew up in. Their parents were never candidates for parents of the year. So, he protected her and they became close. It really wasn’t till after moving out for good that they allowed drifted a maybe a notch apart…wit his MMA career and knowing she was ‘safe’. Yet he still loved her very much of course and hated to see her pissed off.

He hugged her and watched her sit down. Her tone was one thing but her body language another.
“No I wouldn’t want to hurt your heart sis.” He replied.

"So what's new?" She asked.

“Well umm…I am in the prelims fighting on the next UFC card. I have a decent shot get on the next Ultimate Fighter Show.” He said knowing she wasn’t interested in that. He sat across from her.

“Look…I went out a week or so ago and met her at a bar. We had a one night stand. It kind of happened to be a little more. Its nothing against you. I know you don’t like her but I don’t see the big deal if I see her now and then.” He added taking a breath as he looked at her.

He couldn’t stand her being upset with him. She was the one person to always support him. She went to all his sporting contests and awards banquets. She was the only family he would acknowledge.

"That's awesome." Her tones to one of genuine excitement. "Just remember that no matter how much I love you if B.J. Penn does come back and his time off is just some mid-life crisis then I not only expect you to get me a date with him but to understand when I root for him."

“Look…I went out a week or so ago and met her at a bar. We had a one night stand. It kind of happened to be a little more. Its nothing against you. I know you don’t like her but I don’t see the big deal if I see her now and then.”

And it was right back to that and Kayla's foul mood returned. All thoughts of the nicely formed, tanned skin Hawaiian fighter dashed. "Ah-well..." Kayla swallowed her rants about this 'person'. "And who might you be talking about?" Kayla stood at that point and kept moving around the room, like a trapped angry animal. Her brother might be the fighter but she was the one with the temper.

"Oh by the way I started dating a white power neo-Nazi skinhead. But don't worry he only beats me and leaves bruises where people can't see them and only steal my money to buy weapons to strengthen the power of the whites." Kayla snapped before she was able to reign it in. "Okay, that's not true." Kayla sighed sitting back down across from her brother. "And maybe a little too far." 'But I hate her just as much.' She wanted to add but kept her mouth shut tight.

"Jacob." Kayla pleaded stretching her hand out to her older brother, the person she loved most in the world. "Why?" She shook her head before he was able to answer. "Of all the girls, why her? Stacie has had a crush on you since that party, what, three years ago." Kayla wanted to shout at Jake, to shake the sense back into him. Once upon a time she and her had been friends. They had sleep overs and all but lived together but then she had stabbed Kayla in the back but being the person that she was forgave her. Figuring that it was just a mistake she forgot it but it happened again and the second time MPs were involved and she had gotten called in because she threw her under the bus. Of course Kayla wasn't sure how much of this Jake knew but she wouldn't feel bad at all telling him. Course she would lie about it but it was her word verses her so it was a KO in her book.

"Look, Jacob, there is a reason I'm not friends with her. Why the word hate doesn't it do it do as a descriptive word for the way I feel about her. Couldn't you just, you know, never see her ago and pretend that there was no naked time between you too. Because that's just gross. And as far as it not being a big deal... I feel that you picked her over me." Kayla stood up again, her eyes burning. She figured this was the reason she reacted so strongly to finding out that her brother was dating Lisa. Turning her back quickly to Jake so he wouldn't see how this was affecting her she took a deep breath to calm herself.

'It's not that my brother picked her over me it's just her and her conniving, manipulative ways.' Kayla said to herself. 'This isn't helping me calm down.' She told herself taking another big breath. Pushing away all her feeling and put on a 'good sport' face and turned back to face her brother. "Hey you know what. It's whatever. If you want to date her fine, I'm cool with it." Sitting down she felt bad for lying to Jake but it was what he wanted to hear.

"That's awesome….Just remember that no matter how much I love you if B.J. Penn does come back and his time off is just some mid-life crisis then I not only expect you to get me a date with him but to understand when I root for him."

“That’s cold sis. You know I don’t like him. Even as good looking as you are…your kids would be ugly.” He replied with a laugh.

“Look…I went out a week or so ago and met her at a bar. We had a one night stand. It kind of happened to be a little more. Its nothing against you. I know you don’t like her but I don’t see the big deal if I see her now and then.”

"Ah-well..." Kayla swallowed her rants. "And who might you be talking about?" Kayla stood at that point and kept moving around the room,

“I doubt you would be over ready to kick my ass if you didn’t know I was seeing Lisa.” He replied and went mum.

“Geesh Kayla…come on sis. Relax.” He said softly as he had rarely seen her this pissed off. She had a temper like their father but he could usually calm her down.

"Jacob." Kayla pleaded stretching her hand out to her older brother, the person she loved most in the world. "Why?" She shook her head before he was able to answer. "Of all the girls, why her? Stacie has had a crush on you since that party, what, three years ago."

“Stacie the airhead. She only cares about shopping for shoes. She has no desire to get serious with any mature guy.” He replied.

He paused.
“I don’t know…I am just feeling like I need something to keep my balance. Fighting is stressful. There so much competition…I don’t even know if even being undefeated means anything. I need to keep my sanity with balance in my personal life. That is the best way to explain. Lisa seem to click with me.” He added.

He took her hands.
“Look this doesn’t change that I love you or how much.” He stated somberly.

“I never picked anyone over you. I am pleading with you to not do this. Stop saying things that you know break my heart. You know damn well how much my love goes out to you…I covered you with my body all those nights when dad was drunk and thought it was a good idea to beat both of us with a belt. Until I was his size that is…coward piece of shit.” He said grinding his teeth as he visualized the dark images.

“How fucked is it that I like to fight? Only you understand Kayla.” He added wiping a tear away.

Turning her back quickly to Jake so he wouldn't see how this was affecting her she took a deep breath to calm herself.

"Hey you know what. It's whatever. If you want to date her fine, I'm cool with it." Sitting down

“Can we make a point that you and I go out once a week at least…maybe even a dinner or two here? I want you to know you will never leave the spot in my heart where I have you.” He sits in front of her and takes her hands and asks.

"Okay lets back this up a bit. 1- no there no chance in hell for you kids being pretty with you as their father. 2- I would really prefer it if we kept it's name to, say, never spoken of. Or if you really need to a, it, she, that thing or she-who-shall-not-be-named. You know like in Harry Potter. 3- Stacie isn't an airhead she flunks as a fuck you to her parents. And she has the legs for the shoes she like. Whore." Kayla added under her breath in the most hear felt kind of way. Stacie was tall and had legs that went on forever, the kind of legs Kayla always wanted.

"5-" Kayla continued with a smile, letting her brother know she wasn't done yet. "S.W.S.N.B.N. will be whatever she wants you to think she is. You'll see in the end but that's all I'm saying about that."

This was the heavy part that Kayla didn't really want to talk about. "Look," She started not knowing what to say. "Dad's a fuck off and as a brother and a child of that monster you couldn't be any better and until this moment I thought you were the smartest person in the world. I still love you, don't get me wrong but..." 'But why HER!' She screamed in her head letting go of Jake's hand. "But fighting is just a way to beat back the angers of your past." Kayla finished knowing that wasn't how was was initially going to end that sentence. "It's not fucked up and if you weren't there to fight for me I wouldn't be the person that I am today. And I love that person that I am and that's only because of you. Plus the only time you look remotely hot is when you're fighting. Even hotter still when you're bleeding or making the other guy bleed."

“Can we make a point that you and I go out once a week at least…maybe even a dinner or two here? I want you to know you will never leave the spot in my heart where I have you.”

"Please I'm off the hook now that I don't have to worry about you being sad and alone." Kayla smiled thru the coming lie. "The only reason I was here pretty much every day was to watch and take care of you're old fragile body. Gods only know what this place would look or worst yet smell like if I didn't help clean up after you. Now that you have a new maid you're never going to see me here." She laughed to show that she was making light of all of this and trying to be a sport about it.

Kayla stood up and walked over to her brother and leaned against his sitting body. "And don't cry." She told him wiping away his drying tear. "One day you'll grown into your ears and look just like all the other boys. Either that or you'll learn to fly." She said tugging on Jake's perfectly form earlobe. Even sitting Jake was still slightly taller then her standing.

Letting out all her frustrations Kayla wrapped her arms around Jake and kissed his cheek. "I'm not giving you back the extra copy of your key and I'm still going to drop by anytime that me or my neo-nazi boyfriend wants." She whispered squeezing a little harder.

"Oh and did I tell you," She relaxed on her hold on her brother but didn't move. "Kate moved out of the room and off campus to live with her boyfriend. Though technically she still lives in the room because of her scholarship rules but she handed me her card key and packed up her room so I'm now unsupervised." Kissing Jake's cheek she spun away from him. "So imagine all the trouble I'll be getting in and you'll be too busy to stop me." The last part came out sounding a little sore but Kayla just kept spinning hoping that Jake didn't hear it. "Maybe I'll go out and find my fake skinhead boyfriend and bang him all night in my roommate free room." Kayla threatened sticking out her tongue.

He listened to her list of 1 to 4.
“Wow…you do realize we come from the same gene pool. My diss was on BJ Penn. She who shall not be named? Can we at least reach high school maturity? And sorry but Stacie is a nice girl…I didn’t mean to say it any other way. She is even attractive but not my type. I am sure she would realize quickly vice versa.” He replied with a smile but a little disgusted.

"5-" Kayla continued with a smile,

“5?” He questioned.

"S.W.S.N.B.N. will be whatever she wants you to think she is. You'll see in the end but that's all I'm saying about that."

“People are different as they get older…much less in relationships than in friendships. I have no idea what went down between you both….but it doesn’t have to affect us.” He stated to her.

Then it got really heavy as he looked her in the eye.
"Look," She started not knowing what to say. "Dad's a fuck off and as a brother and a child of that monster you couldn't be any better and until this moment I thought you were the smartest person in the world. I still love you, don't get me wrong but..."

He shook his head at that point.

"But fighting is just a way to beat back the angers of your past."

“I don’t know about that.” He said softly.

"It's not fucked up and if you weren't there to fight for me I wouldn't be the person that I am today. And I love that person that I am and that's only because of you. Plus the only time you look remotely hot is when you're fighting. Even hotter still when you're bleeding or making the other guy bleed."

“Oh okay…I guess I will add as #4 to my list why I fight. When I am interviewed before my title shot at Anderson Silva…I will pull out my list. I fight to be hot especially for my crazy sister.” He said with a laugh.

God only know what this place would look or worst yet smell like if I didn't help clean up after you. Now that you have a new maid you're never going to see me here." She laughed

“She doesn’t clean. I only see her for a date or sleepover. Not that you wanted to hear that. But we haven’t reached the other part of the relationship.” He replied.

Kayla stood up and walked over to her brother and leaned against his sitting body. "And don't cry." She told him wiping away his drying tear. "One day you'll grow into your ears and look just like all the other boys. Either that or you'll learn to fly." She said tugging on Jake's perfectly form earlobe.

“My biggest mistake was never taking you down a notch. Even when we played around and you wanted to wrestle me after I was a state champion…I always let you win and darn if it went to your head…now its my fault you can’t fit your head through the door.” He replied with a grin.

Kayla wrapped her arms around Jake and kissed his cheek.
"I'm not giving you back the extra copy of your key and I'm still going to drop by anytime that me or my neo-nazi boyfriend wants." She whispered squeezing a little harder.

“I would like that. I hate having to find your boyfriends I don’t approve of. It is better they come to me to get their ass kicking.” He stated right back at her.

“Although I will have to curve sex by the fireplace in the living room. Oh did I say that outloud?” He added with a smile.

“Yea and?” He questioned.

"So imagine all the trouble I'll be getting in and you'll be too busy to stop me…..Maybe I'll go out and find my fake skinhead boyfriend and bang him all night in my roommate free room." Kayla threatened sticking out her tongue.

“I’ll never too busy to straighten you out if you get yourself in trouble sis. And whatever…I am glad we could be civil and talk this out. Like your reaction caught me by surprise that I am seeing she who shall not be named.” He replied.

He paused before talking.
“I am purposely leaving a weekend night open when I am not fighting. Much less most of the regular week nights for dinner. All for you.” He added and stood up.

He paced back and forth in silence. He looked at his gym bag.
“So anything else? I probably need to go work out. If I can win…impressively I might be able to get my foot in the door into the UFC.” He stated without a lot of excitement.

“I only got the call because a fighter was injured. I was a local guy for the PPV as well undefeated even at 6-0...still looks good to them I guess.” He added

"Yeah but as far as that pool goes I got all the good stuff. A BJ Penn is s-m-e-x-y." She countered. "And it isn't high-school just, yeah okay maybe it is but I thought it was nice then calling her 'HIM'." Kayla stopped herself from saying anymore because going from Happy Potter to the Powerpuff Girls didn't seem like a step in the right direction. "Whatever." Kayla sighed waving off everything else Jake said because she didn't want to start another fight and she was sure that Jake didn't want to hear how she doubted that.

"Jake does it really matter that you like fighting? I mean your good at it and it matters to you, makes you happy. I going to deny saying this but I think what you do it cool and I can't help but bragging to everyone that I know and even to some that I don't that you are my brother. So be happy about it because I know I am. And-" Kayla added with her hand on her hips. "It's 'I fight to be hot especially for my crazy and outrageously hot sister'." Kayla coached.

"Eww, eww, eww!" Doubling over Kayla made gagging sounds. "TMI big brother." In her mind Kayla was making snide comments about how she hoped that they would never reach anything in their relationship. It wasn't that she didn't want happiness for him, it was just she didn't want it for him with that girl.

Kayla straightened up and puffed out her chest and posed. "You couldn't touch this." Kayla joked, pointing fingers at herself at that with large swirling motions. Of course that was a lie, Jake's size alone would conquer her, given his physical background she wouldn't even last fifteen seconds. To add to things Kayla picked up a near by pillow and threw it at her brother. She tried to keep her face stony and bad-ass but there was a peeking of mischievous minx in her face that she knew wouldn't go away when she teased Jake.

There was nothing to say to that because if she ever did bring someone like that around Jake would kick his ass. And the fact that there wasn't a smart ass comment for that let Kayla eye narrowing and her tongue poking out.

'Sex by the fireplace?' Kayla was lost for a second before it hit her. "Are we talking about Tony?" He was her first boyfriend and was the captain of the hockey team. In fact he was her first for a lot of things. "I-I--" Kayla blushed. She and Tony did end up having sex in front of their fireplace but she hadn't thought anyone knew about it. "I don't know what you are talking about." Kayla lied her chin tilted up as she said it.

Kayla wasn't sure of she would have called this civil but then again he hadn't heard the things she had said in her mind. "I don't know why is surprised you. I'm not a hateful person and to say that I hate only one person in the world should be a clue as to how I might react when I found out, not from you might I add, that you were going out with the one person I hate." She repeated just to make sure he got that she didn't like Lisa. "But I'll ignore it if it makes you happy. But I swear to God you knock her up or marry her and my reaction now will look like cupcakes and unicorns compared to my reaction to that news." She warns Jake.

"Good." She smiled closing the space between them. She didn't like that she had spoken with such forceful words but it was hard to make happy sister about this. "Because I love you and I would hate to have to know what it feels like to miss you." Kayla said softly noting really wanting to admit that Jacob was a HUGE part of her life and she didn't want to lose anything about the two of them.

“So anything else?" Jacob asked then telling her that he was heading to the gym.

"Nope, not that I can think of. Mind if I follow you to the gym. I think I want to try my hand at freestyle rock climbing." She patted Jake's arm and smiled up at him. "Or it could have just been that your'er the best fighter in the state. This is your chance, you'll do great and soon you'll be the title holder for your class." There wasn't a lie in anything she said, Kayla knew her brother was a skilled fighter and that he would go far in this. "I'm proud of you. Now come on and lets go to the gym."

He actually laughed as she continued on.
“Someone really needs a piece of humble pie.” He said with a smile.

"Jake does it really matter that you like fighting? I mean your good at it and it matters to you, makes you happy. I am going to deny saying this but I think what you do is cool and I can't help but brag to everyone that I know and even to some that I don't that you are my brother. So be happy about it because I know I am. And-" Kayla added with her hand on her hips. "It's 'I fight to be hot especially for my crazy and outrageously hot sister'." Kayla coached.

“Wow okay.” He snickered and coughed.

"Eww, eww, eww!" Doubling over Kayla made gagging sounds. "TMI big brother."

Kayla straightened up and puffed out her chest and posed.
"You couldn't touch this." Kayla joked, pointing fingers at herself at that with large swirling motions. He just smiled.

"Are we talking about Tony?"

“WHAT?” He said a bit excited.

"I-I--" Kayla blushed. "I don't know what you are talking about." Kayla lied her chin tilted up as she said it.

“I know your not a virgin but sex by fireplace in my apartment? Oh damn…with that weasal Tony guy. No I was meaning I have had sex by MY FIREPLACE with the person who shall not be named. Since you have a key…I will be more discreet so you don’t catch your brother doing the nasty…even though it is his place.” He replied.

“Really? You did that.” He added shaking his head.

"I don't know why it surprised you. I'm not a hateful person and to say that I hate only one person in the world should be a clue as to how I might react when I found out, not from you might I add, that you were going out with the one person I hate." She repeated, "But I'll ignore it if it makes you happy. But I swear to God you knock her up or marry her and my reaction now will look like cupcakes and unicorns compared to my reaction to that news." She warns Jake.

“I knew you blow a gasket…and I didn’t even know if it would stay a one night stand sis.” He replied as he looked at her eyes as he saw seriousness.

"Good." She smiled closing the space between them. "Because I love you and I would hate to have to know what it feels like to miss you." Kayla said softly

“Look at my mantle Kayla. 4 State High School championships and undefeated. Gold medal JR Olympics. 2 college NCAA National Championships. One 3rd place and one 5th place…4 time All American. Not to mention all the trophies and medals from other tournaments and awards.” He pauses as he takes her hands.

“Yet on the top shelf…is a picture of you and me at prom, I requested without our dates. Another picture of you at graduation. Oh and two more pictures of you and me. That I show much you mean to me. For the record.” He added somberly.

He let her hands go.
“I need to go to the gym. I want to train pretty hard. I know the UFC or Strikeforce will take me but I don’t want a shitty peanut contract. I made more on the independent circuit including Japan than what either organization offered me after the Olympic tryouts. I want a six figure deal per fight and guaranteed 3 fights a year before I sign.” He stated with a proud smile.

“So anything else?" Jacob asked then telling her that he was heading to the gym.

"Nope, not that I can think of. Mind if I follow you to the gym. I think I want to try my hand at freestyle rock climbing." She patted Jake's arm and smiled up at him. "Or it could have just been that you're the best fighter in the state. This is your chance, you'll do great and soon you'll be the title holder for your class."

“I know they are still looking for me to sign…but the money has to be there. A fighter’s career is short. I had to haggle over this but I won’t over a long term contract…when Japan is calling. But again…I have no desire to move there permanently. I want you in my life always.” He replied.

"I'm proud of you. Now come on and lets go to the gym."

He smiled and grabbed his bag. He drove both of them to the gym where he did some intense sparring. He worked hard on his standup and refused breaks as 4 sparring partners continued to work in 5 minute sessions for 45 minutes straight. He took a drink of Gatorade then got on the stair master for another r30 minutes before 10 minutes of cool down on the jump rope. He did 2 minutes of the jump rope on a balance beam to work on his balance. He showered and looked for his sister.

'It's either full of myself or full of anger.' Kayla wanted to say but kept her mouth shut, she wanted to get over this and have a good time with her brother.

"Here? You mean where I curl up and nap when I'm not feeling good?" She asked not really wanting to know. Plus Tony was a high school thing and they had broken but before she started school here. "Never mind I don't want to know and I rather be confused then grossed out." But it was too late, Jacob had kept talking and now that mattered was cleared up at least on his part. "I was talking about my high school boyfriend Tony and Mom and Dad's fireplace. Not gay Tony who I pair with for classes." Kayla sighed shivering as she ran a hand thru her hair.

"Just please be careful, I don't want to see you get hurt."

“Yet on the top shelf…is a picture of you and me at prom, I requested without our dates. Another picture of you at graduation. Oh and two more pictures of you and me. That I show much you mean to me. For the record.”

"Record noted." Kayla looked down at her hands in her brother's much larger ones and felt like a small child again. "You're always making me feel better, always there for me. I just don't want that to change because of her." 'You're mine.' She added in her mind keeping her eyes fixed on their joined hands. 'The first move she makes to take my brother away and I-ll'. Kayla didn't know what she would do but it would more then likely be extreme.

At the gym Kayla just played around with her lax workout. Jump rope there, climbs here and some sparring with a few of the guys willing to put up with her. There was laughter and smiles on her part but her eyes never wandered far from Jacob. He really was something to watch, the way he moved and the sure movements in his body. Kayla chuckled, he really was hot while he fought and this was just a workout.

Knowing his normal workout schedule Kayla knew that he was nearing the end of it and thanked Marcus before she left the mat to shower off.

"Over here." She called when she saw that Jacob was looking for her. "So juice bar or real food?" She asked wrapping her arm around Jack and hook her finger thru one of his belt loops.

"Over here." She called out. He walked over to her. He was smiling as he reached her.

“Did you kick anyone’s ass?” He asked sarcastically.

"So juice bar or real food?" She asked wrapping her arm around Jake and hook her finger thru one of his belt loops.

“Real food. I am good weight wise. Although my MMA coach I see twice a week…thinks I should drop to 170. What do you think about that?” he said with a laugh.

“I am 6-0 at 185. I like the extra muscle. I was a takedown machine in college at this weight…it was my ground defense that cost me being a 4 time NCAA champ much less being an Olympian. But 15 pounds is a lot. Not like I have a gut.” He added as he pulled his shirt showing his six pack abs.

He walked with her to his car.
“So what are you hungry for?” He asked.

As he drove he made conversation.
"I never liked cutting weight. It makes me irritable. I don't like being edge like that." He stated. He sighed.

"Especially right now...I don't need to screw up my personality." He added speaking to himself practically.

"No but I'm pretty sure he tried grabbing at mine and I know I made a grab for his." Kayla said in the same sarcastic voice.

"I think he's crazy. You look perfect and dropping down to 170 will make you look too skinny. I like a little a buff to my men." She say running a hand down Jake's stomach. Which was rewarded with him pulling up his shirt for her to see.

"Oh no!" Kayla said dramatically putting a hand on his six pack. "I think I see something." Her face is covered with concern as she dropped down to be face to face with Jake's six pack. Eye squinting as she takes a better look, her nose at one point touching his skin. "Yup I was right." She straightens all doom and gloom in her face and voice as she pulls down his shirt. "Jake I'm sorry to have to tell you this-" She starts. "You know what never mind." She waves her hand erasing what she had said and wrapped herself around her brother again. She knew the unfinished thought would bother Jake so she left it hanging.

"Seafood." Kayla answers quickly as she got into the car. "And wine. Seafood and wine." She nods her head agreeing with herself that it sounds like a great and yummy idea.

"And you don't need to. Plus when you have in the past it made you act like a PMS-ing woman. No offence but it's the truth." 'But maybe Lisa won't want to deal with it and leave.' "Of course a few pounds would get him to back off a bit wouldn't it." She shrugged turning to look out the window.

"No but I'm pretty sure he tried grabbing at mine and I know I made a grab for his." Kayla said in the same sarcastic voice. He just smirked at her and shook his head.

"I think he's crazy. You look perfect and dropping down to 170 will make you look too skinny. I like a little a buff to my men." She say running a hand down Jake's stomach.

“Well I like the muscle I added. I just don’t know.” he replied.

"Oh no!" Kayla said dramatically putting a hand on his six pack. "I think I see something."

He looked at her serious for a moment. Her face is covered with concern as she dropped down to be face to face with Jake's six pack.

"Yup I was right." She straightens up all doom and gloom in her face and voice as she pulls down his shirt. "Jake I'm sorry to have to tell you this-" She starts. "You know what never mind." She waves her hand.

“Seriously? Why do you mess with m like that? I have a check up coming up or I would be wasting a doctor visit to feel like a dork.” He replied only half believing her.

"Seafood." Kayla answers quickly as she got into the car. "And wine. Seafood and wine."

“Alright I can go for some shrimp and lobster tail.” He replied.

"And you don't need to. Plus when you have in the past it made you act like a PMS-ing woman. No offence but it's the truth……Of course a few pounds would get him to back off a bit wouldn't it." She shrugged turning to look out the window.

“I do like the welterweight division in the UFC. Well lets see if I can lose a few pounds here and there maybe weigh in at 175 or so by the next card. Then I can announce I will be dropping to 170 and staying. Much less that might help my stock with the UFC. They have no one left to fight GSP.” He replied. He smiled.

“So after we eat…are you hanging around?” He asks.

Kayla turned back to Jake with a huge smile on her face. "I like that idea. GSP needs a good ass kicking and it would be totally perfect if you were the one giving it to him." And then because she was his sister she turned the radio to AM and found the radio Disney channel and turned it up a little. Not enought to drown their talking but enough to hear the songs.

"More then likely." She answers. "Its a little too chilly to ride back to the quad and I don't want to have to deal with that." 'And if I stay over that's less time Lisa could have with him.' She hated that she felt this way about a person that Jake liked but in her mind it was even. She had hated Lisa long then Jake had liked her so she got precedent over what he was feeling. Or at least that's what she told herself to make herself feel better.

"So where are you taking me on our date?" Kayla asked tilting her seat back and lifted her arms under her head to use them as pillows.

"I like that idea. GSP needs a good ass kicking and it would be totally perfect if you were the one giving it to him." She smiled at him.

“I wish it was that easy. I don’t think you go from fighting CB Dollaway as a last minute replacement to GSP.” he said with a laugh.

“Just don’t tell me you want to date him too. I might have my hands full with kicking his if he made you cry. I think I might be able to take care BJ Penn.” He added laughing.

She turned the radio to AM and found the radio Disney channel and turned it up a little. “You are the only one I let do that but really? A guy’s radio station in his car is sacred Kayla.” He mentioned with a smile.

He waited to hear if she was staying overnight.
"More then likely." She answers. "Its a little too chilly to ride back to the quad and I don't want to have to deal with that."

“Alright cool. I just need to make a quick call on my cell when we get to the restaurant.” He replied.

"So where are you taking me on our date?" Kayla asked

“Date? Is that your strategy? Out date the one who shall not be named and steal me away?” He said with a smile.

“Red Lobster if that is cool.” He added with a smirk.

One at the restaurant.
“I’ll be in just a second. Order me a tea.” He said and hit a quick dial.

“Hey…ummm no can do tonight. My sister Kayla is staying over. I am hanging out a bit with her.” He said into the phone.

“I know I know…I am not going to have you two battle in my apartment. So…well we talked about this. I will spend time with both of you but separate for now. I know…come on…alright talk to tomorrow.” He said and disconnected.

He got out and smiled sarcastically rolling his eyes.
“That went well.”

"Yeah but one day you'll fight him and you'll kick his ass then. And as far as my future baby's father BJ Penn he can care of his own. I don't know who'll win but it'll be a good fight." Kayla laughed back.

"Whatever sacred. I've washed your underwear, I think our relationship has lost the mists of sacred." She rolled her eyes and just in spite of him turned the music up two more notches and childishly sticks out her tongue.

There was a second of pruned lips but Kayla made sure it was wiped from her face before Jacob could see it. There was a lot of things she wanted to say but Kayla kept it to herself. This was their night out and she wasn't going to start another fight with him. Jake already knew how she felt about Lisa no reason to bring it up again.

"Please." Kayla waved the idea away. "If you weren't my brother there wouldn't be a need to steal you because you would come to me willingly." She wanted to add how men preferred the chase vs having to wait in line for their turn but again, she didn't want to start a fight.

"Sure." She nodded watching her brother walk away to make his phone call.

"Yes can I have water, no lemon and he would like a tea please." Kayla said once the waiter came by. The waiter jotted it down ducked his head and left to get their drinks just as Jacob was coming back.

"I'm sure it did." She tried for a friendly smile but it fell short. "If you would rather me go home I'll just steal one of your jackets and be off."

"Please." Kayla waved the idea away. "If you weren't my brother there wouldn't be a need to steal you because you would come to me willingly."

“Wow…I love your confidence. Just don’t get too dizzy as the world orbits around you.” He said with a laugh.

He made his phone call

"Sure." She nodded watching her brother walk away to make his phone call.

He saw the waiter leave as he approached the table.

“That went well.” He said smiling sarcastically.

"I'm sure it did." She tried for a friendly smile but it fell short. "If you would rather me go home I'll just steal one of your jackets and be off."

“No I told her…there will be times I do things with you. I am not compromising. I know you two will not be good at the same place…so I will just have to do things with each of you individually.” He replied and smiled.

“Besides…I want to know where the hell you came up with BJ Penn as your baby’s father stuff. Seriously. So…I would rather talk your ears off at my place tonight.” He added and smiled.

“Whatcha having? I think the garlic shrimp and popcorn shrimp combo looks good with a lobster tail.” He stated as he looked over the menu.

"It's not my fault I know I'm worth having and that because of that I won't make it easy." And again she reigned it with her comments. This was getting to be exhausting having to not say what she really wants to.

There was a vicious kind of satisfying grin on Kayla's face when Jake said that she didn't have to go.

"So you're saying you would rather my fake neo-nazi boyfriend be the future father of my children?" Kayla raised her eyebrows waiting for an answer.

"I'm going to have the wood-grilled lobster, shrimp and scallops." She answered without even opening the menu. It was an easy choice because it was what she always got. "With a glass of wine."

"Why who would you rather the father of my children be?" Kayla asked circling back around to that topic because it seemed the safest.

"It's not my fault I know I'm worth having and that because of that I won't make it easy."

He smiled as he looked at her.
“Yea I will agree that you are a special girl…woman. The father of your baby better be thankful and special as well.” he said drinking his tea.

"So you're saying you would rather my fake neo-nazi boyfriend be the future father of my children?" Kayla raised her eyebrows waiting for an answer.

“Yes…a fake boyfriend is good with me. Means a fake baby. I just have to have to get you therapy and not worry about you getting into trouble in the real world.” He said with a sarcastic tone and laughed.

"I'm going to have the wood-grilled lobster, shrimp and scallops." She answered without even opening the menu. It was an easy choice because it was what she always got. "With a glass of wine."

He ordered the lobster tail and garlic shrimp along with the jumbo pop corn shrimp. He smiled as the waitress left.

"Why who would you rather the father of my children be?" Kayla asked

“I like the imaginary boyfriends. You are too young to have a baby. You need to graduate college and get your career moving before you worry about babies. But seriously…I just want you to be happy. So..take my over protective opinion with a grain of salt.” He replied and paused.

“You are a very attractive person Kayla. Both on the outside and inside. You are bright and funny. A lot of guys I am sure have their designs on you. And will lie, cheat , steal and tell you stories to do anything to get with you. Just be aware that you have options…and a bright future…all I want is your happiness.” He added and smiled. He took a drink.

"Yea you have a right to be full of yourself." He stated.

Kayla could only shake her head at her slightly over protective brother. But she had to admit that there were about a hundred different ways he could be worse.

There was a warm tingling feeling that blossomed in her chest as he complemented her. It mattered to her that this was the way her brother saw her and she didn't want that ever to change. "I'm not thinking about babies or even boys for that matter. I just can't picture anyone being worth the trouble. And I don't think it helps that you're my brother."

Standing Kayla went to sit next to Jacob, grabbed his arm and wrapped herself around it like she used to when she was younger. Pillowing her head on his arm she sighed. "I think the same of you too." She said. "Being handsome, smart and all that good stuff." The words came out kind of awkward because they were true and nice and weren't shielded by her normal sarcastic jokes.

"Anyways-" Kayla cleared her throat and returned to her side of the table when she say their salads coming.

He laughed softly.
“That is good.” He replied.

“I don’t know about that but thanks. I am fighter for good reason. It wasn’t a toss up doctor, scientist or oh yea fighting.” He said with a smile.

"Anyways-" Kayla cleared her throat and returned to her side of the table when their salads came out.

“I just don’t want you to ever doubt how much I love you, Kayla. I know we may not agree with each other’s decisions or choices but they shouldn’t separate us ever.” He stated.

“What about Chris Leben? I think you would have great kids with him. A little dumb and ugly red hair but I would enjoy making fun your clan during the holidays.” He said with a laugh as he ate his salad.

"Yeah I figured you would like that 'eww boys once again have cooties' stage that I've been in."

"No it was more like underwear model, calendar boy or fighter. And out of the three I think you picked the best one. Imagine the therapy I would have to be in if you turned out to be Calvin Kline's newest boxer brief model." Kayla fanned herself with her hand. "It frightens me just thinking about it." And she shuddered just as the waiter places their salads before them.

"Okay-sure-yup." Kayla agrees spearing a large bite of her Caesar salad. She knew that he didn't mean to put that distance between them but she could feel it there just waiting to grow.

Choking on a mouthful of salad. "Gross Jacob!" Kayla snapped once her airway was clear and she could breath again. "No matter my DNA make up my children would still come out looking like Irish red-headed cavemen. Just not really the appearance I was hoping for my future children. And with my skin tone the red hair would be disastrous." Placing her fork down she smiled. "Of course they would more then likely LOVE their uncle Jacob and I would stick them with you every moment that I could." She gave him a look that said 'think about that' and went back to eating taking smaller bites should he say something that would make her choke again.

"Gross Jacob!" Kayla snapped.

“Relax Kayla…I don’t need to do CPR here. Especially mouth to mouth even as you state how every guy would envy me.” He said with a small laugh.

"No matter my DNA make up my children would still come out looking like Irish red-headed cavemen. Just not really the appearance I was hoping for my future children. And with my skin tone the red hair would be disastrous."

“I am sure your kids will come out good looking when the day comes…far into the future.” He replied.

Placing her fork down she smiled.
"Of course they would more than likely LOVE their uncle Jacob and I would stick them with you every moment that I could." She gave him a look.

“Yea okay.” he replied with a smirk.

“Well I am not doing any underwear commercials or modeling anytime ever and you aren’t having any kids you will stick with me to carry on the family business of torturing me…anytime soon.” He added with a laugh.

They finished up the salads and were nearly finished with the main course as the waitress asked about dessert.
“No I am good. I am going to have really work hard tomorrow to burn off these calories as it is.” he replied.

“I hope you aren’t disappointed in our first date…your probably lucky to get a nice meal much less I don’t splurge too much with adding anything else. Usually go back to my place and watch TV like a movie or listen to music on my stereo. I have a rep for being el cheapo.” He stated with a laugh to his sister.

"I can't imagine how you're single." Kayla rolls her eyes at her brother's el-cheapo mindset. "It's a good thing I'm low maintenance and easy but know that you're only getting away with it because your my favorite brother."

Kayla stands up and drops some money on the table for a tip. "Some on Cassanova, I heard that there might be a movie and some music in my near future." She smiles holding out her hand for Jake.

This car ride was better then the last mainly because there wasn't much talking until they got out of the car and was walking to Jake's apartment. "I'm thinking something scary or romantic." Kayla announces. "I'm torn between the original Exorcist, Ju-on, the notebook or princess bride."

“Wow…so that’s a turn off to offer Mickie D’s and go back to my place for a night of Spike TV or TBS?” He said sarcastically. He laughs.

He takes her hand.
“I can leave the tip. I am not that bad.” He replied.

This car ride was mainly the radio playing.
"I'm thinking something scary or romantic." Kayla announces. "I'm torn between the original Exorcist, Ju-on, the notebook or princess bride."

“Doesn’t matter to me. I wouldn’t want to press your low maintenance too much.” He stated with a smile.

“I get low maintenance…but what does ‘easy’ mean? My curiosity is peaked.” He adds with a laugh. He covers up waiting for her to slap or punch.
