WRITING CHALLENGE REVIEW THREAD ~ SEPTEMBER 2011 ~ PART TWO

Just a few little rules for this thread:-

• This thread is for comments and reviews only. Submissions go here!

• Please keep your comments focused on the pieces posted for the challenge running from 17th – 30th September 2011 only, this is not really intended to be a thread for conversation/flirting/mayhem and so on (Sorry to be a bore!). Writers should be able to find reviews/comments for their pieces without having to trawl through pages of banter (no matter how amusing/sexy it might be!) :)

Readers/Reviewers:- Please keep your comments and reviews polite and, wherever possible, positive. If you have constructive criticism or advice for writers please do give it but be polite about it! You don’t have to like everything you read but if you really don’t have anything nice to say about something then I would suggest you refrain from posting. And if all you want to say is you liked a piece and no more…that’s great too! We all know how writers like to be appreciated! ;)

Authors:- Please take constructive criticism as it is intended, as an attempt at improving possible flaws/problems/areas of confusion in your piece. They are not (hopefully!) personal attacks on you or your work.

• This is supposed to be a fun way to get to know new writers and potential partners, to exercise our writing brains, it’s not a competition, please keep that in mind!

• One more thing…suggestions for future prompts are very welcome and should be PM’d to me – Britwitch – as a link ideally. :)

Previous challenges and reviews can be found here.

Happy reading!

Untitled - fr33ks33k

I suspected that this prompt might well inspire something along these lines :D not to say I didn't enjoy this, I did, a lot! As always with you, very well written with an awesome sense of atmosphere. Very nice!

Untitled - Ask For More

Loved this, loved it from the opening to the end! The wolfy theme continues in this mysterious little drama ;)
Particularly liked your sections of dialogue, very realistic and fitted the scenes perfectly. Thanks for joining in, btw, always great to get a chance to read things by writers you've not yet encountered *grins* and as that was one of my intentions for this thread, I'm even happier to see it working!! :D
Will definitely be going to read more of your stuff ;)

Thanks for the kind words. That is actually the first story I've written in about 8 years - I've only recently decided to get back into writing again. So thank you for offering something for me to work with and get my mind back into that creative mode :)

An authors note: I rushed it out last night as I was really tired, but didn't want to sleep until I got something onto the computer. I just gave it a re read and made some cursory edits to cut out word repetition and some grammatical errors.

This challenge is now closed to new submissions!

Thanks to all who participated, either through writing or reading! Please do feel free to continue to read, review and discuss the pieces already submitted!!

New challenge coming very soon!
