Name: Alexandra Redmond
Age: 32
Stats: 5'2" and slender with B cup breasts, fair skin, blue-grey eyes and raven dark hair.
Time: 2045
Place: London, UK, Earth
Alexandra Redmond had just been elected the Prime Minister of the UK.
It was the culmination of a decade of hard work and the real toil was only just beginning. It was her father, Michael, who had founded the Britannia Party, a movement that sought unity for the UK, becoming one nation again rather than a splintered group of islands with different governments. England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland needed one government that addressed the UK's needs as a whole rather than warring petty factions. The Republic of Ireland's disastrous dalliance with the Euro had left them so indebted to Britain that even they saw Brussels as the greater evil and sought to consolidate ties that had been fractured for generations. Britain under Alexandra's government would sever all ties with the EU as soon as possible, seeking instead to re-establish commonwealth ties that had long been forgotten. Since Turkey had joined the EU as a major power the whole thing had been foundering and Alexandra intended that Britain should be the first rat out of the sinking ship.
She was the youngest PM in the country's history but Alexandra had been surrounded by politics since birth. The momentum that the Britannia Party had gained under Michael Redmond was unstoppable. Certainly nothing like having a dynamic young woman as it's new leader was going to slow it down. British people had wanted out of the EU for years and as the disparities grew between the UK's nations and laws, people began shouting that enough was enough. The election was won by a total landslide and now Alexandra was about to address her people. She stood in a BBC studio behind a podium, against a backdrop of her party's Britannia logo. At her request, flags flanked her podium; those of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Union Jack.
She opened by thanking everyone who had voted for her party and its candidates, announcing that she vowed to make Britain great once more. Before she read anything more from her autocue however, Alexandra turned to face the row of flags.
"Many American people do this every day. Their schoolchildren pledge allegiance to their flag every morning. They have a pride in their country that we have lost in the mire between our European and transatlantic cultural influences, in are frictions with one another as nations. I seek to rectify that now and to state categorically that I pledge loyalty to England, King William and the long term goal of a unified United Kingdom."
The nation and much of the rest of the world watched stunned, as she improvised a passionate pledge of allegiance.
