Humble thanks!

I suppose I should thank the SR71PLT/MistressLynn fan club for allowing me back on the board. My close friend Great_Brit has kept me somewhat up to date, and has even passed on the odd message on my behalf via PM.

For those who don't know, I was made a "read only" member in February this year and the conspiracy theorist in me makes me so glad that I managed to get that far up somebody's nose, and that they felt they had to exclude me for pointing out home truths.

Just for the record - it is a fact that SR71PLT cannot ever tolerate the slightest disagreement with anything he says and immediately resorts to insults. He is protected from complaints about this by Mistress Lynn. If those statements get me banned again, so be it, and that alone will prove the truth of my assertions.

Yeah, like anyone believes anyone mentioned on this thread had anything to do with the glitch on your sign on (although it amuses me that you would think you were under an attack like this--at the time you were the darling of the then-moderator and were given carte blanche to be just as insulting as you could be while, contrary to the rules, the moderator was trying to erase my posts). Neither am I fooled for a second that you weren't also Great_Brit. But this too amuses me that you'd put up this pretense.

We all post to the context from our perspectives. Some of us do it without the paranoia and gamesmanship (like your prefacing each reference to my posts by saying you had me on ignore. This was both shown a lie and invoked the obvious observation that you were a fool to comment negatively on something you claim not have read).

I think your paranoia stems more from your years of not tolerating any disagreement with your provincial views here than from mine.

Keep conditioning your advice as your limited vision of the UK market rather than as provincially arrogant sweeping generalizations for all to follow based on your notion that "the British own the English language," and you won't get dinged as much, I'll wager.

Okay I'm curious, is there really such a thing as a read only? Meaning you are not allowed to post on threads? That's weird because if that is the case why the hell haven't they shut down scurries whose actually done some damage here on occasions.

Beats me. And, indeed, Snooper wasn't involved in anything like some of the other posters are (and have been) without being shut down. Snooper was just being provincially British, distainful of any U.S. authorities for the U.S. market, (and, I'd guess, pretending more editorial expertise than he/she has), and pretty snotty about it all. That's hardly out of the norm for Lit.

Naw, it was just a computer program glitch.

But, who cares? It gave a glimpse of how distraught Snooper is. That was fun. I had no idea. It would have been awful to miss that.

It didn't stop him/her from posting under other names, so it's not like he/she really was shunted off the boards.

Sorry to disabuse you, but he isn't. I was, and am, a great fan of his "Delights" series of novels; we e-mailed for a while and then met. I saw the problem he had, which was literally read-only access to the forum threads. The staff of Lit simply ignored all queries.
I had not bothered with Lit, being a stalwart of another, less restrictive, site until he asked me to see what I could do on here.

Frankly the arguments are often so petty that I shan't come here much, and I find the stories are so incest oriented that I shan't bother much with them either.

OOOh so so sorry to disappoint you, asshole....but I'm not gone and I haven't stepped out of my moderator position. You simply got your crony (sorry Lynn but you have to be his to agree with everything he says and does without even a single word from you) to do your behind-your-back bidding and you were fortunate enough that I wasn't able to do anything about it with me being away from home, no internet close.....and even then, being with my father on his deathbed was more important to me than making sure you weren't taking possession of the EF.

At least I'm fair. Friends or enemies get called on the carpet when they act like jerks (just ask my great friend AsylumSeeker). I've received complaints after complaints about you being rude, railroading people etc....and those PMs were also received from Lynn since they were of the "report post" flavour and not once have I seen Lynn tell you to tone it down, stop being such an asshole or whatever else was needed to be done. Sorry, so so so sorry, not even a little bit to let you prove my point.

You and I have been at odds from the first day you crawled out of your sewer and you didn't like me calling you a jerk and an asshole at the time, and you still don't like it.....well tough!.. I won't apologize for saying something true. What you do "forget" or fail to mention is the few times that I said that even not liking you at all, that I agreed with "this" or "that" comment you made. Last but not least. When I took up being mod here I asked Laurel what was exactly the purview of what I was taking on. Yup, right there and then she did tell me that assholiness wasn't something that "they" wanted to take care of, but that if I wanted to try and keep people being civil to each other that I was welcome to do the "dust up"......they certainly wouldn't waste their time putting themselves in the middle of petty fights. From the first day I've been working my butt off trying to make everyone happy and making sure that no one was being bullied........that doesn't mean that I'm incapable of stooping down to their level, (like stooping so low to get yours that I might think I'm in China) and fight as dirty as they are.

I see no reason to play on your level. I'll be happy if Laurel reviews this forum. Considering what you posted in your last posting, I think maybe this has been brought to her attention. Perhaps at the same time she could review all of those complaints you claim to have received.

If she does nothing, obviously she doesn't see any of this as you choose to. And I'll go on posting to context as I have always done--and replacing anything you erase contrary to the rules of the forum.

Since you've been gone for a while, this might be a good time for you to reread the forum rules. And it might be a good time to start practicing civility yourself.

As I understand, 'rail' means to utter angry complaints or abuse - which is what you enjoy, sr, but destroys the Lit forums. Why do you do it? A modicum of apology to Lady C or snooper would be appropriate, don't you think?
