Being a senior had to be one of the most difficult things that high school had to offer. But, she knew in the end. It would work out. Well she hoped at least. Sitting waiting for the teacher in her favorite class. Language arts. Honors of course. Her mind traveled to other places. Like how much longer school was in session. The girl's brown eyes looked at the clouds. The chatter of teenage gossip and boys just acting immature as always filled her ears. She had all honors. Her grades were top notch. But still. Life was..a bit. Well, she couldn't put her finger on it. Her parents had left her a bunch of money so they could live confidently overseas. Seriously. Her family was a long line of rich business people. Secretly, the young maiden had about ten million in the bank. But no one knew how set she was. She lived in a plain old home. It had been her childhood home since she was just a young babe. But now. She was just..well alone. All. Alone. Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the classroom door opening.

Her ears perked a bit as her eyes averted to the man walking into the classroom. Like always. The girls got silent. He was the most handsome teacher on the entire faculty. And school board. And girls shared their crushes on the teacher. He was unattainable. But that didn't stop them. Cynthia though. She had always had her eyes on him. He was her favorite. Not just because she aced his quizzes and always did his extra credit. With no flaws at all. He wasn't that old...And he always spoke to her. Like a friend. Not some student he wanted to get off his back. A genuine friend. Cynthia usually stayed after class to help him with his work and chat with him. Amazingly. The man was single. How that happened she had no idea. But still. He was her favorite. Even if she could never reach his heart. With a smile as he walked in. The girls said good morning and she always just kept quiet. She was usually quiet in class. But, she flashed him her sweet, 'good morning' smile during silent reading.

She's smiling at me again...

Michael was considered the youngest teacher in the college he worked in. Some would even say too young, but what Michael didn't have in age, he had in experience. He had gone from working in primary schools to universites in foreign countries and now this high school was asking for his assistance for the next few years.

Then began what the girls under his tutelage thought he wouldn't here. He could see their body language, the small little blushes they gave, their attempts at seducing him; all were trying to get a good grade by flaunting themselves. To Michael, he didn't want their attention and he wanted to do his job right.

Then, of course, there was Cynthia. She never tried to be all sensual or provocative. As a matter of fact, she was the only one who actually talked to Michael, without hiding behind the walls of seduction. It made him happy that a student would take the time to chat with him, let alone listen to him, complete all the work he gave to her and helping him with *his* work!

It was Silent Reading now. Cynthia gave Michael her usual smile. All he could do was smile back. Today was going to be a good day.

Cynthia didn't flaunt her stuff like the others in his class. They made her want to claw their eyes out though. Her eyes had always been on him. Just because he was a sweet and caring guy. Yes, you could call her a teacher's pet. But really, she was in puppy love with him. Silent reading came to an end quickly. As always. Walking up to his desk. She had finished her short story homework early. "I'll be by later today if you need help Mr. M." She was the only one that called him that. the initial of his first name. Waving as she walked out of the classroom. She stole one last peek at him. If she was his favorite student..hm. She would give anything.

Later on during lunch. She had walked through the halls of the wide school. Looking for that all too familiar classroom. Finding it, she smiled. Knocking on the door and slowly walking in. There he was. Sitting at his desk. "Afternoon. Mr. M." Taking the pile of papers that needed sorting on his desk. She sat down on the corner as she always did and just did at it. Smiling and humming quietly. Her brown locks sometimes getting in the way an just making her want to scream. "How was your weekend?" Those beautiful brown eyes turned to look at his as she cocked her head. Why did she stay with him instead of her friends. Because one. Her friends only talked about boys..Especially during lunch. It just got on her nerves at times. Second. Mr. M was the only one who let her into his classroom during this time. Lunch was a time for Cynthia to unwind if possible. And it was always nice to hear his voice just talking to her.

Finding her short story in the pile she smiled. Her topics were always romantic. Her stories always about love. She could have been Cupids apprentice. Her story this time was the intro to a forbidden love romance. Her mind wandered to her teacher. He had been the true idea for the story. Him being the unattainable heart throb...While she could only watch from afar. None of the boys in highschool ever caught her eyes. Not like her teacher did. From the first time she had laid her eyes on him. She knew he would be her favorite.
