I know what you mean about cock pictures. Somebody did that to me and personally I regard sending uninvited pictures of sexual anatomy as bordering on sexual abuse. I should have just gone with my first instinct and trashed that PM before ever opening it.

In case you were wondering why I have been ranting on this thread, not my new friends on this thread, others who may be watching, I just wanted to explain.

I am a T-girl and have only really began to fully express myself as female recently on this website and for short periods in real life, and one thing has been a complete revalation to me and not in a good way.

Let me first give a bit of background. I have always been a feminist, more feminist probably than most women. I have always believed in equal rights for women. On top of that I have spent alot of time on another website speaking to women who were victims of physical, sexual and emotional abuse. I know alot about this subject and know about the existance of womens shelters and hotlines and the like.

At an intellectual level I had seen the injustice that is met out to women on a daily basis, even more so in third world countries and in countries where their religion places women in a subsiduary role.

But only when I started presenting myself as a woman the woman I have always been inside, did I start to understand on an emotional level what I understood on an intellectual level.

The moment that I started presenting myself as a woman, in the eyes of many men I became a sex object, or at least a person with a lower standing in society. And this is the source of all my ranting.

As Stella so rightly that said non of us believe that all men, even most men for that matter are bad, although there are many who through their unconcious attitudes are disrespectful of women.

The real reason that this is a woman only thread is because until you have actually experienced being regarded as a woman in society you simply have no refference point from which to understand at an emotional level the impact of objectification by the other sex.

Yes you will find alot of generalisations on this thread.

Yes you will find stereotyping which in reality does not stretch to all men

But this is a thread specifically provided for women as an outlet for their feelings of anger and sense of injustice for the way that certain male members of our society force us to live our lives.

Worrying that we may be stalked or assaulted on the street, carrying pepper spray and alarm devices, and online being bombarded with countless chat requests offensive images and sometimes being stalked on-line. Personally I have not been stalked on line but it happened to a girlfriend of mine once and I would not bet that it won't happen to me. Or simply men who consider themselves to be normal members of society making insensitive comments or unwelcome advances.

I don't hate men, but I do hate the objectification of women.
