Teen Titans (RP Thread)

To help categorize these adventures, I'll group them into chapters and periodically edit this first post to list each chapter and the page number it starts on. The second post will start the IC story.

Chapter One
A Dark Future​

It was a cool, calm night as Dick rode through the streets of New York on his motorcycle. The calm before the storm. He momentarily looked up to see Conner flying overhead, as well as various other members of the Titans. They were headed towards the laboratory of Dr. Arthur Light, a recent criminal that had been a thorn in their backside for the last few weeks. They had finally located his secret lab, and were about to crash through the door and take him down.

Following the GPS on the HUD inside his helmet, Dick turned down a side street and then into an alley, slowing down and stopping his cycle. He hid it behind a dumpster and then hopped up the fire escape to the roof. They were now only a few blocks away from the lab, and to prevent Dr. Light from hearing his motorcycle drive up, he hopped rooftops the rest of the way there, using his cape to glide when necessary. Soon, the entire team was standing on the roof next door to Light's lab, which was in the basement of an old apartment building.

"Okay, where in the lab is he?" Dick whispered to Conner. The Kryptonian turned and scanned the building with his x-ray vision.

"He's near the front of the lab, and it appears he's all alone. Could be a trap," he whispered back.

"Yeah, but we don't really have a choice," responded Dick, then signaled everyone to move. He leapt off the roof and glided down with his cape, rolling into his landing and then jumping to his feet. Conner landed down next to him, and in one fluid motion, the superman crashed through the front door of the abandonded apartment building and busted through the floor into the basement below, using his x-ray vision to make sure he did't kill Light.

The evil doctor jumped and looked up as the Kryptonian came crashing through the ceiling, followed quickly by Nightwing and the other Titans. He was soon surrounded, and was acting scared, but then suddenly he smiled, turned and grabbed a remote control, and started hitting buttons. Conner grabbed it out of his hand and flung it across the room, but Light just laughed. "It's too late, hahaha! I have activated it! My time warp will throw you all so far into the past that you will never bother me again! Mwahahaha!"

They all looked as a sphere of energy materialized in the center of a metal gazebo-type device. It turned and twisted and warped the appearance of things around it. It turned into a sort of energy whirlpool, and started started pulling on the Titans. They were about to turn and run, but Argent was closest to it and was pulled in and vanished.

"No! Argent! Bring her back!" Nightwing yelled as he grabbed Light, but the doctor just kept laughing. "Alright then, you're going after her!" He pushed Light and caused him to get sucked into the portal as well. "We have to find Argent!" he yelled, before diving into it himself, the other Titans right behind him.

They were overcome with the feeling of fast-moving energy, flung through a sea of colors and images. Intense winds surrounded them, a million different sounds played in their ears. It felt as if they were flying through peoples dreams at a million miles an hour, and then suddenly, there was a bright flash, and then darkness followed by a harsh landing on a hard floor.

"Ooow..." Dick said as he got up and rubbed his head. Once his eyes adjusted to the darkness, he realized he was still in Light's lab, but it appeared as if it had been abandoned many years ago. The hole where they had crashed through was still there, and so he used his grappling hook to go up and explore. The apartment lobby was full of broken windows, and the door they had crashed through was still laying on the floor. But when he looked outside, he gasped -- the streets were empty. Broken cars were lying here and there, every building looked broken down and shabby, there were cracks on the road and grass and weeds growing up from them. Off in the distance, some buildings were barely held together, while others had collapsed completely.

"Oh damn..." he whispered, before going back inside. He then realized he was by himself. Wait a sec... Where are the other Titans? He jumped back down into the basement and looked around, and wondered if because he had entered first, if maybe that's why he arrived first. So he pulled up an old chair and waited. And waited some more. And then waited a little longer.

Dick had started to doze off after waiting for nearly two hours before there was a loud crackling sound, and then Titans started appearing in bright flashes of energy. Once they were all there, he explained how he had arrived two hours earlier, and they went outside and looked around the shattered streets.

"So, if I ended up here two hours before you guys and I only entered the portal a few seconds earlier, then who knows how long Argent and Light have been here. We'll just have to... OH SHIT!" he yelled out as they felt the ground shake and looked up to see a giant monster running at them. It must have been at least ten feet tall and looked like a huge muscular lizard-type creature.

Lil Bo

He was tired of chasing Arg'n, the lizard breath kept evading him, but now he chose to flee down the Old York, his footsteps shaking and rattling all the old and derelict buildings as he fled from Lil Bo.

"This is SO not worth a measly ten mil creds,"

Lil Bo was hot on Arg'n's tail when he heard a voice crying out: OH SHIT! Arg'n swerved away and Lil Bo ran past a bunch of people that wore ridiculous clothing,

"Don't worry, he smells much worse than he looks!"

He focused his attention back at Arg'n,

"Oi lizard breath, I promise to use my knife and not my teeth! Stop running!"

Of course Arg'n had no such ideas and he kept running, Lil Bo pulled the pistol he had strapped to his thigh and started firing, the heavy rounds ripped through Arg'n's skin and some of the rounds ripped through Arg'n's knee and he finally fell down, skidding along the ground, howling in pain. Lil Bo holstered his pistol and jumped at Arg'n, pulling his knife and just as Arg'n turned onto his back, Lil Bo's knife drove through his eye and pierced the little brain inside the thick skull. Lil Bo stood up and lit a cigar, puffing on the rich flavored rolled leaves and placed his foot on Arg'n's chest.

"I told you to stop, but noooooo you didn't want to listen to me, you could have been alive now, fetching me at least ten k's more you lousy lizard,"

Lil Bo kicked Arg'n with his other foot and looked around,

"Now I probably have to drag your sorry carcass all the way back to my hog, I'm sure there is some scavengers here that will try and take you in."

With a sigh he grabbed hold of Arg'n's foot and started dragging him down the street back towards where they came from.

"What the-?" Dick wondered what the hell just happened, when suddenly, at least seven more lizard monsters popped out of various streets and alleys, all running towards them, howling in grief -- apparently the monster that this strange kid had just killed was a relative.

"Oh great," he sighed, pulled out his bo and extended it, and rolled to the side as one of the monsters came in his direction. He hopped around and swung his bo, hitting the lizard in various places, but it wasn't very effective. It turned and backfisted Dick, who went flying across the street and crashing into an old barber shop. Conner was right there to uppercut the monster, sending him flying into the air. The superman flew up and gave it another fist, sending the scaled freak soaring into the distance. However, it was only a few moments before the lizard shook it off and came running back to the fight.

Starfire

Keiya liked the night air, it was cool with a soft breeze to it. It was one of those nights were you would just want to relax and not do anything. But not tonight he was with the Titans and they were going after Dr Light. They were able to find the location of is secret lab, like other villains he was planning his next crime.

Keiya landed next to the titans as they looked at a apartment building from the reports Dr. lights lab was in the basement.

“ Well you can’t judge a book by its cover” Keiya whispered as he looked at the building, it was the perfect building to use most people wouldn’t except that a secret lab was in here. He soon jumped down and landed next to Nightwing.

He watched as Conner busted the front door down and break a hole through the floor and into the basement. He soon followed after the titans and stood to confront Dr. light. Then it happened fast Dr light pressed a button and his device activated sucking in Argent and Nightwing who after pushing Dr light in went after her. Without hesitating Keiya quickly followed after the other titans as one by one they entered the portal to a unknown past.


Keiya landed on his knees and his head hit the floor with a load gong due to the helmet he wore on his head. If he didn’t have it on he would have had more serious injury.

“ Ow I’m sure to have a headach “ Keiya replied as he pulled the helmet off and rubbed his head

As he looked around he saw the other titans on the floor around him and Robin in a chair he listened to what Nightwing said that he arrived two hours earlier

“ what only two hours!” Keiya exclaimed to him it felt longer when he went through the portal, “ well on thing is for sure this isn’t the past like the old Doctor said” Keiya replied as he look around the old run down building.

Then it happened a strange creature appeared being chased by another stranger who attacked it. He gave small laugh when he heard Starfire say "Then why does he not take a bath Nightwing? And why is the strange man threatening to bite the green monster? Is he considered food?" after hearing the other stranger say it smells bad and he will bite him.

After the stranger defeated the lizard creature several more appeared from out of the various streets and charged at them. He soon saw starfire and Nightwing engaged with one of there own lizard creature.

Soon he watched as large bulky walked up to him its footsteps shacking the very ground, as it neared him it gave out a load roar as means to frighten him into running away.. But it didn’t work, Keiya stood his group and quickly pulled out on of his Katana’s and held it in a defensive stance.

His smell was bad but the lizards beast breath was even worse than its smell. With one last roar it charged after Keiya its foot steps shaking the ground . Ducking under its swing he brought the sword down on its skin, but it didn’t cut through it well it did leave a slight mark. But Its scales with stood the strike keiya opted to use the other Katana but its risks would be worth it, if he was able to defeat it quickly. Holding out his left hand Kieya quickly let out a lighting bolt blasting the creature a few feet away. It didn’t seem to have much effect on it only making it more angrier.


“ well I guess I pissed it off” keiya replied as he braced himself for its next attack.

An eight foot tall bipedal tiger leapt into the fray with what might have been a grin or a snarl curling across it's face. "Let me tell you something Green Guys, Rath has been waiting a long time here for the Titans and he's not gonna let you set up shop here!" The abominations didn't seem as interested in talking as the feral creature and one of them rushed forward with a gut wrenching shoulder check that sent Rath skidding across the ruined earth. For just a moment he remained still before sitting up right. "Did you just interupt Rath? Are you stupider than you are ugly and uglier than you are smelly?!" Rath leapt into the air pouncing the one who'd just attacked him and responding with a flurry of punches.

"So hard to think in here." Ben groaned trying to focus Rath on something more than violence. Not that it didn't feel good to get some of the frustration out, and on something that could take it. Still something important was happening, that guy in black with the bird on his chest and the incredibly sexy girl who reminded him of his cousin. Thank whatever fates there were that his worst enemy had become his best friend to date his cousin and take away some very unwanted tension.

"Let me tell you something Green, Rath's gonna tear out your eyes just far enough for you to see the look on your face when Rath kicks your but!!" Instead of attempting something so ghoulish he instead got the creature in a headlock and lifted him into a overhead vertically then crashing down into a suplex. Rolling his hips he got back to his feet repeating the maneuver twice more.

"I'm waiting for something. For someone to show up. I come here every day at the same time because something is going to happen." Ben struggled for just a second of clarity. It was difficult to keep his thoughts straight with any of his aliens but Rath was unique in his passion for violence. It made anything more complicated than smash this one not that one difficult and sometimes even that could get dodgy. "Something that might not happen. But these people they might help me get what I'm waiting for."

Lil Bo

Lil Bo noticed Arg'n's clan, tribe what ever they call themselves today pop out of the woodwork and started to get busy going after the strangely dressed group of people. He dropped Arg'n's foot and sat down on his chest, watching in fascination as he puffed on his cigar.

"Well kids at least you can now smell them yourselves...heh,"

He watched as a strange mix of powers and weapons was suddenly brought to bear,

"Metahumans? Here? How'd that happen?"

OK OK not all them seemed metahuman, but there was some present. He reached out and pulled his knife out of Arg'n's eye and inspected the blade,

"Let me tell you something Green, Rath's gonna tear out your eyes just far enough for you to see the look on your face when Rath kicks your but!!"

Lil Bo turned his attention to see something that looked like a tiger walking upright delivering some serious damage to one of Arg'n's friends. He patted Arg'n's cheek and grinned,

"Hey, your buddies are getting their asses kicked by an extinct species that walk on it's hind legs and speaks."

Lil Bo frowned and slapped Arg'n,

"Come on you stupid lizard breath, Ima talk'n to you,"

Lil Bo pulled his fist back to punch Arg'n and then suddenly chuckled,

"Oh yeah, forgots that you're dead. Nitwit lizard brain."

He looked at the still raging fight,

"OI! SPIT IN THEIR EYES! IT WORKS EVERY TIME!"

The strange man talked just as oddly as her friends did! Starfire glanced over at Nightwing and Keiya. "Why would anyone kick someone in the ass?" She mumbled to herself. What an odd phrase.

"Smell them? Is there some sort of gratification in smelling these creatures?"

What extinct species was he talking about? Were humans extinct? She didn't think her kind was extinct. This was all so frustrating!!! Using her lasers didn't seem to help much either.

"Spit in their eye?" She asked. It did seem logical, sort of.

"NIGHT WING, SHOULD WE DO AS HE SAYS AND....SPIT IN THEIR EYE?" She asked, unsure if she should trust the strange man who seemed to enjoy eating green monsters ......and smelling them.

One came towards her and she flew in the air as it tried to reach her, then kicked it in the chin, making it fall back to the ground. It was still bleeding from the few times she'd hit it with her lasers. It was still ready to kick ass though, especially since the strange man had apparently killed their leader.

Keiya was having a fun little game of cat and mouse with lizard who wanted to tear him from limb to limb if it could catch him. He was surprised that with its big bulky size that it was still fast enough to get to where he was but if never got close to him. He was able to damage it slightly, it had small cuts all over its body but its scales prevented his sword to go in deep. The Yukikaze was a good sword but they weren’t entirely evil. Their leader was killed by the stranger and they happened to be there at the time it happened.

He was taken back when he saw a large bipedal tiger like creature appear in the fray he listen to the tiger creature say something about the titans before being shoulder checked and sent flying away. If he knew anything about the titans then he may know where Argent is or where she’s at.

From what he saw Starfire, Nigtwing and the others were holding there own against the lizard creatures despite them being slightly damaged they still had enough fight in them to last a few more hours. those lizard creature were strong since they seemed to lack brains. What caught him by surprise was that the one who killed the lizards leader was just setting down looking at his knife unconcerned with what was going on.

Keiya heard the man say spit in their eyes which always work, ‘ what blinding them or making them more angrier than what they already are“ he replied to himself. He head Starfire ask Nightwing should they do what the man said and spit in their eye. He would have preferred to send a lightning bolt into its eye to blind it.

“ Ah the hell with it” Keiya replied as he sheathed his sword and placed his hand on the other katana at his waist. The lizard Creature just looked at him for a brief moment before letting loose a blood curdling scream and charged his prey. As it neared him it took one swing with the intent in decapitating him In one full swing. As its arm neared Keiya the creature saw blood spray up in front of its face, after a few moments of silence it screamed in pain taking a few steps back grabbing where its arm used to be. With one swing of his sword he launched the blood of his sword and on to the ground creating a crescent moon shape on the ground.

"Hey, your buddies are getting their asses kicked by an extinct species that walk on it's hind legs and speaks." Some freaky looking albino biker with a leather fetish said while looking generally in Rath's direction. That wasn't the kind of thing to be taken lightly.

"Who is this guy?" Whatever, whoever he was waiting for, was it this albino? Not likely he's probably just another of the random mutates around. No reason not to smash his face into the concrete just as hard as this. . .lizard whats its.

Rath twisted three hundred and sixty degress before flinging the lizard like creature into one of it's allies and leaping to Lil Bo's side. "Let me tell you something Biker. The only reason Rath's kind are extinct is because of my fifth grade science experiment. I gave myself an A! If not for that we'd be busy stomping a mud hole in. . . whatever the hell it is you are!" If Lil Bo had a response it would have to wait as both he and Rath were tackled by the abominations.

"Rath is tired of being interupted! The tiger roared this time twisting until he had the creature's wrist in his hand and his legs around it's arm in an armbar. After a few seconds there was an audible pop as he dislocated the creature's elbow.

Cyborg

It seemed like ages before he emerged from the glowing light of the portal. His internal clock was on the fritz, trying to recalibrate but coming up with nothing useful. While Nightwing and Star were discussing the possibility of time travel; more him explaining than anything, the huge lizard things rushed them.

The battle was a blur, but Cyborg held his own, fighting hand to claw and using his sonic disruptor to hold off the ones on the periphery. He scanned the brawl, keeping tabs on his Titan teammates, noticing the presence of two, no three more combatants. Then Argent made an appearance. It was turning into a battle royale, and fast.

Taking one of the lizard creatures by the tail and flinging it into a nearby building, Cyborg worked his way closer to Nightwing, Superboy, and Starfire.

"What the hell are those things?! And why do I get the feeling there are more of them popping out of the woodwork?!"

"Oooh," Nightwing moaned as he climbed out of the barber shop he had been thrown into. He rubbed his head and looked around, then glared at the nearest lizard. Grabbing his bo, he ran at the monster, swung the bo around and smacked it in the back of the head. When it turned to face him, Dick dropped the bo, activated the shockers in his gloves and grabbed its neck with both hands. Its scales insulated it well, and the shock just barely stunned it. But this was long enough for Dick to grab a small disc from his belt and shove it down the monster's throat. He grabbed his bo and backflipped a few times out of the way as the disc exploded inside the lizard, showering them with blood and guts.

Dick turned and suddenly saw the person they were looking for. "Argent!" he exclaimed, and ran up to her. "How long have you been here?" Meanwhile, Conner was playing football with a monster rat that had wandered into the fight. He kicked it high into the air, then zoomed up and backfisted it back toward the ground, only to drop down and kick it back up in the air again. When he noticed Argent, he hit the rat with a hard enough uppercut to send it flying out of sight, and then landed down next to her.

Lil Bo

He got up as the bipedal tiger landed next to him,

"Well lisen ya...OEF!"

One of Arg'n's buddies crashed into him, his hand wrapped around Lil Bo's throat, Lil Bo has his knife out, stabbing wildly into the lizard, blood splattering and it roared in pain and anger. Grabbing the creature's arm and slamming a fist into it's face he noticed Argent joining in the fray, oh great, now she would probably want a cut of the bounty. Kicking himself free from the creature's clutch he drops back, his knife leaking fluids all over his fist,

"You are so dead, ya hear?"

Pulling his pistol he grin at the creature,

"Say bye-bye now birdie,"

The hammer clicked on an empty chamber and Lil Bo tossed the pistol aside and pulled out his knuckle dusters,

"Time to do this the hard way then, bring your entrails, I will feast on them, tearing them out with my teeth,"

The creature faltered and backed away, Lil Bo made as if to follow him and the creature decided to rather attack Rath who was busy hurting his fellow clan member. Lil Bo grinned and brushed his nails on his leather biker jacket,

"Piece of cake."

”Lil Bo, how many more of the clan are nearby?”

Lil Bo shrugged,

"Dunno darl'n, I killed a few, staked out a few and you know 'em, always breed'n, heh."

He picked up his discarded cigar and puffed it back to life,

"Say Argent, ya not planin' tah move in on my bounty hey? I brought 'im down and then those...new ones got in the way of ol 'Tilda here."

He patted his back and realized his gun was missing,

"Sunnofa, why I always lose 'em after namin them I never know,"

He glanced at Rath,

"Ya know tigers is extinct right? Look at that one, he even quoted Lobo, he said: "The only reason Rath's kind are extinct is because of my fifth grade science experiment. I gave myself an A!" an ya know tha Main Man will not be pleased to hear of that, it was what made him unique...well in his own eyes."

Lil Bo chuckled and puffed on his cigar,

"Gots to say them funny ones seem tah keep their own ey?"

Starfire glanced at Cyborg and bit her lip thoughtfully as she shrugged, "I do not know Cyborg, but apparently you can bite them and they smell funny but in a good way." She blinked a few times, sniffing the air and then pulling back, scrunching up her nose in disgust. "I do not agree with this theory, however."

Another one tried to slam into her and she dodged it by flying upwards. It growled at her. She zoomed in on the monster with her hands formed in a fist. As she flew towards the monster, it pushed her into a dumpster. That wasn't very nice at all!!!

Starfire slowly sat up, narrowing her eyes at the monster. Starfire with her acute hearing could hear the weird man who enjoyed smelling these creatures make a comment about keeping their own eye. It was at that moment the monster tried to attack her again.

She slammed her elbow into it's ribs slamming it to the ground. Her eyes glowed green again and shot the monster. Starfire landed next to Nightwing.

"Nightwing, what does that man mean by keeping our own eye? Should we be keeping someone elses eye? I hope you did not smell the monsters, they did not smell very good. I do not understand why anyone would suggest such a thing."

When heard Nightwing yell Argent Keiya turned to look and saw her he saw her flew up into the air and attacked another Lizard.

Keiya soon realized his mistake he watched as the Lizard got in close and took him by the head. His helmet prevented his the claws from digging into his head. Keiya quickly brought up his sword to slice the lizard man in half but before he could it squeezed with its hand and stared to crush the helmet in its hand. dropping the Katana Keiya quickly started to punch and kick the lizard creature.

As he did the lizard creature just snarled at him it quickly opened its mouth and brought it near Keiaya's neck but before he could take a bite out of him. But before he could Keiya pulled back his hand with his fingers extended and punched it into his eye. With Blind rage it tossed Keiya to the ground send him skidding across the ground. Using his knee and hands he launched himself up into the air and landed next to Nightwing, Starfire, Conner, and Argent.

He could see the one armed,one eyed lizard yelling in a blind rage swinging its arm wildly.

" Argent its good to see that your alright" Keiya replied as he turned to her as he removed his helmet. it was no use to hi mknow since it had cracks all over it. holding his hand out he quickly launched a lightning bolt towards the lizard but never struck it, but instead it it the sword and pulled it towards him.

"Smell the monsters?" Dick couldn't help but laugh a little. "Don't worry, Star, I have no plans on doing that, haha." He turned as Argent was obviously crippled by pain, and helped her to her feet afterwards. He thought over her explanation of what had happened. "So, you first appeared in 2051? That means you only went forty years into the future. So, how'd you make it all the way to 2082 without aging more? You said you were "not awake" for twenty years, but what does that mean?"

Dick pondered for a moment. "So, you entered first, so you were thrown forty years ahead. Then Light entered, so he must have shown up at some point between then and now. Then I entered, and I was flung seventy-one years into the future, followed by everyone else two hours later. I wonder why the distance in time was so great between you and I when it was so small between the others and I. I can only assume the portal reached farther into the future the longer it was open, and must have peaked right after we entered. Funny, Light planned to send us to the past, not the future. I guess his machine malfunctioned."

He stopped to eye the area, then turned back to Argent. "What the hell happened here? Why is New York a monster-infested wasteland? And why do you act like you don't know us... Argent, what happened to you?"

"The man in the black bird costume. Important. Damnit" It was impossible to get beyond such base concepts as smash and smash as Rath. Ben tried to focus for a moment longer but stopped when his eyes squared on another, perhaps the last of the lizards.

Rath leapt behind the lizard wrapping his arms firmly around the creature's waist and leaning back into flawless suplex that crushed it's head into the earth. Rath shuddered for a moment before kicking the corpse awayand reverting to Ben. "It just never stops. I feel like I'm gonna be here forever."

Ben paused and glanced around Argent was a welcome sight but Lil Bo. . .shit couldn't he get his own territory to patrol? It wasn't like hell wasn't far spread enough to share of like heros were in such ready supply that he couldn't just move a few miles off. Eventually the Titans would be here, at least Ben hoped if not with any lucky they could work the time travel equipment and maybe pick him up on the way home.

Lil Bo

"Well then it looks like ya'll have had some fun..."

he eyed Rath,

"You an' me gots to talk some time, furball."

He knew that making Rath angry wasn't a good idea, but he went toe to toe with him in the past and he was on the winning side before a group of rats decided to attack them and this time he had his knife and knuckledusters with him. He grabbed hold of Arg'n's foot and started dragging him off towards his bike.

"Hey Argent, if them guys try'n talk ya out of try'n to convert me, don' resist!"

He chuckled as he continued dragging the ten foot frame of Arg'n after him and away from the Teen Titans.

Starfire felt pride run through her as Nightwing said he would never smell those disgusting creatures. She felt like she'd at least saved him from the disgusting smell. What she'd found strange however was that Argent did not seem to remember them, any of them.

Had they not all been in the lab when Argent was sent through the time warp? Was that not the reason they were all there?

"What the hell happened here? Why is New York a monster-infested wasteland? And why do you act like you don't know us... Argent, what happened to you?"

"Yes this is very odd. Argent, why do you not know us?" Starfire questioned then turned to Nightwing, "Perhaps, we are in an alternate version of New York? Or perhaps we are so far ahead in time where the Teen Titans are unknown to this world?"

In order to be compliant to Argent's wishes, despite the fact that she should have known who they were, Starfire turned back to Argent and responded,

"However, because your memory is lost. I shall reintroduce myself. I am Starfire."

She nudged Night Wing to do the same thing.

Argent ignored Lil Bo for the most part, and would wait until Ben changed back before attempting conversation. She had learned that his 'alternate forms' were mostly difficult to talk to. For some reason or another.

The person who seemed to have assumed the alpha role of the group spoke to her, his tone showing an association to her, friendship, acquittance? She wasn't sure how deep that connection went. Lover? Probably now, his body language and emotional response didn't indicate that much of a connection. Pity.

"So, you first appeared in 2051? That means you only went forty years into the future. So, how'd you make it all the way to 2082 without aging more? You said you were "not awake" for twenty years, but what does that mean?"

"What the hell happened here? Why is New York a monster-infested wasteland? And why do you act like you don't know us... Argent, what happened to you?"

"Yes this is very odd. Argent, why do you not know us?" One of the women spoke to her, as she looked back and forth at the questions. She started to shake her head from side to side, as if picking up an incorrect fact. "Perhaps, we are in an alternate version of New York? Or perhaps we are so far ahead in time where the Teen Titans are unknown to this world?"

"Hold on for a moment. One at a time. You..." she said, turning to look at Dick.

"From what I can remember, which still is not much. Just fragments. The pain...thats a fragment." She tapped her temple a few times as if to reiterate the fact. "I was here and spent time fighting against Lex...he's your biggest problem now. Dr Light...he is a pussy cat compared. I was caught, went through a process he has developed. It wiped my memories, and he tried to place others in. I was frozen during this process, when I woke up, Lex was there. He told me a false reality...I believed it. I was working for him for a while, I killed some of us...before the fragments started. The resistance helped me. I've only been unfrozen for a short time now. But they said they worked with me for about ten years before I was captured...but I remember none of it."

When she finished, she turned towards the woman who had spoken to her. "However, because your memory is lost. I shall reintroduce myself. I am Starfire."

"Yes...I will need to be introduced. But keep past details to a minimum. I need time to process remembered facts. Starfire, its good to see you. Did we know each other well?"

The sound of a building crumbling caused her to look up. Further down the street one of the still standing skyscrapers broke away. Crashing to the street below. It wasn't unusual.

"This is no alternate reality. This is just your...our...future. After Lex took control. He owns everything. He protects those who can pay for it in the utopia he created for himself, and everyone else has to survive here. Fighting to keep the mutants and monsters at bay. Its the resistances main energy drain, and getting to Lex takes a side line. There are very few people like 'us' left, he killed as many of them as he could."

“ I should introduce myself “ Keiya replied s he sheathed his sword and walked towards Argent and Starfire. He listened to what she said had happened A utopia was built and you had top pay to live there. It was interesting. He also saw that the Tiger man quickly transformed back into a human in a flash of light, it slightly reminded him of what B.B dose. But this new person seamed to have different personalities when he transformed.

“So this is our future “ Keiya replied as he looked all around “ so the only way to prevent it is to go back into the past.” he added with a smile “ But still we may only prevent it not stop it”

“ My name is Keiya Tenpouin or known as Dokuganryu” “ its good to see you alright” he replied with a bow.

His attention was soon caught by the site of a falling building it was a large skyscraper, “ if most of the world looked like this he wondered what the Titans tower would look like” he asked himself.

He listened Argent say that mutants and monsters now roamed the streets and people were fighting them. But fighting Lex for them would have to wait, from what else she said there were few hero’s left to fight Lex and these creatures.
