My name is William Graft, I am a soldier of the recently made Terran colony ship The Ark, a space ship sized for around ten million people to colonize different planets. I am part of the soldiers made to maintain military presence on the ship and protect it from unexpected assaults. Humanity has been traveling the stars for ten centuries now since First Contact in the year 2000, and now the year 3000 is closing in within this month, Christmas spirit is high on the ship to celebrate the new millennium.
There's around two dozen different alien species in the space humanity had expanded through, most of them are friendly and open minded while there are a couple of them who are as cold and ruthless as the Soviet Russians or as racist and superior thinking like the Nazis during the Second World War.
The Ark contains not just humans but around ten other species of alien races, all of them are species capable of eating the same food as us humans, thus the reason for them to be allowed aboard was because we are a long distance colony ship and we need to maintain supplies to all of our colonists and staff. We even have our own artificial gardens on the ship that could last a century with the ship filled to the max. Luckily we are only around five million on this trip and it is only going to take us a year to reach our goal.
But some things always goes wrong, there was a saboteur aboard, he or she disabled our radars and a squad of ten Valencian frigates attacked us. Once we got the radar online and our fighter out of the hangars had our engines been blown apart, we had only traveled halfway towards our goal. The attackers were destroyed, their ships boarded and salvaged, while the traitors on board were executed.
We can still use the hyper drive but we cannot control were we go, we have managed to repair the central engine but it will not let us arrive until an additional year has gone by. We are unable to repair the other six engines without proper parts, which we don't have, so we have to build them ourselves and that will take months or work. So for now are we drifting in space. I am currently being called for a meeting with the Captain of the ship, I am not sure why but the people on the ship have been acting weird lately, there's been over a dozen people openly having sex in the clear open, which wouldn't be too strange if it wasn't for the fact that some of them involved more then two people and sometimes even orgies, with multiple aliens. It might be a mental reaction because of our current isolation as our communication with the rest of the galaxy is cut off.

He is the only one immune to the agent and many look to him for guidance as he's the only one capable of rational decision and he becomes the unofficial captain of the Ark. During the trip there will be discoveries of illegal activities, traitors, sabotage, pregnancies and battles between those who try to destroy or take the Ark for themselves. While keeping the course for the marked colony planet Chromite X.
