I have a really sexy female friend who is just getting into written erotica. I've been forwarding her stories to read, and she's beginning to discover that she can get extremely worked up over the right prose. She was an English major in school and does a lot of writing for a living, so certain things very common in internet writing are a real turn-off for her. Cliche, poor grammar and spelling, poorly motivated actions, moronic or pompous narrators, and confusing shifts of viewpoint all distract her from achieving what is my ultimate goal -- getting turned on.

So I have a question for you longtime Lit readers: What are the best-written hot stories on Lit? What stories turn you on the most but still represent truly high-quality work? Who would you nominate for the Lit equivalent of the Booker Prize or the Fiction Pulitzer? What stories are the best of the best?

It depends of course as well on what rocks your boat.
 
Does she want hetero smut? Lesbian? Real lesbians, or fake porn lesbian? Does she prefer hot men getting it on for the female gaze? Vanilla in any of these categories, or does power inequality-- otherwise known as BDSM-- get her going? How about werewolves, vampires, elves?

Actually, to be modestly honest, no other writer has come close to writing consistant quality stories as BOSTONFICTIONWRITER under the names of BOSTONFICTIONWRITER, Andtheend, CarBuffStuff, PositiveThinker, WmForrester, and now as SuperHeroRalph.

He/she is one of the few writers who constantly writes in every category. Having posted nearly 900 stories and nearly 100 poems, he/she has published more than 6 million words that have amassed more than 30 million reads and counting.

There's not another writer on this site who has accomplished more in less time. He/she is the writer with the most read story in all of 2010, I Love You Mommy.

Since no one else will nominate me or give me the respect that I so deserve, I nominate myself, BOSTONFICTIONWRITER, aka Andtheend, CarBuffStuff, PositiveThinker, WmForrester, and SuperHeroRalph.

Good point. Here's what we know so far based on what she's liked so far:

  • Basic hetero smut
  • Threesomes and group scenarios
  • Coming of age stories
  • Light bdsm

It's a pretty small sample size that we're working with so far, though, so I don't think this is the be-all end-all of the matter. I don't know how she'd feel about vampires or elves, for instance.

Literary aspiration is fine, as long as (a) it's successful, and (b) it doesn't get in the way of the smut. I'll check your stuff out.

You could always check out the toplists for the highest rated stories here. Most of the the authors mentioned in this thread will be there.

ETA: What the heck, since others are self promoting, tell her to check out my Chase Cooder and White Trash stories, though I certainly wouldn't rank them among the best.

Quite right, jomar, although see also some of the comments on the whole voting system as popularity contest or a chance for the trolls to bash or promoters to promote.

You’ve been getting some pretty poor advice so far. Unfortunatey AHland isn’t the place to find “Lit Readers”. Or authors for that matter! The non-writing lesbian left wouldn’t know a good story if they tripped over it!

How can a story with a score of 4.52 be described as "almost universally accepted as LITEROTICA’S greatest story?" It's a pretty good score, but there are thousands that are higher. You know as well as the rest of us that "views" is not necessarily readers. :eek:
