I've said many times, the real reason prostitution is still banned is anti-male sexism. With every other sexual activity between consenting adults that was traditionally banned and/or considered immoral now legalized and widely accepted by society, the fact that prostitution is still illegal has to jump out at people as rather strange, doesn't it?

Well, folks, the real reason that prostitution is the only consenting adult sexual activity that is still outlawed is in fact because feminists do not want to allow men to have easy access to sex with women because it would destroy women's power over men. The vast majority of prostitution is heterosexual men purchasing the sexual services of women. If it were widely legalized (much more than the limited basis in Nevada) the prices would come down, and every man could play the game whenever he wanted. If the wife wouldn't put out he could just go down to the neighborhood brothel and get what he wanted. It would destroy women's power over men, not only in the family but in society as a whole. The same reason flirting in the workplace is banned through repressive sexual harassment laws, the straight man must be kept in line and under female domination.

That is why what is perhaps the least harmful of the traditional sexual sins (and one that was often the most accepted in past ages), prostitution is the only one still banned and the only one that is increasingly persecuted by more severe government action. Look at Sweden which recently made it a felony for a man to purchase sexual services from a woman, punishable by up to two years in prison, while its not illegal for a woman to sell sexual services and there is no legal penalties to the woman for doing so. Norway has also adopted a similar law. Look also at the pressure put on Craig's List to get rid of the adult advertisements.

This is not happening in a vacuum, and its the social left and feminists, whether they wish to hide behind moral conservatives publically or not, who are really behind these efforts. Many morally conservative societies have always tolerated prostitution, including many Catholic and Islamic ones. Thomas Aquinas viewed prostitution as the lesser social evil than trying to ban it. Its actually feminists and their stooges who know that its really about power over men through sex by restricting men's access to easily available and affordable sexual activity.

Isn't Nevada like, a desert?

If they want to lure business,
they better keep the whoors.

You're a tool. I am a feminist and strongly in favour of legalised prostitution because it results in better working conditions for the women.

I gotta ask; did your mother beat you? Were you raped by a gang of women?
