Not positive of course but my thought process is this. While they certainly ARE asshats, I respect the spirit of the term "private" message. The sender likely didn't realize that their missive would become public.

I have been accused of being a tight ass or prude in response to unsolicited pm's, but these are likely the people I classify as those suffering from the "pretty woman" syndrome/complex. You know, just because I'd fuck Richard Gere from here to tomorrow (I write a story here and there and post a few pics) that doesn't mean I'd do the same for one Jason Alexander (doesn't mean I'm available for your personal entertainment). Or is that a bit obtuse?

BTW my smartphone corrects "asshat" to "sashays". That tickles me.

so i got curious and now that i have more than a few minutes, i checked the forum rules:

the forum rules quoth:

considering the longevity of this thread's inspiration in BDSM, it would seem the mods interpret this rule to mean that omitting the username of the offending party sufficiently respects the rule.

Or....the other possibility is that he/she is doing it intentionally to look for people who will give freely without themselves having to put up anything. Such people may be willing to try it on a lot of people before finding one hungry enough for attention and willing to talk about themselves and then focusing on them (all take, no give).

Ha! I got exactly the same message from said asshat. Because it was like the fourth or fifth time he'd sent me a gross unsolicited PM in less than a year with NO response from me (this was the first time he put on his CyberDom costume, though ), I read him the riot act and even pointed out he had a good chance of being humiliated on an asshat thread!
