Hi folks! The admins have asked me to start a poll to see if there really is interest in having a Literotica forum about fetishes. Do you think this would be a good idea? Below, I have described the possible forum, and given a sample "sticky" post so people know what it's about.

(BTW, I'm just curious. Your opinion is every bit as valid as mine, I just don't get "not" wanting people to be able to enjoy their own place in peace).
 
I'll be visiting this forum a lot-- and won't ever feel like I have to complain about the non-GLBT-ness of the topics.
 
Yes! Please! Not just because I really want to see the fetish threads gone from GLBT and BDSM but I might even participate... I can't be the only one with obscure fetishes for things like steampunk, and I have nowhere to put threads to try find other people who really, really get off on Victorian things, or female-to-male crossdressing, and other more obscure fetishes I lovingly cultivate in my mind.
 
A fetish forum seems entirely appropriate to me.

Not all kink falls under GLBT or BDSM. A lot of what doesn't WILL fall under "fetish".

amost emphatic and resounding yes to a fetish board, although I thought lit pretty much encopasses all:)
 
Voted yes, I think it's a grand idea.

The only issue I can think of though, is that a lot of the fetish threads come from your one hit wonders who never actually come back to discuss, they lurk and beat off to the answers.

They're also the breed who post personals in the wrong spots.

So can we make the fetish forum bright green, with flashing lights, so they can't miss it?

Mmmmm-Hmmmm. I've never really thought of a lot of kinks and interests as fetishes....but I'm not going to pick that nit here. Example...I have, at various times, posted in or subscribed to threads in BDSM....although I don't really have an interest in that; but found a couple of threads that just happened to be there. My interest in crossdressing ( or addiction, inclination, whatever) has had me spend considerable time in GLBT...which didn't seem right; but that's where the threads were. Sure, it will be a little different, but big deal. Many of us are apt to make some new friends out of the bargain.....possibly even some we may have previously been at odds with.
 
I don't really care. I do think shemales fit under GLBT, though. I don't see how its any different than the F to M transexuals that keep their cunts.

The MTFs themselves might fit in here, although many transfolk consider themselves hetero. The straight men who fetishise them, however-- not so much.

I voted yes for the forum Etoile. I also think this place could use a current events/ political forum as well. I dunno how well your in with the admins on this site but after the Fetish forum is in place, it might be worthwhile to recommend a current events forum.

Vitriol and venom aside; I thought that was the general board????? With due respect to all applicable parties, if it's not related to sex, sexuality, erotica.....why give it its own forum? Politics as it relates to sex(etc)...yes, but there's a perfect focus for the GB...

Honestly I think the GB should be about sex in general, but currently sex topics get lost in there because of all the current events and conspiracy chatter. I'd love to see a subforum for that stuff, but I'm not sure it would happen. I'll pass the idea along though.

Good point.....I was more focusing on the (un)necessity of political / conspiracy, etc content here at all.....but that's re-creating the wheel and a tangent discussion for sure ( which I try to avoid, hence my avoidance of the GB!;))

Yep, a definite "yes" vote from me, my main areas of interest fall under "fetish" (I view my crossdressing more as a clothing fetish than any great desire to be of the opposite sex) but are nothing to do with BDSM - hence a dedicated fetish forum would be ideal in my view :)
 
Would love to see a thread dedcated to voyeurism. Started at a tender age and have been obcessed every since. I'm sure there are a lot of people who would be interested. Hope to hear more requests for this.
