So, if it's a pride of lions, a batch of cookies, a herd of buffalo, a pod of whales, a pack of wolves or a bevy of quail, what should be the equivalent designation for poets?

This may have precendence somewhere, but I can't find it. Then do we have an opportunity here to define ourselves, our little group?

I hope so.

What is the "we" of poets? What should it be?

Since poets (and writers generally) tend to be fairly weird (at least by conventional standards), introverted people, I suggest the term a psyche-ward of poets.

How's that?

I would say we should refer to something involved with the libido because of our site location, but we write stuff that isn't limited to sex or sexual states.

Rationale for Pocket of Poets?

"Dark as a pocket" (and we know we're all a bit dark)
"Having deep pockets" (deep psychologically and giving as well)
"Keep it in your pocket" (trustworthy with other's deep, dark, secrets) ahem....enough grandstanding.....let's vote.

I also like Posse of Poets, Shock of Poets, Umbrella of Poets.

O.K. so it's a little wierd. What jumped into my head when I saw the question was plough of poets. Only sense I can make of it is to see a furrow in a field and imagine poems as seeds about to grow and make their way in the world. Possibly everyone could have their own term. Hard to say if "school of fish" is generally accepted term. Thanks.

Persistent, perverted, paranoid and pernickety poetic Priors pervaded and paraded through the poetry forum. Primping, preening, prancing and poncing about; pontificating a preamble 'pon the precedence of the lack of 'portance of pornographic poetry and erotic pleasurable pics.

Persisting; the posturing pedantic priests and petulant Priors,
perused, posing like pompous porn stars with pendulant penis's, pending on the perplexing problems. pondering their picky pimply skinned plebian like minds.

'Pon pondering and pontificating for plebbing hours,
the Priory pervs plundered their puny, prepubescent like
brains. Premeditating, pertinent, prescient problems prior to
their publication.

Problem solving they prefabricated the
purposeful, personal to be promptly known as Laurel and Manu.
Perfectly formed, performing personages. Their purpose to present Literotica to their peverted public as a perfectly, presentable porn site.

Pushing aside platonic pals, the Priors passed
a many pleasurable hour; pulsing with physical desire
and casting aside puritanical and proper purposes,
they plunged, petulantly but purposefully
into the place known as the poetry feedback forum.

Lit pervaded their pores, porn stripped their minds of
