I've often drawn inspiration for my role play threads here based off of other's works, and idea from erotic chats and table top gaming experiences. This idea comes from all three, and is based off the classic Alice in Wonderland. We all love the story, and I know there have been other threads covering this topic, but this is my take on it and I invite you all to join me on this literotica journey...

I'm looking for people who enjoy writing fantasy role play and love creating their own realm around them.

Synopsis
Basically the Queen of Hearts has set her sites set on being the Red Empress and is prodding her husband along the way, and is manipulating the other powerful houses to fall in line. The people are against her repressive regime (spiritually, economically and even sexually), but she has the nobles support, and a massive army is being recruited and trained. Who will they invade? How will the people resist? What can you do on the other side of the looking glass?

Characters
Characters can include any of the residence of Wonderland, but I'd love for people to come up with there own ideas, but let me know if you want to play a character from the story (I love hearing people's takes on long time characters). On the other side of the looking glass you can be a character who finds their way to Wonderland perhaps through the large hole behind the bookcase at St. George's Book Store (details to follow) or through a mirror elsewhere in Journal Square (main starting point for conventional characters). Also there is room for those writing fanfiction of Wonderland which effects what is going on in the fantasy realm. You could even have two characters, one writing, while the other is adventuring.

Anyone interested? post questions characters and ideas....

The History of Wonderland up to Present Chapter I
We depart from cannon as the events of the first two books have already pasted into history. They're somewhat different, but follow the general story. Young Alice (for Lit over 18 on her first trip) now resides in Wonderland filling the role of First Consul to the four royal houses (spades, hearts, diamonds, and clubs) acting as their prime mister and representing the needs of the people of Wonderland. She saw to the taxes and had military approval over the armies and navies. Both human and animal peasants thought she was a fair ruler, and well liked by all for the bulk of her reign. She had a railway built to connect all of Wonderland, created thorough maps of the region, and beheaded the Jabberwocky with her razor sharp Vorpal sword.

While very active for the first 10 years of her reign during which she built the castle town of Godstow which became her seat of power she's since become a virtual recluse, and old friends the like Hatter and even her sister have been denied access to her palace. Tax collecting and rail system have fallen on the military which is now directly under control of Charles King of Hearts. The people no longer have a voice at court, and nobody truly knows what is going on in the four kingdoms politically....

Guns or Not?

I've envisioned Wonderland appearing like 1600's Europe largely since I like the period, and I'm a fan of the Three Musketeers novels, but aside from a few things like factories (really large work shops) and the steam trains, I'd like to keep the tech level low. So do my fellow writers desire black powder weapons like muskets? Let me know...

I was thinking that nobles in their court garb would carry a sword like a rapier or long sword, good for dueling and fighting off ruffians in the streets. In battle though the go back to heavy plate armor and broad swords and axes.

History Chapter II Cards and Royalty

King of Spades David
A good statesmen, although not without fault, he's an acclaimed warrior, musician and poet, and in his younger years had an affair with the Queen of Hearts. He yearns for glory on the field of battle again and is supportive of the Red Queen's militarization. He see's himself as nothing more than a farmer's son with responsibilities.

King of Hearts Charles
Older and well versed in the law and politics he's often pushed to the side by his warrior Queen. He'd much rather be studying or out hunting. He does enjoy the spring jousts and is an active participant.

King of Diamonds Julius Caesar
Like his name sake he's a general and statesmen who sees his people as the best and brightest in Wonderland. He's built cities, roads, and ports that easily surpass any of the other houses. He's connected to the Red Queen's family by marriage, but a shrewd politician he has all his bases covered. He'd much rather be campaigning than in court.

King of Clubs Alexander
The most celebrated of the four kings, he united the four houses in the last two great wars fighting invaders on land and sea. A great horsemen and warrior he's capable with every weapon in a knight's arsenal. He is said to have had an affair with Alice while spending time with her during the map making project, and is said to have several personal items of her's in his private study. Alice also appointed him field marshal of all armies, but without wars he's been reduced down to commanding only his house's armies.

Queen of Spades Pallas
She is the perfect match for her husband and is skilled in crafts, military strategy, and many in court seek out her wisdom and council. While her husband leads from the front she runs the affairs of state at home. She launched an impressive castle building campaign, so now every town and train station, and port is protected by a small castle. She's also knighted a large number of women including Alice.

Queen of Hearts Judith
The Queen is on her second husband (her first died in the war) and her primary goal in life is to advance the state at all costs. She rules with an iron fist in her own kingdom and wish only to expand. Executions are very common, and used as tool of intimidation. She is vein and uses all sorts of magic to keep her youthful appearance. Her marriage is one of convenience and it is believed several of her children have been sired, by others in court. She's also known for having a blood red set of battle armor.

Queen of Diamonds Rachel
Rachel is the farmer's daughter and would much rather be attending to all the family's estates and having children than dealing with the politics of court life. She loves her husband completely and can see him doing no wrong, and even allows him lovers. In secret she actively opposes the red queen and has her on plans for a defensive war of her realm.

Queen of Clubs Regina
Known as the merchant queen 50% of the royal holdings are tied up in some form of business not just land like other noble houses. She believes in a full treasury, and is willing to go to war to defend it. She and her husband have had many passionate trysts with other noble couples, and holds wine, cheese, and orgy parties throughout the year. She disagrees with the Queen's new taxes and sees them as a problem for business.

Enemies of the Red Queen

While there are many opposed to the Queen's rule there are two central figures. I can run them, but would like to see two dedicated and creative writers take up the roles.

The Hatter

An important figure in young Alice's life and many believe he was the one to persuade her to remain in Wonderland though she made frequent trips home (time works differently between the two planes). He was once one of her chief advisors, but left the post to pursue commercial interests.

He became a wealthy tea merchant with his own ships and warehouses. He also setup catering halls, tea houses, large garden estates for fresh veggies, and even setup workshops for making china and other luxury items. Not surprisingly he also owns several hat shops, and mice are his largest number of employees in is various businesses...

Now he prepares for war in secret and is building an army with unknown means that may include magic. His agents are everywhere feeding information back to him.

Just some thoughts I'd love to play this role, but I'd like to see what others would do with it.

The Duchess
Attractive if not very heavy (BBW) the Duchess has a passion for life and for food. She has tremendous appetites for food and sex, and is the largest non-four house noble land holder. She has vast forests and farm land and truly has an independent state, and has not married in order to maintain this control. She enjoys watching fencing, chess, and is known to enjoy skinny dipping in the ponds around he estate.

She also maintains a spy network and it is rumored she is using her chess boards for recruiting (more on that later).

These are just my rough sketches for these characters and I'd love to know your thoughts and changes. Like I said these characters are fun and will play key roles in the things to come.

I gotta say I'm really interested in this thread. I am kind of torn though, I like the thought of the Queen of Diamonds but I really love the Duchess. I would be more interested in the Duchess if you're wiling to let me have a go at her.

I do have a question for you miss, since you are interested in the duchess roll how would you feel about having a pet as the cheshire cat... it would be a human more or less but I was wondering if you would be interested in taking this character on as a pet if you do happen to play the duchess

If I were to get to play the Duchess I'd love to have the Cheshire Cat for a pet. Hee hee, what were you thinking for that?

I actually have a few ideas for the cheshrie cat actually. I saw on your profile you have yahoo I did add you, if you would like to discuss it I would love to.

If no one's taken it, I would love to run the Hatter in this one. I like the character concept, don't think I will change much... maybe just flesh it out more.

How fun will this be.

LOL Pooh I think you played the Hatter and I played the Duchess in one like.... a long time ago... Do you remember?

I do remember playing the hatter before. He is such a fun character.

Years and years ago? Goodness. I suppose time does repeat itself. Well, at least we know what we're doing. lol.

It will be quite enjoyable to write with you again.

I don't think years and years ago... I think... maybe a year or so ago... I was also playing the Queen of Hearts... And BlueMageNeko was her personal guard... damn I gotta find the link now...

Well if you want to play the Duchess please write her up, and tell me what you want to do with the role....Though Rachel can be fun as well. Did you like the write ups? What would you like to add or change....tell me about your Duchess.

I plan for this to be a very sexual thread, but with a good plot and adventure.

Fill out the part below...and flesh him out a bit, I'd love to hear what you come up with when it comes to playing the Hatter. Something has already happen concerning him, and he's been to the other side of the looking glass...I'll tell you more after I see what you have...

More Information

Since I'm going with the 1600's setup I'm leaning more heavily towards allowing black powder fire arms into the mix...there is other random technology around and magic will be added soon.

Also to my two new posters welcome, I've already discussed this with Hell's Fury, but you're allowed more than one character if you wish. One can be from the "real world" side of the looking glass, and the other from Wonderland or both can be from Wonderland. HF has her cat, and will be having a woman crossing over in an interesting way.

The point of entry through the book shop is through a rabbit hole...something the Hatter and perhaps other have used, but its magic prevents most items from the real world from being brought through with some interesting results.

I will have character bio's that will be up relatively soon, but with that if anyone needs any help with pictures or such let me know and I will be glad to help out.

Fantasy Races...not limited to the books

Now Wonderland has no shortage of interesting creatures that populate the world. Living playing cards and chess pieces, animals that stand upright and walk and talk, and mystical creatures like gryphons.

There is a human and animal peasantry that works the large estates of the noble classes, so there is a cast of tens of thousands to choose from never mind all those who populate court. More on that later...

Most villages are some how connected with a noble's estate, and supply the manpower and material to make it run. Even the most minor nobles have a live style that would be considered decadent to most, so these estates and castles require massive supplies of food and spirits.

These issues aside the forests are populated by a friendly breed of wood elf that has no problem pouching on any noble's land. Sexually adventurous they willingly share pleasures of the flesh with humans and in the more rural areas intermarry. Elven long swords are a valued prize because they never lose their razor sharp cutting edge and many nobles in the cavalry will pay well for them.

Also in the woods are home to several species of human size fairies known for their love of sex with humans and love of fine wines. The can be told apart by their different wing colors, and females continually out number the males. More nobles than would care to admit have have children with these forest women. Most fairies are fond of children and will regularly leave treats in the woods for them.

Though once forest dwellers gnomes now largely live in various villages around the four kingdoms. These pointy hatted craftsmen are handy to have, and regularly tend gardens of noble and merchant alike, and their gnome "garden shacks" are a common site. The second largest profession is metal workers, and gnomish pistols are very accurate.

More to come....

Thank you dear....you will be my first example of how the bio works and rewards people. *S*

Wonderland Gazette and other Facts

Among the technologies that don't fit into the 1600's are the railroad, the postal system, and hot air balloons. Some other items have randomly appeared around the four kingdoms, but these are believed to have come from Alice her sister and other visitors to Wonderland.

Have questions please ask...

Random happenings

Farm girl Celeste quietly walks through her family's orchard picking up apples and placing them in a basket as she goes when she encounters an unexpected visitor. A barefoot wood elf in only a loin cloth and bow on his back greets her as he bites into an apple. She protests saying he shouldn't be doing that without paying for it...

He offers to compensate her and she agrees...Soon she's nude but for her sandals and bandana rolling around in the grass with the naked elf....for a long time women in her village speak in private of how a girl is still a virgin if she's never been with a man....as Celeste moans and orgasm she smiles and thinks despite 5 elves this spring she is not yet a woman

The Wonderland Gazette...
Is the paper that is most read in the four kingdoms and is printed daily, and has even produced color pictures from time to time. It has all the happenings around the realm and operates independently of any of the royal families, much to their displeasure. It is read in the morning, it is read over tea, and it read after supper, so it is the primary source of news for many.

Articles like...

Farmer Brown narrowly survived an encounter with a giant pumpkin headed creature while out tending his pumpkin patch one fine spring day. He held it off with his pitch fork, but he personally credit's the arrival of the King's soldiers and their halberds for driving the beast off into the woods.

Morris Vansnout gnomish professional eater and hatchet thrower was caught on crown land poaching not just animals but also harvesting the ripe trees. When the red heart foot soldiers caught up with the gnome he amassed a cache of contraband including eight pheasants, two barrels of apples, and one set of gardening tools from one of the royal gardeners. Particularly prize was the three dozen slices of chocolate cheese cake take from the cheese cake trees. Punishment is expected to be swift and brutal.

Oh drat it all! I had very much wanted to be the Cheshire Cat....
I dunno what the full details for her would be but I had imagined that she'd be the top operative in the spy network, a neko capable of full feline or entire human form but partial to somewhere in the middle. Flexible with a honeyed tongue and plenty of curiosity, she's the ideal assassin and bedroom spy.

But...since she's taken I was wondering about these portals between the real world and wonderland. Does your character necessarily have to fall through from modern time?

Well firs thanks for your interest, and ideas. Now a cat spy can still be done, just you won't be the one from the story. Could even be related, so still keep it in mind for a character.

As to the idea of your character going through a portal...more information on where the modern one is to come later, what time period were you thinking about?

Please be open and share your ideas.

I was hoping you'd be open to the idea of a relative-kitty. I was thinking something along the lines of Surrey Cat since Chess is named after Cheshire county. The description would be essentially the same as the one offered below but it could be altered based on Chess's personality and history. Let me know what you think.

Character Bio

Name: Mr. Hatter
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Nationality: British
Race: Human

Physical Description: 6’2” with a slim build. He has wild black hair poking out from whatever hat he is wearing. Sea green eyes. He dresses up mostly for his job, usually a suit with a bowtie.

Personality: This is both the easiest and hardest part of the bio to answer. The easy answer is, he’s mad as a hatter. The hard part is, he is determined. They say there is a fine line between genius and madness, and Hatter rides that line every day. He is brave, takes risks, and never looks back at his decisions.

Family Background: Hatter found himself excelling in the open market. It seemed as if capitalism was his kind of insanity. He started with a tea house, and then began to franchise. After a dozen or so tea houses, people liked his particular flavor so much, Hatter began to make a brand for his particular line of tea and accesories. Soon stores started to carry Hatter tea, and then muffins, cakes, jellies, biscuits, and Hatterware brand tea pots and other various china. Hatter took these profits and invested into his own assortment of hat shops, gentleman’s clubs and other novelty stores. He found out what hedge funds were all about and took the money from that to corner the transportation market, and now he owns three ships and regularly uses them to cut his own costs. (these savings go back to the consumer, of course)

His corporation is called Hatter Industries. This is the umbrella company for all of his current endeavors. He is the eccentric president and C.E.O.

Hatter also has created a mass network designed simply to gather information for him. He found out early on that knowledge is power. His network includes many different creatures, but mostly mice. Although he pays anyone very well for any information they are willing to give him.

Skills: Bullshitting. Public Speaking. Gathering knowledge. Sensing true intentions. Cooking. Hat making. Tailoring.

Career Skills: Hatter. Chef. President. Philanthropist.

I suppose he could be setting up an army. I don't see what side Hatter is on at the moment. I imagine it would be, whatever side grants him more profit/freedom to do what he wants. Other than that, I'm pretty open to where to take him.

I hope this is what you are looking for.

I've talked to HF about and I like the idea, so run with it.
