It just takes one of these cases every few years to give bdsm a black eye. Like "Master Dunghole" or whatever his handle was who was stuffing dead women in 55 gallon barrels.

This comes as no shock at all. There's a heavy online market segment of "high school bratdomme" stuff, so that the FemDom ultimate appears to be Lolita in men's imaginations more and more. You see women turning 30 and being consigned to the MILF bin, both in sites and in commercial dungeons. It's pretty fucked, if you ask me, so the idea that parents might get in on the cash grab in this fucked up a fashion is no news.

Seriously? For some reason, this makes me feel ancient. I've met middle aged guys like WD who are still chasing barely legal schoolgirl or cheerleader types, but never a middle aged guy with the hots for barely legal D.

What the heck's going on? When did this trend develop, and are there any credible theories to explain it?
 
Of course the issue is the exploitation and slavery of a young girl-- the trappings of BDSM are completely beside the point. Like the paint on the truck that hit your dog.

Quite respectful-- until the last paragraph, when suddenly the tragedy and crime are forgotten in the interests of EEEW LOOKA WHAT THEY ARE DOOOOEEENG!

There was a worse article at dailybreeze.com, the local rag-- in which the reporter got all investigative about the people who went to the club. It got pulled after a lot of folks complained about invasion of privacy. THe nature of the club really didn't have much to do with the fact that a former employee was batshit. Batshit employees happen in all businesses.
 
This is slightly off topic, but there are more than a few people that are GLAD that BDSM isn't 'accepted'. They get off on the 'freak' thing...the taboo nature of it. If it was socially acceptable, they'd get bored.

Personally, I think BDSM is pretty well accepted since we aren't getting arrested for it, and we can actually do things in public without worrying about being bombed or burned or murdered. I'm going to a BDSM event in September in *Gasp!* Tulsa! And it's being hosted in a *gasp!* Hotel! ^_^

The gentleman spent more time being surprised by the details of the fetishes than he did actually editing-- I found his reactions very helpful really; assuming I want a more general readership to appreciate the story, I now have some ideas of where I need to "sell" or explain.

But even a guy who is more or less into BDSM-- astonished by puppyplay. Go figure.

*nods* Oh, totally!

People are bound to be surprised by "unusual" things like, say, puppyplay to use your example, but I guess it's my optimistic nature to assume that most people are generally good people who are pretty accepting of other people's 'quirks'. Even sexual ones.

I don't see a whole lot of negativity regarding BDSM mostly I -think- because I don't -look- for it?...the only person I've ever met that was really honestly against it has been my mother, who HATES the fact that I'm in a D/s relationship with Mister. That's only because she has a seriously Dominant personality and has totally emasculated my father to within an inch of his testosterone and I believe she expected me to 'take after her' and 'wear the pants' in my marriage. :/

Honestly, though, anyone else who I've ever spoken to about sexual things has been surprised about certain things, but I've never seen anyone be morally repulsed by BDSM. Because of this, I still have a positive outlook when it comes to vanilla people being accepting of kinked people. We certainly don't live in Burqua-town, to use one example, where leaving the house without a male escort would get me raped and killed. I don't expect anyone to congratulate me for my kinks, I just like the fact that I don't get harassed for them. ^_^ I'm pretty content with that. Honestly.

I don't know how it happened, but I can tell you right now the bratty teen princess is by far my biggest money-maker. I already sound like a 12 year old, anyway, so I just act dumb and go with it. *Shrug*

My theory is these guys think it's more "humiliating" to be "forced" to do something by someone they think is half or a third their age.

I think it's always existed as an option on the buffet, see Nabokov. However I think it's gotten traction in the last 10-15 years. I hear more guys saying they prefer Dommes in their early 20's to Dommes in their 40's, and I think this is a change.

I dunno, my theory is that we have 20 year old faces selling anti aging under eye cream, now "young" has to be 13. Fucking sick.

Excuse me? Having a visual appreciation for cheerleaders and chasing them are two completely different things. Yes, I have talked to many college girls over the years but that was always based on their attraction and not my promotion. I rarely contact anyone first.

And I don't see the significance of what a market for this has to do with anything. There is always a market for child pornography but it doesn't make it any less repulsive. The girl in question was 12 when she was forced into her Domme training.

I don't particularly care if BDSM every is mainstream. I don't care if it isn't. I'm just royally pissed at the 'parents' of that child. I sincerely hope they get put in with the general population in jail. Son of a bitches.
