Taia's Appearance: http://i1005.photobucket.com/albums/af180/Taliah32/Demonotica__s_Cat_by_DrewGardner.jpg?t=1281047074

Taia Mall'ae (TIE-uh MAL-ay), or Tai, as she was called, stood at the front of her ship. The beautiful tropical sun beat down on her face, warming her lightly tanned features. The brisk ocean breeze carried with it the pleasant salty tang that she had come to know and love. It seemed to dance playfully with her silky blonde locks. Raising her arms to the sky, she chanted her magical words, and the wind was suddenly behind them, pushing her proud vessel forward with great speed. Windcatcher's like her were rare and valuable in the archipelago. Their magical ability to control the weather mad them an important part of commerce in the area. Tai was young for a Windcatcher, especially one so powerful, at just 20 years old. She had captained this ship for almost two years now. She left the prow, heading for her quarters. Her heeled boots tapped against the worn boards.

A crewman in the crows nest called out, pointing out to sea. "Ship ahoy!" Pulling out her telescope, she peered in the direction he pointed. Her heart fluttered in fear. It was the fleet of Warlord Garret. They were known to pirate peaceful merchants, and worse... If he got a hold of a Windcatcher... he could rule the seas with an iron fist. She raised her melodic voice and shouted. "Hard to starboard!" They turned, and they turned again, and again. Four ships closed steadily on their position. Taia felt fear begin to settle in her stomach. They were going to be captured.

She offered herself willingly when they reached her, and the men agreed to spare her crew, and drop them off at the next island. Her fate, however, was to remain their prisoner. A strong, breathtakingly handsome man approached her, his eyes boring into her soul. His calloused hands lifted her chin. "You belong to me now, Windcatcher." She shuddered as he clasped a thin black leather collar snugly around her slim neck. One of his crewman bound her hands behind her back. "I am Garret." He raised his hand, showing her a silver ring on his left hand. "This ring is magically linked to your collar. It prevents you from using magic without my permission. You will feel what I wish you to feel, and perform the tasks I wish you to perform. Get that through your pretty little head. Understand?"

She said nothing, a defiant glint in her eyes. He chuckled, looking away. "Take her to the ship, and find her some quarters. We will have use for her soon enough."

"Rahn!"

"Aye, Captain." The dark skinned man almost loped up beside Garret. Both men were tall, Garret being more solid of build while Rahn was lithe and wiry. Both wore clothing of comfort, rather than of any cultural lines or display of significance.

"Get the prisoners secured, inventory the hold and put a skeleton crew aboard her." Garret turned to the captured crew. "I'll be honouring the word given to your Captain. But if any of you cause trouble, you'll be walking the rest of the way to the island."

"Bryce, put the Windcatcher in my quarters for now. She and I'll be talking soon." Garret's crew laughed raunchily as Bryce led her to his personal domain onboard his ship. He left Rahn to organise the rest of the capture. The newly acquired vessel was sound, but he still needed to decide whether he would add to his fleet, or sell one of the ships while keeping a decent sized fleet.

He jumped back aboard his own vessel, Wavecutter. The sounds of rejoicing in another successful pillaging merged with those of the men hard at work. If nothing else, the Windcatcher made the raid worthwhile.

He entered his quarters, closing the door and looking on the fine sample of the female half of the species. She was young, well shaped and very good looking. He walked over to his main table, pouring himself a drink from the low set pottery jug into a clay mug.

"Since you were a captain, this will be easy for you to understand. You will do everything I want you to do. If not, I'll punish you worse than the lowest hand on this ship. Do as you're told, and you'll be rewarded. And that applies to every moment from here on. On this ship, on dry land. Anywhere."

He took a long pull from the mug, letting the roughness of the alcohol warm him from inside.

"And to show you I was not joking about the ring and the collar." His voice took on a stern commanding tone. "You will not remove the collar, nor allow anyone else to remove it but me." He paused as he felt the slight warmth of the ring to fade. "Now, for a taste of what else it can do." He paused again. "Pain."

He let her experience that aspect of her new reality for a few seconds before ceasing it. He looked at her calmly, sipping from his mug.

"Have we an understanding now, girl? Or shall I remind you some more?"

"Get the prisoners secured, inventory the hold and put a skeleton crew aboard her." Taia felt the tinge of guilt leak through her fear of what was to come. Her ship, the Summer Ray, had served her well in the time she had captained it. Admiral Garret would find the hold filled with immensely valuable spices and jewelry. Taia's gift had brought her great wealth. Although her ship was small, she could afford to carry high-value items. "I'll be honouring the word given to your Captain. But if any of you cause trouble, you'll be walking the rest of the way to the island."

"Bryce, put the Windcatcher in my quarters for now. She and I'll be talking soon." The way his crew laughed made her shiver. Propaganda had assured the public that he was little more than a common pirate. Surely a common pirate would have killed her crew. For that much she was grateful to him. Even so, the way they laughed... She tried not to imagine his hands roaming over her body, taking what he pleased. With a determined grimace set on her face, she decided her course of action. I will fight him every step of the way!

The man who had bound her hands pushed her forward. "Come on, sweetheart." She snapped testily. "I'm not your sweetheart, pig!" He pushed her forward harder, and she stumbled as she began to walk, laughing at her. "Thats right, you're not my sweetheart." They walked through the Warlords men, most of them hard at work, preparing to be on their way. Many of them spared her a hungry gaze, and she cursed herself for wearing such clothes. It had not been a problem on her vessel. Women were not so rare on the seas these days, but, Taia reflected, the only reason she had achieved her position was because she was a Windcatcher. That fact made her, with the possible exception of this very moment, a safe person to work with. Most pirates did not have the resources that the Warlord did, and if she wanted to, all she had to do was command the wind and outrun them.

They entered what she could only assume were Garrets quarters. The man secured her arms to one of the posts of his bed, forcing her to kneel on the floor. The bed was bolted to the floor. No chance for escape. After several minutes, the door opened, and Garret himself walked through. She felt her heart race, and tried to hide her fear from her captor. He barely paid her any mind as he poured himself a drink.

"Since you were a captain, this will be easy for you to understand. You will do everything I want you to do. If not, I'll punish you worse than the lowest hand on this ship. Do as you're told, and you'll be rewarded. And that applies to every moment from here on. On this ship, on dry land. Anywhere." She raised her chin, trying to look as regal as she could while kneeling. He was taller than her anyway, but she desperately wished she could stand. On a deeper level, his words stung her, and she suppressed a shudder. I am to be a... a slave... The implications were not lost on her, and she felt her fear grow.

"And to show you I was not joking about the ring and the collar; you will not remove the collar, nor allow anyone else to remove it but me." Her liquid blue-green eyes burned up at him, inwardly appalled that he would take such a tone with her. As if she were a dog! "Now, for a taste of what else it can do. Pain."

Taia sucked in a stuttering gasp, biting her lip to stifle her cries. The pain came at her in torrents, crashing over her body from head to toe. She squirmed in her bonds, eventually unable to stop the pained whimper from escaping her. It felt as if a thousand tiny needles were pricking her at once. And yet, they left no mark on her skin. It went on for another second, two seconds... She moaned, straining against her bound hands. And then it had stopped. Her terror of her situation was now in full swing. How can he have this much control? I have to find a way to get this collar off of me! She felt mild panic welling up within her.

"Have we an understanding now, girl? Or shall I remind you some more?"

Her cheeks were flushed pink, her breath labored. "I understand, Captain Garret." She had to play nice, at least until he released her crew. She could not trust him to keep his word, and the last thing she wanted was to provoke him. There was something that stuck in her mind, however. "My name... It's Taia, not girl." She looked up at him, still recovering from the pain her had given her.

"Well, that may be the name that they gave you, girl, but I'll call you what I damn well please." He wandered over to where she was secured, quickly freeing her from his bed. He hauled her to her feet, holding her at arm's length, leering at her. He liked the cut of her clothing, and the way that she filled it. He felt himself stiffen at the sight of her. He laughed softly, knowing that soon enough, he would sate himself with her in his bed.

"The Gods must have heard my prayers for once. Not only have I a Windcatcher, but a fine looking piece at that. You wont be just catching wind, girl. Not with a body like that. Not going to waste such a luscious body like that.

"I have lost entire crews trying to get one of your kind. Yet, today, you hand yourself over without a fight." He took a hold of her chin, turning her face towards his. "For that, I am going to be very generous. Your crew will be left on Calliff Isle. They should be found by some passing ships on the southern trade lane. Because if nothing else, taking you is a prize far more precious than anything else aboard that ship."

He took her in a rough, kiss. He claimed her mouth for himself in another demonstration of his command over her. His free arm wrapped around her, drawing her close to him. His body was full of hard muscle from his time aboard a ship. He pressed as much of her against him as possible, making it evident that he was aroused by her. He took his time enjoying her, getting a feel for her mouth, as well as getting a better idea of how she would feel pressed against him when he finally took her to his bunk.

"My, you are a tasty one." Garret smiled broadly. He gave her a gentle shove back onto his bed before heading to the table once more. He heard the calls of his crew to separate from the captured vessel, and the first mate calling out for the ship to make ready to sail. He downed the last dregs of his drink, before returning to where Taia lay.

"No, girl, I have work to do, being the Captain of this ship, and commander of the fleet as well. Why don't you get some rest, and think on your new life." He tied up her legs at the ankles, pausing to run his hand up her shapely limbs. He walked to the door to his cabin, stopping to look back at her.

"By the way, girl," his voice took on the tone of command again. "You will not make any attempts to kill yourself, or harm yourself." Again, the silver ring warmed slightly. He smiled knowingly, before heading out onto the deck.

"Signal the ships to form up, and make sail for Calliff. We'll drop off the crew there, and return home to celebrate our good fortune. And if the Gods are smiling on us some more, there will be a nice fat merchantman in need of slimming down."

The cheer was short, before senior crew started working to get the ship heading to their first destination. Garret looked over at the newest addition to the fleet, watching Rahn get the vessel moving. His most loyal crewman looked back his way, making a few gestures before waving. Garret gestured back, letting Rahn know that he understood that there was a large amount of wealth aboard the captured vessel. The sky was clear, the winds were favourable and he finally caught a Windcatcher.

"Tis a great day to be a Captain."

"I have lost entire crews trying to get one of your kind. Yet, today, you hand yourself over without a fight." She felt a calloused hand cup her chin, forcing her to look her captor in the eyes. She had felt his hungry eyes on her, and it made her shiver. She knew beyond a doubt now, that he was going to take her, unwilling... Perhaps for the remainder of her life. The thought made her shiver in his arms. She wished her hands were free, that she could at least push him away. "For that, I am going to be very generous. Your crew will be left on Calliff Isle. They should be found by some passing ships on the southern trade lane. Because if nothing else, taking you is a prize far more precious than anything else aboard that ship."

He pulled the young woman tight to him, claiming her mouth in a fierce kiss. "Mmmph!" his statuesque body was hard and unforgiving, a contrast to Taia's smooth skin and soft curves. She squirmed against him in a futile struggle for a few seconds, eventually giving in, tears forming in her expressive aqua eyes. He took his sweet time plundering her full lips. When he broke from her, she could not look at him. A single tear slipped down her cheek.

"My, you are a tasty one." He shoved her onto the bed, and she rolled to her side to reduce strain on her shoulders. "Now, girl, I have work to do, being the Captain of this ship, and commander of the fleet as well. Why don't you get some rest, and think on your new life." He bound her ankles together as he had her wrists, not even bothering to remove her boots. Just as well, the rope on her wrists was beginning to chafe painfully. Her body jerked away from his touch, but was unable to keep him from trailing up her bare thigh.

"By the way, girl, you will not make any attempts to kill yourself, or harm yourself." She heard the door shut behind him, and she was alone.

She squeezed her eyes shut, which did nothing to stem the tears now flowing freely from her, whispering sorrowfully into the rough pillow she rested on. "I hate you..." Anger welled up inside her, an infinite fury. She kicked her bound feet against the bed post, shouting. "I hate you!" Panic and fear mixed to form a special kind of madness. She struggled against her bonds, even though she knew she could not escape. She kicked against the bedpost, even though she knew it would not break.

Calming herself, she descended into crying softly into the pillow, her tears soaking into the fabric. This is so awful... I can't live like this... The knowledge that he would be coming for her hung over her until her tears had lulled her into a fitful sleep. It is remarkable how tiring distress can be...

She awoke to the sound of a door creaking open... Light! I should have stayed awake! She should have been contemplating and savoring every moment of solitude, every moment of peace in the absence of him. She should have been making use of her time, enjoying the final moments of her freedom before she was captured. A cascade of regrets washed over her, as the sound of his boots reached her ears, drawing ever closer. She could not bring herself to turn and look at him, and remained with her back to him, facing the wall of the cabin.

Garret lost himself in work of being Ship's Captain, taking his small fleet towards Calliff Isle. The winds were almost perfect. They were making good time, and he would soon be rid of some excess captives.

"I could have made some gold off them if I wanted to. But, a Windcatcher... Oh, how fortune has smiled upon me."

"Land ho!" Garret immediately returned his attention to the business at hand. He brought Wavecutter and the captured vessel into the sheltered bay. The remaining 3 ships took up station outside the bay in case of a roving patrol from the mainland.

"Bring us along side the other ship. I'll be taking the prisoner over." He walked back to his cabin, finding her lying on her side, facing the wall. He paused to gaze at her well shaped ass, along with the curve of her waist as it progressed to her hips. He walked up, giving her ass a slap as he went to her bound feet. He pulled out his dagger, cutting the rope easily. He secured the blade, and quickly removed her boots, leaving her in bare feet.

"Time to got up girl. It's time to farewell your crew." He grabbed her arm, lifting her to her feet and propelling her towards the door of the cabin. "This will show you I am a man of my word. Not that will matter much to you anyway."

The two quickly transferred to her old vessel. Wavecutter pulled away slightly as Garret walked over to Rahn. "Bring her in as close to shore as we can. I'm not wanting to waste time getting rid of our unwanted passengers." He walked back to Taia, smiling broadly.

"As I said, it's only fair for the Captain to farewell her crew. So, you'll get to escort each and everyone of them to the longboat, again, so you'll know that none of them have been harmed or killed."

The sounds of men shuffling up onto the deck alerted Garret that her crew had arrived from the hold. There were enough men to be taken in one trip in the longboat, and there were more than enough armed men about to make sure that none of them got the wrong idea. At least, not enough to act on. Each man had his arms bound behind his back, and was bound by the neck to another of the crew. The first man on the line was being released as Garret turned back to Taia.

"But before that happens..." Garret's dagger made short work of her clothing, letting it drop to the deck in a tattered heap. "There, that'll be much better for your men. You will walk close to each one from where they stand, until they get into the boat. Disobey me, and you'll feel pain again.

"Go! Farewell those who were once your crew." He slapped her bare ass before giving her a nudge in the direction of her men. All about, Garret's men cheered, whistled and catcalled to the blonde beauty in their midst.
