Princeton Place - OOC thread

Well, since everyone else is starting a group thread, I figured I'd try also.

This is very loosely based on a Melrose Place type thread. Soap Opera-ish, dramatic. Members of the complex each have their own quirks and such. So if you want to join, post a bio and I'll give you the go ahead to play.

Princeton Place Luxury Apartments​

Welcome to Princeton Place. You've just signed a six month lease after putting down a hefty deposit. You've been assigned 1 Key Card. This key card will allow you into your apartment, the secured gate, the pool (with jacuzzi), the sauna, the tennis courts and your mailbox.

We offer delivery service for laundry and dry cleaning. If you wish to have food catered to you, it does come at an additional fee charged to your monthly rent.

Please remember that we at Princeton Place only give you the best in luxary living. If you have any questions and/or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact management.​

Princeton Place caters to the young, successful men and women out there. Most of the tenants make no less than $100,000.00 a year. Many are partners in law firms, some are self made money makers, some are just spoiled rich kids who's parents have forced them to live on their own.

Bio: Talented and ambitious from a young age Jayson made his start like many budding artists and actors by putting his videos up on youtube. With an incredible voice and uncanny ability to perform in front of a camera like it's not there. Totally a natural, some talent scouts quickly latched their long claws into him and signed him several different contracts in the mid-six figure mark... Only... In thinking they knew what was best for him all of the agents have made him rather miserable. For a period of a year and a half he suffered major bouts with depression and anxiety attacks as he strove for perfection and came up just a nomination short. All that he'd been working for had failed, or well that was what his agents let him think anyways.

A mental wreck Jayson fired all of his agents, coaches, and aides at once.

They still come around from time to time to repair the bridges he burned, but he doesn't let them very close if he can help it.

Jayson is just getting back on his feet. Taking new parts, starring in new movies, all the directors and producers still want him, but he'd lost most of his fans as he disappeared from the movie and music scene for a little while. There are a few hardcore fans who still comment on his now dead youtube, and write him love (or hate) letters every once in awhile. Although recently he has begun to get noticed more and more, this has put him on edge, as he's afraid what happened before will once again happen.

Taking this new place at Princeton Place seemed like a good way to escape the new found fame, at least for a little while, when the Realtor told him it was for young professionals he immediately thought it would be perfect. Workaholic's + no family = nobody being around most of the day. Whenever he was here and not shooting he'd have the place to himself, or so he hoped.

Bio: Rylen is a hot-shot lawyer at a firm where she's looking to make partner by the age of 30. She's good at what she does and knows it. Her skills at winning cases is nortorious and now she has the pleasure of picking and choosing her cases at work.

She moved into the new Princeton Place apartments not too long ago, right after her promotion. Rylen's personally at home is pretty much the same, hardcore. She tries to promote a hard shell but inside, she's pretty lonely. Her love life is literally null.

Awake after my first night in my new digs, I looked around at the rather sparse furnishings and thought about why I am here. Yesterday my wife and I decided to split the sheets and driving ariound I went by a new building right on the lake and saw a for rent sign so I stopped and was shown a vacant furnished unit and all the public amenities including ther activity room, the pool and hot tub/sauna complex, and decided it was what I needed after twelve years of marriage ending in chaos brought about by a swinging lifestyle that fell apart.

Now 36 years old with no personal friends other than those my ex and I shared, I needed a new life style and environment.

I looked in the mirror and washed my face and combed my blond hair and decided to put on a bathing suit and suit in the sun by the pool and see who might walk by.

Wearing a tee shirt and my baggy trunks, I wasnt as spiffy as I might have looked in a new speedo, but that would be on my next shopping agenda as I carried my book and cell phone and headed off.

Finding a lounge chair and opening ther book it wasnt long befre it rang and there was my still but soon to be ex-wife sobbing into the phone and asking me to come home so we could talk,

I told her it was no longer my home and I might talk to her later.

Bio: Born into a rich family Camille has always had everything she ever wanted handed to her on a silver platter, including her careers. Her mother had been a playboy model and though she had been offered a job from Hugh, the big man himself she didn't want to follow in her mother's footsteps. Instead, she became a fashion model.

Along with that, since she grew up being a daddy's girl, Camille always had a passion for acting. Her father got her an audition with some of the most prominent, well known actors in the business. This kind of treatment of course came with a cost, she had to move out and live on her own. "You have two jobs now, you can survive without us now." her father had told her, via text message.

Therefore, she moved into Princeton Place where her mother and father lived before they got married. She is very sassy, quick witted, has a problem with not getting what she wants. Camille loves tha paparazzi because they give her all the attention that she could ever want.

OK, so far so good.

Name: Christian Wolfe
Age: 24
Occupation: Artist
Bio: The wayward son of a society family, Christian spent his late teenage years estranged from his family and living in various squats around New York. The one consistent possesion that he had was his fathers old Rolleiflex film camera that he'd found in the attic one day as a child. He documented the life of him and his friends; the creativity, the drugs, the sex... Somehow some of these photo's got in to the hands of a major New York art collector and by the age of 19 christian had his first solo show at a Soho gallery.

Unfortunately, the fame and the money (both of which he found awkward and distasteful and so generally spurned and wasted respectively) changed his relationship with his art and with his world. His parents were ashamed of the image their son was portraying: photo's of young, naked boys and girls, wasted, often caught in the act of taking drugs, fucking and fooling around.

At 23 Christian had a breakdown and turned up at his parents summer house in the Hamptons, half-naked, covered in cuts and passed out on the door step. During a time of recouperation at the house he decided to turn his creativity towards painting. The art world was receptive to his new work and he continued it, along with the photography. His parents arranged for an apartment for him in Princeton Place where he could focus on his work, away from the temtations and excesses of New York.

Christian is tall, lean with pale skin. He has a strong, masculine face that is aged beyond his years. He often has several days stubble darkening his jaw. His hair brown hair is long and often hangs over his dark, penetrating eyes. His body is covered in tatoos. Black ink drawings of skulls, burlesque dancers, script, birds and the faces of friends and lovers.

He is naturally quiet and shy but loses all inhibitions when inebriated.

Age: 25
Occupation: Writer
Bio: Roark was born to a set of wealthy parents. Both of whom were pretty well known writers. She wasn't necessarily spoiled but she was given a lot of things that other children were not privy to in their childhood. Writing proved to be quite the moneymaker for Roark but as it turned out most of her fame and wealth came because of her name.

Her parents name was too much for her to bear.

She wanted to be famous on her own so she took the money that she had earned from her previous books and got an apartment far away from her parents and their fame. She is currently working on a new pen name and a new work. She's hoping that the money she got from her previous books will hold out until she can write her next work.

Hopefully the critics will like it as much as they would if it was under her real name.

Well, what can I say, I'm loving the interaction going on. I'm going to step aside for a few days and let you all do what you do best. I think we lost one or two so I'm going to re-open it up for one to two more people.
