I voted "other." I'd like to see a bloved forum where any thread started by him is automatically placed there. Then his threads wouldn't be constantly bumped to the top of the BDSM forum and I then have to open it so it's not the only one that's bolded as unread.

I believe he is having fun. His form of entertainment is to re-read all his posts and keep his threads running ad infinitum. He'll do what he can to keep his threads on top of the board. This is why I don't understand why anyone who thinks this guy is an idiot keeps his threads going. The best form of punishment for him is no response whatsoever.

I think in my case it's because I really want to see the best in people and I can't imagine why someone can keep saying the same thing when tons of people have said "but no, that's not what happens around here, mabye you just went one really badly run event?"
It's kind of like me not quite understanding why my kid is lieing to me about changing the cats' water, when the evidence is *right there* that it has not been changed. I'm just an optimist. Sigh.

I have my moments, yes.
I understand where the compulsion comes from. He has insulted a whole host of decent people on this board and the lack of logic is mind-numbing but he's also displayed so much "crazy" that at a certain point I think one has to take a giant step back and realize that any attempts at a conversation are pointless, at best.
Our attempts to make him see reason are every bit as laughable as his attempts to "enlighten" the poor, lurking newbs.

I don't think it's the argument that is the point of his existence. It's the attention he gets that drives him. The fact that he'll write whatever he can to get a response proves my point. Posters like him have been around since the beginning of forums and chat rooms. I recognize his MO and cringe when I see that a thread becomes the next Neverending Story.
