The beautiful woman with the beautiful voice has left this world after 92 years.
She is one of the key inspirations for the character I am writing about in my current novel-in-process...
Good heavens! She was one of those grand ladies that I was sure was going to be around forever.

Yes she was beautiful, and yes she could sing, but she also had such elegance, such charm, such warmth and hospitality. Watching interviews and candid moments of her, you got the sense of everyone around her felt they had been in the presence of greatness and she just said "oh sugar, just come on in and sit a bit."
