Gadzooks was the mild form of a more serious bit of swearing - "God's hooks"- referring to the nails on the crucifix.

French letter ... meaning condom. Yes, I know, not a single word, but ... it's the best I can do with English words right now.
Still fun thread, and mostly thanks to Og and others. Thank you!

Tio, cunnivore is great, but I prefer to be a cockivore, if you don't mind. Penivore just doesn't do it for me. LOL
Speaking of coining, do people use the term "real-time friends" as a way of distinguishing from their virtual friends? I used it earlier in an email and do not think it is original, by any means. But there it was in my brain, which just soaks up stuff without really noticing it.

Upon looking at colpos, you could make a double entendre with that.
Culp - v. to sheath in the vagina (from Greek,) also to sin (from Latin.)
n. vagina, sin, negligence. (I would suspect the noun would be less used.)

Yes, in this case, the penis is culpable as are fingers, dildos and especially remarkable tongues.

You really don't find axolotl used very much at all. It's from Nahuatl, the ancient lingua franca of Mesoamerica, and is the name of a giant salamander in the Valley of Mexico. Given that it reaches sexual maturity while retaining the juvenile characteristic of external gills, I'm surprised our colleagues in the strange stories division of the SRP haven't discovered the beast.
...and so a maybe-seldom-used words contest: how many English words do you know that derive from Nahuatl?

Like a proclivity for proclamation and sloth.

Not sure what happened to my post, but I'm sure I said: ORC
I thought it a word out of the imagination of Tolkien until I recently watched a doco about The Battle of Hastings (1066 AD). The doco pointed out that the word, Orc, was something that Anglo-Saxons called invading Normans in the day. Well, Tolkien was a language specialist, so it makes sense.

Now I think we're complete, but I'll look and think a bit more. The alphabetical order tells me you found a pretty good reference source. Now, perhaps, we should see if we can work them all into a single Mesoamerican erotic tale...
