The full moon looked beautiful, the skies clear and starry, and Anna looked up and made out the constellations with which she was familiar. There was the Big Dipper, and Orion. She loved how peaceful it was out on deck in the dark on her own. She climbed up on the railing running around the side, and sat on the edge. The soft rolling motion of the cruise ship, and the sound of the waves as they slapped against the sides was soothing to her soul. She had thought a cruise was a good way to get away from it all, but in actuality, the incessant organised activity, was slowly driving her insane.
In the moonlight, she made out several dolphins, swimming in the bow wave, and leaned forward to get a better look. In that instant, she knew she had made a mistake. She slipped, and managed to grasp the side of one of the life boats, attached to the side. Her surprised scream attracted the attention of a male passenger, who had stood in the shadows, silently watching her. He lunged for her, and in that split second, they both tumbled into the sea.
