Twin Effect (OOC)

Plot:

A pair of brothers, separated at birth, one ending up with the mother who had moved to a quiet country and the other brother, growing up rough and becoming a gangster.The brother who grew up with his mother discovers his ESP (Extra-Sensory Perception) powers and is able to forsee things before they happen and he happened to foresee himself been killed one night.

He runs away and his twin brother who arrives in the town, on an extortion mission is been mistaken for him. The other brother ends up been abducted by gangsters and live the rough life and only finds true kindness in the girlfriend of his brother.

How the brother meet and whether the revelations come true or not forms the plot of the story.

Ian Johnson (Aidan88): A normal, college student who lives in country and moves to city, York. Attends York College and is majoring in Psychology. Has ESP powers, telepathy and senses things before they occur. He foresees himself been murdered and is frightened and runs after which his fate takes a twist.

Thread Starts at : Ian Johnson going to college, first day at school and meets his new friends and love of his life.

It would be good if you guys if interested come out with a biography for your characters which you intend to play and post here. It would be good if you guys post actively and females can feel free to fill in male characters and vice versa. Hope to get this started

Biography: Born to James Johnson and Mary Tudor, before the got married, Al 'Bone' Johnson got separated from his family when he was abducted by members of a gang, whom James Johnson owed money to. Unable to pay back the debt, he unsuccessfully tries to find his son, and when he gets to the gang's headquarters, he mistakes another dead boy as his son and he shoots himself and commits suicide.

Vincent Johnson is abandoned by the gang shortly and he grows up in the streets, picking up rough habits and skills and forms a small band of thieves who do petty crimes like pick pocketing and snatch thievery. He got the attention of Dahlia Triad boss, at his ability to con and trick and get away with crime. The boss adopts him and his band and train them to be his hit men to do big crimes, such as assassinating, kidnapping key targets and robbery. He was renamed Al "Bone" Johnson, due to his skinny frame. He slowly grew to be the boss' most trusted man and one of the feared and hated figure in the underworld, especially the rival Mafia gang, who try to eliminate him at all costs as he had resulted in their status been reduced in the underworld.

Bio: As far as Ian knew, from the time he was born to the present, his whole life revolves around his doting mother, Mary Tudor and his father died in a car crash, according to his mother.

He grew up in a quiet small town and enjoys simple hobbies like fishing and cycling by the lake. He has a small group, mainly normal teens like him, who enjoy going for movies and hanging out. Ian love reading books and playing the guitar. He is shy with girls but is friendly and kind. He got into York University, where he majors in Psychology and he intends to get a degree and get a good job and lead a quiet life.

Bio: Jessica was born in a town about 40 miles out of Las Ventura to a fairly normal couple, or so it started. When she was 5 her parents divorced, her father moving to Canada and starting a new family after a year or so. Her mother took it badly, becoming bitter and blaming Jessica as much as she could. However after three years her mother remarried and Jess had a new stepfather to get used to. He was kind to her, but her mother’s temper got progressively worse over the years, acting the perfect wife when her husband was around but mistreating and hitting Jess when he wasn’t. By the time she was 14 she was old enough to start defending herself and the pretence quickly slipped, her stepfather realising how she was treated. He didn’t want to leave his wife, even knowing this, and came up with the only solution he could. Knowing Jess wasn’t old enough for any sort of proper job or independence he gave her a wad of cash and put her in touch with an acquaintance of his that ran a club named Indulgences in Las Ventura, thinking even there she’d be better looked after than at home.

When Jess moved she wanted to cut all ties to her old life, changing her name to Ruby and never referring to herself as Jess again. She was taken care of, even though it wasn’t a stereotypical teenage life. Some of the lapdancers in the club let her live with them and she did any odd jobs they could find, from cleaning the floors to cleaning their outfits to pay for her board and spending money. Thanks to the upset in her life she’d quickly grown knowledgeable about people and got on well with the dancers and the owner of the club, watching and learning from all of them. Compared to her boring and broken childhood life, where everyone had to work endless hours in office jobs they hated, she found life in the club exciting, loving the idea that a living could be made just dancing, singing and stripping. When she was 19 the owner allowed her to start work properly in the club, stripping and lap dancing depending on what the punters paid her to do, choosing the name ‘Roxy’ for herself when she performed. Ruby never seriously thought about leaving to find some shop or office work, she wouldn’t have a clue where to start and she liked the life and the money. The only thing that paid better was prostitution which she wasn’t prepared to get into. As they discovered she had a good voice she was made the main singer for the club, entertaining in the evenings and raking in even more tips.

Many of the city’s gangs came in regularly as Indulgences was one of the best strip clubs in the area and the owner kept the police bribed well enough to keep the place discreet. Ruby generally saw them as nothing more than decent tippers, especially as many were double her age, but one young man repeatedly caught her eye. Finding out more about him from one of the other girls she made her move on Al, the two of them getting closer each time he visited until they started dating and became more serious about each other.

Ruby might not be traditionally intelligent but knows how to keep her wits about her, judging people quickly to size up whether they’re a danger to her, or whether she can use them or, more rarely, whether she likes them. She’s naturally developed a tough personality and can be harsh and cynical but has a fun flirty side with the right people, or with those paying her, and can be kind too when she sees the need.

Bio: Eve was born in Sweden but moved to America with her mother when she was a young child. Growing up in York City and not knowing very much English, Eve became a loner but was very content with her life. She and her mother lived in a small apartment; Eve never knew her father.

Eve never had any real friends; once she learned English and went to school, no one wanted to hang out with her because she was ‘weird’. She liked dying her hair different colors, wearing odd styles of clothing, played with bugs and always had her imagination running.

Now, in college, she’s a psychology major. She studies a lot and it’s not hard for her to remember all the information given. Eve isn’t shy or outgoing; she’s just 100% herself 100% of the time.
