Summary: Three dragonslayers hear rumors about a large earth dragon destroying villages and eating cattle over the southern marshlands, and killing several important caravans. But it is not a dragon that is terrorizing the marshes, but a hydra, and as these three are only capable of fighting regular dragons and not one of the subspecies, they have mo chance of surviving the beast they are assuming to be a regular earth dragon, or do they?
The beast had no name, it had been born seven moons ago, it wanted to feed and it wanted to mate, it had feeded on the pink thingies and the mooing and grunting meat sacks. Its nine heads swaying softly as it crawled along the muck with its four legs. The seventh head then caught the scent of something swear and saw a collection of fruit up in the trees, the hydra stood up on its hind legs, and the head snapped the fruit and ate it happily, along with a good deal of the tree's branches and leaves to act as fiber.
Walking on its hind legs like a regular dragon, the hydra snapped up birds, fruit and monkeys from the tree tops, but then it caught the scent of something sweet, oh so sweet, that made its body turn warm. Submerging into the water of the marches like a crocodile the hydra's nine heads slithered around, spying at every twist and corner of them arsh as it looked for the source of the most delicious scent it had event caught in its nostrils.
