Henry Franks always wondered about his luck. He wasn't very noticable. He was kind of tall, but thin. He had brown hair, brown eyes, and tanned skin. He was rarely seen without a camera. So when a local film studio was looking for a camera man, he'd jumped at the chance. It was really all he could do, he reasoned. And he got hired right away, too. Unfortunately, he didn't realize that it was a porn studio. Even more surprising was the type of porn.

As he walked into the filming area for the first movie, he was confronted by actors and actresses barely dressed. That was easy to deal with. But more than half of the stars of the film were Furries. Anthropomorphs. Humanoid sentients with animal traits. He almost tripped over a cable as he staggered sideways with the reels of film he was carrying. He frowned for a moment, looking for the director, and found the older man sitting in a chair talking with the rest of the film crew.

He joined them momentarily, listening to the words of the man, and then started to load the cameras. Once that was taken care of, he was told to man one of the cameras and get ready for filming.


Hours later, he was in one of the shower rooms that was available for those who worked there. Usually, only the actors and actresses used them, but he'd waited until they'd all gone home. He was trying to wash away the stress of having to film sex most of the day. It wasn't something he was used to, and he wasn't sure he could handle it.

The next day wasn't much different. He did get to actually meet a couple of the actors and actresses, and held conversations at length with the studio's star attraction, Sasha. Sasha was a bunnygirl with long purple hair and an obsession with collars. There was an immediate attraction to the woman, but Henry knew that she was one of his coworkers, and figured she was off limits to him.

Sasha

Sasha had learned early on there were a few challenges when it came to the business of mature entertainment...she had just never liked the sound of the word 'porn' and liked even less to say 'I make porn'.

Challenge number one; Relax. When your career was to have sex for hours upon hours with a series of men and women...sometimes people you met right there on the spot, sometimes in groups...while being watched by a room full of crew, and recorded, so that countless other men and women can later watch you in the comfort of their own home, no doubt gratifying themselves as they do...well, that just isn't an easy thing to jump right into. Sasha herself had been nervous for a while in the beginning, but was thankfully past that point.

Challenge two; Maintain quality. For women this meant your make up, hair, and wardrobe (while it lasted) must look just as perfect after the rolling around, flailing, bucking, and what-have-you as it did before you started. For the men, this meant you showed up on set rock hard with your equipment at a proper ninty degree angle, perpen-dick-ular to your body, and you damn well kept it that way as you fired off one load after another that could make Old Faithful jealous.

Challenge three; Don't laugh at your lines. Sometimes this one was tough even for a seasoned veteran, and today had been just such an occasion.

The project was called "Oral Care" and centered around a female patient (Sasha) going in for a routine dental exam that takes a very interesting turn. "Blah blah, open wide for me...yada yada yada, I'll need to fill that cavity right away Miss...etcetra etcetra, rinse and spit." There were a couple references to the dentist's 'drill' thrown in as well. All the same, a paycheck was a paycheck.

After it was over, Sasha went for a hot shower, glad that it was only about three o'clock Friday afternoon and she didn't have any other projects schedualed for the weekend. She had a good scrub, humming to herself, and eventually stepped out of the shower and into a plum colored satin robe. It stopped at mid-thigh and had a deep V to it that left a fair portion of chest showing. Finally, she took out her contacts and put back on a pair of wire rim glasses. In this business, nobody wore glasses on screen unless they were the librarian or the mousey young woman with an untapped wild side (usually played by an actual mouse at this studio; Unimagination at it's very best).

Sasha made her way across the studio to grab a snack before leaving, and to give herself time to dry the rest of the way. She smiled, nodded, and exchanged quick greetings with people she knew, and endded up at the smallish catering table. One of the crew who she hadn't seen much of before today, aside from a few little meet-and-greet chats so far, was just a foot or two away. While she was pouring coffee and selecting a danish, she turned just enough to offer a smile before looking back at the food.

"You were on one of the cameras today, right? Did you make me look good out there?"

The soft voice just about made Henry jump out of his skin. It was said from so close to him that she couldn't have more than just arrived behind him, and she'd approached so quietly that he had to put a hand over his heart and will it to slow down. He turned to look at the origin of the voice, to see a familiar shock of purple hair. He smiled as he realized who was asking about his camera work, and then nodded slowly.

"I did my best, Miss Sasha. To be honest, I'm a little unsure myself. I've never worked in porn before. I barely watch it, really. I just didn't really have much reference as to what to do. I was mostly just getting shots for the website and the cover art. It's going to take a bit of work to put that together."

He grinned sheepishly, sipping at a bottle of juice. His grin turned into a frown, however, as he laid eyes on her choice in food. "I hope you have the metabolism to eat something like that. Danishes have a lot of fat in them."

Sasha had thought the man stammering as he talked to her had been kind of funny...the way he made a point of saying how little he watched porn, wasn't experienced at shooting it...and then he endded on that line. She took a very pointed glance down at her hips, then around to her backside, and up to Henry's face.

"Well, I knew that the danish had fat in it, but I didn't realize I needed to start worrying how much fat was in me. Tell me, since you got such a good view of everything, what are the trouble areas I need to thin down?"

She was about to take a bite of her danish, then set it back down. "You know, I think I just need to get out of here and back to the real world. So...good luck with the website, welcome to the team. As for what to do if you're shooting again, just aim for the 'naughty bits', that's pretty much all people want to see."

Sasha went back to the dressing room to change into a pair of denim shorts, a white tanktop, and black flats. Okay, so she had been a little harsh, and she wasn't sure what had caused it. Just a poor mood from another fairly weak project probably. Well, whatever...she had time off now which she planned to make the most of, and she'd just appologize to the man when she saw him again, or just let the incident pass like it never happened at all.

Henry blinked, then sighed, frowning, as the bunnygirl walked away from him almost angrily. He groaned, sinking down into a chair, and put a hand to his head. "Well, I guess some things will never change. Still can't figure out the right thing to say."

He closed his eyes, taking a few deep breaths. Then he stood up, and walked towards the exit, carrying his backpack and the bottle of juice. He sipped at the bottle as he headed for the parking lot and his car. At least his car was attractive to women, and never lied to him about what it wanted. He sank into the driver's seat, and buckled himself in after he put his backpack in the seat next to him. He started the engine on the smooth little import, and took off from the parking lot.

The next day, he walked into the studio with his backpack and set it down in the break room. He looked around for a moment, then made himself some tea, before walking towards the small office they'd given him to work in, dragging his backpack behind him. He sank down into the ratty chair he had to sit in, and pulled his laptop out, setting it up. Soon, he was creating the layout for the DVD cover, arranging images for it. He didn't hear the door open, as he was listening to music while he worked.

Sasha came back into the studio the next day, and drug her feet heading for Henry's office. The powers-that-be had suggested very strongly that she meet with their new site designer to supply input from an actress' perspective. Which would be fine if not for the day before when she had lashed out.

Today she was wearing a simple emerald green dress which favored comfort over figure flaunting, though she felt she looked good enough in it. She found the office, music drifting out of it, and faced it without moving for a full minute. Finally she gave in and knocked. Another minute went by with no result, so she openned the door and walked in.

She found Henry lost in his music and his work, sitting in a truly pathetic chair. She shut the door behind herself, and raised a hand in greeting. "Management sent me over to work with you on the behind the scenes stuff. Not that I expect to be much help, but..." She shrugged, and looked around for another seat. There wasn't one, naturally, or why would Henry be using the ratty one. Sasha settled for leaning on the back of the single chair, looking down at the laptop screen. After some back and forth with herself, she had opted to ignore her behavior before, and see if things could just move forward.

For the second time, Sasha's appearance startled Henry. He just about fell backwards out of his chair as she pressed up behind him to study his work over his shoulder. He blushed, looking away, and shook his head. "This would probably be easier if I knew what I was doing. Designing a DVD cover is easy enough. Designing a DVD cover for a porno...that's something else entirely. You can only take graphic design as far as your experience, you know?" He grinned sheepishly up at her, and then noticed what she was wearing.

"Wow. That's quite the dress. It fits you flawlessly." He coughed, then stood up out of the chair, offering it to her.

Sasha waved him back down into the seat, happy to remain standing. "Thank you for the offer...and for the compliment...but you know more about that design stuff than I do, easily. I know how to do my part in the film making process, but this..." She indicated the screen and the work Henry had done so far. "This is beyond me."

She stepped back a little so he wouldn't feel crowded. Though, in the small room, there wasn't much personal space to go around. "I probably should have asked yesterday, rather than...well, yea...but if you have so little experience with adult entertainment, why did you end up here?"

Henry grinned sheepishly at her question, and cleared his throat. He was a bit embarrassed, but he knew he'd have to answer the question eventually. "I kind of wasn't told it was an adult studio until I got here, actually. I was a bit surprised to walk into the studio to do my job and find...well...you on your knees with the 'doctor'."

He laughed weakly, then shrugged. "Though to be honest, if it weren't for how badly I needed the money, I'd have probably walked right back out. I don't mean to offend you, it's just...it was a shock."

"You'd need to do worse than that to offend me most days. I'm not sure myself what got me riled for a minute there. Ninty-nine percent of the time, I don't bite." Sasha considered adding 'Unless the script says to' but thought better of it.

She tapped at his screen carefully. "I'm glad you needed the money though, this cover looks like it's shaping up well to me. I would just say to get Elizabeth, Krystal, and me credited on the front in good size letters." She looked towards his face. "I don't want to sound stuck-up here, but I can honestly say from my fanmail account that my name moves product, and so do those other girls. The higher ups tell me they have statistics to back that up, but...ugh, too many numbers."

Again she gave Henry his space and let him do what he wanted with the suggestion. "...I'm glad you're not a fan, actually."

Henry grinned at that, and nodded, showing her samples of text until she picked one she liked. Then he put the three names in different colors, checking a sheet of paper for the title. At her last statement, he paused for a moment, looking at her. Then he smiled. "I could imagine myself becoming one. But not of your work, more like of you."

Partly it was a teasing statement, though he had to admit, she was very attractive. He finished up his work, saved the file, and sent a copy to the studio head for approval. A few minutes later, it was on its way to production, which left him with little to do except work on the website, which he pulled up and began working on with her there.

"I won't even try to explain most of this stuff. It's pretty much all just random tags anyways, and even I have trouble remembering it all." His grin turned sheepish, and then he looked up at her. "So how does a gorgeous woman like you end up in a business like this? Doesn't it get monotonous?"

"I could imagine myself becoming one. But not of your work, more like of you."

That made her smile, but then Sasha shook her head, her loosely worn purple hair shifting behind her. "Thanks for the compliment, really. But fans are probably the worse people to work on a project. I had a director once who was really into me...well, he wanted to get really into me...so the whole thing endded up with him telling me what he wanted to see me doing, and pretty well ignoring everyone else. And sure, it sold, but I didn't like the experience. So if you're gonna be my new fan...you'll have to film someone else, and maybe look for me at closing time." Henry seemed decent enough to her...akward and a little shy in an adorable way...so unlike most of the men at the studio, she thought she'd be alright with hanging around Henry off the cock...uh, clock.

"So how does a gorgeous woman like you end up in a business like this? Doesn't it get monotonous?"

Sasha gave a groan, then a sigh. "I got into the business by accident. This guy I used to date thought it might be hot to tape us one time, and I endded up giving in as kind of a Christmas present." She quickly put up a hand to stop him from talking. "And yes, the whole Mrs. Claus outfit and all, and a suggestive moment eatting a candy cane, and he kept talking about his 'package'. When it was done...I hated it. I was embarassed and I told him to get rid of it. He told me he did, but after we split up a few months later, I started getting weird looks at my job, from strangers, everyone. Finally a friend clued me in, he had seen the tape online. My ex was one of you computer guys, so he had blurred his face and altered the voice, but it was clearly me."

Again she sighed...she knew the story was starting to run long, and it was never fun the very few times she had told it. "Anyway, somebody from this studio found it while he was doing some 'online casting research' he said, and they tracked me down to offer me a spot in something more tasteful. Even offered to help me take action on the guy, which never panned out since they couldn't prove he did it."

With one last shrug, Sasha leaned back against the wall to wrap it up. "And yes, it's very monotonous. I'm so jaded by now, I think I could be playing solitaire while I'm bent over a table for a scene and hardly notice. I rarely even try to date anymore. Kind of like when I worked at a movie theatre in high school, and had to quit because the smell of popcorn was making me nauseous."

Henry had to grin at the way she described the whole thing. He had been about to interrupt her with a comment when she held up her hand, so he waited. When she finished, he frowned, thinking. Then he adjusted his glasses, turned to his computer, and held his hands over the keyboard. "Do you know the URL? If I can find it, I can unblur it. It's a pretty common thing to do. All you're doing is a pixelation filter over a certain spot. Because the filter has to be either big enough to account for movement or be moved every frame or so, it's easy to remove."

Then he grinned at her comment about popcorn. "Could be worse. Could be gobstoppers or something, right? Of course, I can't really picture you working the refreshment stand or the ticket booth."

Sasha shook her head slowly. "It's been...well, nevermind how many years it's been, I'm not telling...but it's been a while, so it's not really worth it to me. Especially since so many people have seen me since then doing worse. But thanks the same."

That made her smile for some reason. "Concession stand, that was me for three and a half years. Guess even then I knew I was born for the 'servicing business,' huh?"

Henry smiled at her joke, and then stood up. He hugged her gently, giving her a pat on the back, then sat down again before he hardened against her. That would have been a bit awkward, he thought, as he looked up at her. "So what do you do for fun then, if you do adult videos for a job?"

He regarded her, wondering if maybe she just needed a different partner. Someone who could actually perform with or without the camera because it was her, he thought with a cheeky grin.

The hug had been such a sudden surprise, Sasha didn't even have time to get past the shock and react before it was over. Henry was back down into his seat and talking again now, but she probably would have returned the hug; Carefully though, cautiously, because he was a man who knew about her line of work, and that tended to cause problems when it came to identifying THE LINE. Nobody had ever crossed THE LINE too far, thank the lord, but she was still careful.

"So what do you do for fun then, if you do adult videos for a job?"

"I read a lot...Stephen King was my obsession for a while, and I'm still plodding through The Dark Tower. But lately I'm into the supernatural, so I'm reading the Sookie Stackhouse mysteries; The ones they turned into 'True Blood' on HBO. Which of course I have to watch, cause...well...Anna Paquin. Accents give me the food shivers. She smiled nervously at that admission. Admissions, actually, since she had implied her interest in women. "And I still like to go watch movies...just, the kind where the cast has clothes on most of the time. Especially anything from Marvel, because I'm a comic nerd."

She leaned back on Henry's desk, resting her round rump comfortably upon it. Sasha put one hand to his shoulder for a few seconds as she spoke, as a sort of return for the hug, and to give the message that yes, okay, just a little touching was alright, if you can behave yourself boy. "How about yourself? When you're not designing cover art, working on websites, and correcting strange women on their diet?"

Henry grinned at mention of Stephen King's The Dark Tower series. It was one of his personal favorites. She mentioned True Blood, and the book series that spawned it, and his grin widened. Then she mentioned Marvel movies. His grin just about split his face. At her touch on his shoulder, he sobered up, and nodded, turning to face her before responding.

"Well, at least the books were better than the series, right? Guess the right actors really do make or break tv. As for being a Marvel nerd...well, just remember that most of the movies are noncanon."

When she asked him what he did, he tilted his head in thought. "Well, let's see. Video games, anime, music. Movies, mostly sci fi. Some tv. Most of my time was kept busy with class until I graduated and needed a job. Now I just do what I find time for."

"I had nothing against the series myself, though the book is almost always better than the show or movie based off of it. In fact, I like the addition of Jessica to the series, who I haven't seen in any of the books so far, especially seeing her evolution in season two into a more complex, multi-faceted vampire." Sasha made herself stop rambling, something she was too often guilty of doing.

"Well, let's see. Video games, anime, music. Movies, mostly sci fi. Some tv. Most of my time was kept busy with class until I graduated and needed a job. Now I just do what I find time for."

She smiled, and chose not to go into her own anime collection or love of video games, because then she'd probably not shut up for the next hour or two. "Well, after you finish with the website, you might 'find time for' something that I could tag along on? Unless I'm not up in your league, of course."

Henry raised an eyebrow, then grinned. "But....okay, I got nothing else to argue against it. Now, Twilight, on the other hand. Sparkleshield my arse." His grin grew teasing, then he stopped to consider her statement. He tilted his head, regarding her. "Are you asking me to take you somewhere to play video games?"

Sasha nodded slowly to the remark about Twilight. "That was just too funny to me; They can't go in the sun because they turn shiny, but they can live in Oregan because it's usually so cloudy, it isn't bright enough to be a problem. And as for the adolecent facination with Robert Pattinson...I don't see it. Maybe I'm just too old." She tilted her head in a teasing mimicry of his own. "Video games weren't the first thing to come to my mind, but it could work. Or some food, or just walking, or anything. I just like the idea of spending time with somebody that I don't have to explain to about my job...or who's overly interested because they already know. You seem to fall in the middle of the two."

Henry smiled at that, and then shook his head. "I don't think you're too old, I think they're too young to realize he's not attractive, not intelligent, and certainly not worth swooning over. Kind of like how everyone was obsessed with that kid who played Harry Potter. Now he's grown up and wishing he'd never taken on the role."

When the sexy bunny pornstar put forth her innuendo-laden statement about video games not being the first thing on her mind, he raised an eyebrow, then grinned sheepishly. He considered the things they could do, and then smiled again. "Well, if you don't mind home cooking, I suppose I could always make you some lasagna. Of course, that wouldn't get either of us in trouble, would it?"
