In 2 hours, I have to be in court for the first of several days. My ex is trying to squash my motion to change, defending her custodial claims. My son hates her and lives with me because he hates her. She'll lose this round, setting it up for the 2 day trial, in which she'll answer to her charges and explain her abandonment of her son and why she's not paying any support for him. I win that and I get my life back, free and clear.

i thought i'd share this recipe i ran across this morning. it's for raspberry-basil italian cream soda. there's no alcohol in it so it's kid friendly, and it sounds like the perfect refreshment on nice warm days.

that's not corny - we have a botanical garden downtown that i love to visit at night when the rest of the city is silent.
and the other day, for some reason, i was wondering if neighborhoods have block parties anymore. i've never been to one - but they seem so fun.
