I don't think you quite get it.

As a submissive I seek to avoid punishment, never to purposly bring it on myself. I always seek to be used and for the last question my answer is "both".

No Nightfallen. As a matter of fact, in my personal opinion... that is quite wrong indeed. A seriously excellent Dominant always knows what his fucktoys, sluts desires, wants and needs are and usually keeps them in mind and under consideration.

Oooo, this question brought out one of the 'saying bad words makes me a dom' crowd didn't it?

For what it's worth, I understand the question, but I think every day of sex with 'their' dom is like Christmas Day for a sub. They know they're going to get something intended to make them happy, and they know their dom has an idea of what they would like to be on their list, but they don't know what's going to be inside the wrapper.

No, what makes me a dom is the fact that I realize, from experience, that a truly submissive person doesn't want to set the rules.

They have boundaries, and it is my job as a good Dom to discover those boundaries without overtly giving them the impression that they have any control at all. But they don't get a choice like the OP is discussing, at least mine don't.

And for the record, the nine replies I've had from subs who have 'enjoyed' my response outweighs the one judgemental 'dom' and the one psuedo-sub-on-sundays. Being a sub or a dom isn't about some giggly little exploration of kink. Ideally it's at the very core nature of the parties involved. Meaning a 'real' sub will be turned off and made uncomfortable by being offered the choice in the first place.

I have to agree. I don't want a choice, I make plenty of decisions during the day. When its time for playing I don't even want to decide what to wear or what position I'm to be pleasuring or pleasured in. I want to relinquish all control of my body to someone else.....Wish I could find someone like that for real.

hmmmm... part of me agrees with you one the core nature of being submissive, but it is quite overshadowed by the fact i find your response to be that of a complete and utter self absorbed ass. i have found, through observation and participation, that there are many variations within the personal experiences one has through domination and submission. every person has their own reaction and longings buried within them that D/s pulls out. i am a whole hearted believer in the "giggly little exploration of kink." sometimes it can lead to the awakening of energies inside you that may have gone on undiscovered. so fuck. play on.

i personally don't want a choice...i like not knowing what would come next and so on...now of course there's personal thoughts such as the 2nd would turn me on more than the first.
i agree with not being comfortable with having to make the choice i make enough choices in my life that i want to step back from the choice making, though that doesn't mean my hard boundaries can be pushed....

I was wondering when someone would actually read the question...shame that it had to the OP who reminded everyone that this wasn't an essay on "what rights does a sub have in choosing what happens to them."

As a Dom, personally, I always like to know what my subs want/prefer...but that doesn't necessarily mean they will get it. The first is understanding, the second is control. The latter is improved by the former.

And for all the feb subs who would want to know what I want...I would rather use you than punish you.
