What if a coworker has already had to call in sick for the flu this year and now they have the Swine flu but they don't realize it yet?
More than likely they'll be fired if they call in sick again, so they'll opt to come to work to protect their livelihoods. (Don't worry, folks, that link is certified 100% Pro-Corporation Propaganda. No "ABC News" or other non right-wing taint whatsoever! Guaranteed!)
You may want to know where your employer stands on this. Just so you will know ahead of time if you will face disciplinary action for taking time off to fight the bird flu - or, worse yet, if a sick employee is being pressured by workplace rules into staying on the job, putting your life at risk.
I'm having a big fat long assed meeting tomorrow on this at work. You know, the same place I was looking forward to LEAVING in July...
