I was having a discussion this morning on the quickness of a person's orgasm and the relation to how long it's been since their last one. I have a theory that the longer it's been between orgasms the less time it takes to reach one.

For instance, some men say that if it's been a while since they've been with a partner that they will masturbate before actual sex so that they will last longer. The same can be said of women. I find that the longer I go in between orgasms the faster one comes on when I actually get to have sex, or even if I go long periods of time between masturbating (normally three days would be a long time in my book!)

So I wanted to conduct a poll and see what other people thought. Here are the options:

1. It takes longer to reach orgasm if I have sex/masturbate regularly.

2. I have a hairpin trigger and orgasm quickly if it's been a while since I've had sex/masturbated.

Feel free to add an explanation of your answer, or comment even if you don't vote on the poll. I really am scientifically curious.

Both options imply the other. They are complimentary opposites. Essentially, they mean the same thing. similar to "heads I win, Tales you lose."

I would assume that both options are true for anyone for whom a single option is true.

If it's been a while, I tend to hang on to the feeling and not allow myself to cum quickly. When I talk a while, I'm talking weeks (sometimes giving orgasm control to a sadist can bite you in the ass).

But then, I also have a trigger. I've been programed to cum on comand, this too has bit me in the ass a few times.

I remember one playdate, it had been over a month since I'd been touched by another, and I'm not allowed to play by myself. While this playmate was working me, I got to the edge, and I was really enjoying that feeling of riding the edge. He instructed me to tell him when I was ready to cum, sensing that I was riding this wave I imagine, and I agreed. A few minutes more and he pulls my trigger word and I'm a pile of orgasmic goo.

If I know I'm going to get to cum again in a short amount of time, I'm a quick cum. If I know it's going to be a while, then I tend to ride the edge and fully enjoy every moment of the act as well as a killer orgasm. But then throw in my trigger and I can have a 3 from a "dry start" or a 10 with a little build up so I'm potentially a quick cum all of the time.

With condoms I can last a long time. Might not even cum. My ex could make me cum with her mouth even if it was the 6th of the day. So I kind of enjoyed fucking her until she came and then cumming in her mouth. An orgasm is an orgasm to me no matter what hole I cum in.

I think you're just wildly wrong. I think you are thinking of young men, and of young men only.

For a lot of women, their first orgasm in a session takes a bit of work, but each successive one comes quicker, so that if she can handle it and her partner puts the work in eventually it just becomes a drumroll and she can't tell where one ends and the next starts.

Older men (that's me, I know what I'm talking about here) come much more slowly anyway and are unlikely to orgasm more than once or twice in a session. But I really don't think that it makes much difference how long it is since I last had sex or masturbated.

well, i orgasm more quickly by playing with myself if i havent in awhile. but when it comes to sex and penetration i orgasm just as quickly if i have or havent been playing with myself.
