New sub seeking a little help

My fantasy for a while has been to try being a submissive to my husband, so we decided to try it, and so far its been great. Today though, he set me a task that I need a little advice on. He wants me to come up with a name for him. He is my master, but he'd like to be called something distinguished that a master would be called. He suggested Sir, but that seems a bit short to me, so I came here looking for other suggestions that we both might like. Any and all suggestions would be wonderful.

Sire perhaps? Masters are normally addressed as Master or Sir.

i started with Sir, but once i became a slave switched to Master and have used that since. my advice, use whats comfortable for you. choose something that will make you respect him, that you feel is representative of your love, your relationship. dont pick something that you feel is stuffy or uptight or just plain silly. you wont like saying it and it will show.
 
My PYL didn't like Master or Sir or anything formal so he told me to call him Daddy even though we are not in a Daddy/little girl relationship. It took me a little while to get used to but it does work for us. Though now I tend to call him more by his given name.

What has become more important to us is not what I call him but what he calls me. He renamed me. He said my parents gave me my given name but now he owns me and has given me a new name. It is a normal name--not slut, bitch, pet etc. Of course, in the outside world I use my original name. But between us, we use my new name.

As I said before I am new at this. I think its sad that you have to come here and put others down. Nobody asked you to post in my thread. Nobody asked you to be a dick.

To everyone else, thank you very much for the advice. We have decided to go with Master for now. It has a nice ring to it, and I really like it. :)
 
I call my PYL "Sir" as it simply came naturally, it still does. There are times when I do call Him Master now, (during "play") and that came around rather naturally also. It is His decision that Master is only during play. So far, I haven't had to call Him by his real name when talking to Him, on the phone, as I haven't been around people where it would matter if I call Him Sir or His name... but with some people, I do use His real name and not "Sir" to talk about us. They are people who usually don't understand the dynamics and our relationship, so out of respect to them, I use His real name.

Use the name that feels right for both of you. If for now, Master is the one then go with it. You may find another name works better at a later date, as you find your way together in the "Lifestyle" and you'll know it when you hear it.

*shrugs* I thought it was funny. Some of the girls here do call their PYL Mister also. Satin calls her's Mister, and itw calls her's Mister Man.
 
well, for now, im not allowed to say His first name, tho i think it's sexy as hell...

however, it's what feels right for you and Him. your acknowledgement of His ownership, everytime you say the name. and you must love the name, and wish to use it. it WILL show in your voice and actions.

at any rate, i serve in the navy, so i can DEFINITELY appreciate what your hubby is doing. i am glad to see that you are so willing to please him. good on you! :D
 
He's Master when I'm tied up or feeling particularly submissive. His first name most of the time. And Asshole (or some variation) the rest of the time.

Same here.

Though I will usually use two or three per beau. Currently, Lover, is my favourite.

I have called one of my men "Crazy" as in, "Hey Crazy, what's up?", but, in his case, it was definitely a term of endearment.
 
This might be begging the question, but since he's in the army, why not call him by his rank? Unless he's a private second class or something.
 
well, he's a Sergeant, but I don't really want him associating me with the dumbasses he works with.

BTW, what exactly does PYL/pyl stand for? I've been seeing it all over the place and haven't found an answer to that.
