Tova rolled her eyes. "Yeh yeh yeh, I know!" she said into the phone.
"If you don't dress apropriately, how will males know that you respect your body?" a female voice replied from the other end.
"I am dressing apropriately Imma!" Tova replied.
"And by appropriately I mean snius" the woman called Imma responded from the other end.
"I know Imma! I know!" Tova said desperately "You trusted me enough to come out of state to a college that isn't populated by many Jews remember? Trust me to keep the traditions you taught me!"
"I know. It's just hard to let my baby girl live her life without me"
"I love you mom"
"I love you too"
"Bye"
"Bye"
And with that Tova hung up her phone. She couldn't beleive her mother was so gullible. Of course she wasn't going to keep Shabbos. Of course she wasn't going to dress modestly. She was away from home, finally. She wanted to try new things, meet new people, experiment with life.

"Hey" a soft feminine voice said. Tova turned to face a pretty women who looked like she was either a junior or senior. "I overheard your conversation. Mom doesn't trust you?" the student continued. "Of course not. But I guess she's right huh?" Tova responded with a smile.

Jessica was studying a book from one of her theater classes when her attention was caught by another student talking on the phone a few feet away. The conversation was just interesting enough to keep her attention. She looked at the younger woman, pinning her for a freshman. She gave a little smile as she closed her book as Tova hung up her phone.

"Hey. I overheard your conversation. Your mother doesn't trust you?"

She gave a nod at the response to Tova's comment. She paused for a moment to brush a couple of pink dyed hairs from her face. She wore a pink silk blouse that matched her hair, along with a black knee-length skirt, white socks and black tennis shoes.

"This your first time away from home? I'm Jessica, a second year senior."

Tova nodded "Yeh" she said. "Nice to meet you. I'm Tova, first year freshman" she laughed lightly. "At least, it's my first time away from home, without any relatives, out of state, for more than a week..." She trailed off "Heck, let's just say it's my first time away from home" she finally said, with a smile. She had family that lived in Florida, and Georgia and had gone to visit them each, never for more than a week at a time.

She gave a smile.

"Well, even the chick needs to spread her wings on her own, despite what the mother desires. I'm sure you'll find life here at college is different from your regular life. Though I should warn to try and not fall in with the wrong crowd."

Jessica had to surpress a giggle at her last comment. After all, she herself wasn't exactly the right crowd. She took a moment to tuck her theater book into her handbag.

"Well, would you care to go on a tour of the campus? I'll try and be more informative that the freshman orientation class you'll have to take."

She grinned a litte as she held a hand out to Tova.

Tova smiled. Heh, the wrong crowd, not too likely. "A tour of campus?" Tova repeated, suprised. She didn't know why she was suprised, she just... was. "Sure" she said, shrugging her shoulders "Why not" she took Jessica's hand and stood up. "Where first?" she asked, a smile still on her face. Something felt odd though, but she couldn't place it. She figured she was just being paranoid and shrugged the feeling off.

"Where first? Well, This seems to be a good place."

She grinned for a moment as she waved her hand around the courtyard they were in, surrounded by a gr oup of four story buildings.

"We're in one of the two main areas for the dormatories. They are all co-ed, male and female alternating floors. I'm on the fourth floor of the Madduex building."

She pointed to the one off to the right of them. She dropped her hand back by her side as she began to lead Tova down the street from the little group of building into a rather large parking lot.

"Where do they have you at?"

"Wow" Tova said "What a coincidence" she told her "I'm on the fourth floor of the Madduex building" she informed her happily "We're on the same floor of the same building, fun!" She looked around where they were walking. She had yet to meet her roomate, but they had already had everything unpacked and set up when she'd arrived a few days ago. She must have come in late at night when Tova was sleeping, and left early in the morning.

"Ah cool. Have you had a chance to meet your roommate yet? Mine hasn't moved in yet."

She pointed towards a group of buildings just beyond the parking lot as they moved up on a sidewalk.

"There's one of the science buuilding, the math building, and computer lab. On the other side of those is the football stadium. Do you have your list of classes yet?"

Tova smiled. Jessica was being more helpful than the map she had printed out online. "Uh, yeh" Tova said, having to think about it momentarily. They had given her soo many papers, she'd only glimpsed at them all. "But I don't have it with me" she told her. "And nah, she's apparently either really popular or really elusive" Tova joked, although, it was probably true. There was also the chance that she hadn't slept in their room yet, for some reason or another.

((What the hell? You PM if you want to join, not interupt the story. No, it's a one on one))

"Well, if you need any help with getting any books or anything like that, feel free to ask. What's your major?"

She released Tova's hand to reach into her small duffal bag at her other side, pulling out a couple of papers. She giggled for a moment at Tova's comment about her roommate.

"I'm sure you'll meet her soon enough. The school is a very good one, but there's still much to be desired for the town we're in. There's maybe two clubs and a small movie theater for entertainment."

She put the papers back into her bag.

"Hngry for some lunch yet?"

"Uh" Tova said, pausing "I'm undecided" she admitted. She nodded politely as Jessica told her about the town. Then she mentioned lunch. Tova hesitated before nodding "Sure" she said. She was still unsure whether she'd be willing to eat unkosher food, although she had, very rarely, done so in the past.

She led Tova up to the second floor of the largest building campus.

"This is where the school cafetria is located. I'm sure you also show the school bookstore, where you can pick up your books and stuff on the first floor. The post office and mailboxes are on the first floor as well. The second floor is mainly the cafeteria and a couple of other rooms often reserved for special activities. The third floor has one of two auditoriums on campus, plus a few other offices. You'll find Fin aid there as well."

Jessica gave her meal ticket to the cashier, who punched a spot on the meal ticket. She waited for Tova to get done with the cashier before moving towards the food. Lunch was set out as lasagna, macaroni with cheese, applesause, french fires, hamburgers, and fried apples. There was also a sandwich bar setup with several different lunchmeats, peanut butter, jelly, and bread. A salad bar was also setup with everything for making a salad, as well a drink station for soft drinks, juice, and milk.

Jessica grabbed a plate with two hamburgers and french fries, with a glass of chocolate milk. If Tova had noticed anything of Jessica's movement, the upperclassman seemed to be moving with a little bit of a sway to her body as she walked and sat down at one of the tables.

"Hmmm" Tova though out loud "What to get? What to get?" She grabbed a plate of mac and cheese, some french fries, and two fried apples and then moved on to chosing a drink. She grabbed a carton of chocolate milk and followed Jessica to the table. She couldn't keep her eyes from glancing down and watching her ass as she walked. They reached a table and sat down across from each other.

Jessica took a few moments to lave a napkin in her lap, using the excuse to adjust herself beneath the tabel. She gave a smile as she watched Tova eat for a few moments before speaking.

"So what made you decide to come here for college? Anything special?"

She munched away at her food as she waitedon Tova.

"It's out of state" Tova said, shrugging "And I got a pretty good scholarship" she added almost as an afterthought. She took a bite of her first fried apple. "Mmm" she said, moving her head up and down "That's really good" she admitted.

She giggled softly at the younger girl's answer.

"That sounds more of an excuse than what seems to be the real reason."

She smirked softly for a moment.

"From the phone call earlier, I would say it was to get away from an overbearing mother."

She took a long drink from her milk for a momet before wiping her mouth.

"Got any questions for me yet?"

"Well, I did say it was out of state" Tova responded with a smile, her hair fell in her face and she pushed it back behind her ear before putting a fry in her mouth. She chewed and swallowed before responding "Um, not not really" she admitted with a shrug.

She gave a little nod as she finished her meal up. She took a moment to glanceat her watch and frowned.

"Ah damn. Sorry to bail on you like this sweetie, but I've a theater group meeting to attend. I'll be happy to catch you later this evening. If you need to know which room is mine, just ask one of the dorm monitors."

She gave a little wink to Tova before putting her empty tray on the tray conveyor, making her way out of the lunchroom.

"That's Okay" Tova said as Jessica stood up. It wasn't that much of a surprise that something like this would happen to her. She sighed as she watched her leave. She continued to eat, wondering how Jessica had managed to finish her food so quickly. Although, Tova did get more than Jessica had. She had a large apatite but a quick metabolism so it evened out.

Jessica sighed as she stepped out of the library. The meetings always too it out of her, no matter how many times she had attended them. She glanced at her watch, frowning at how late it had gotten. Ah well, it was would good to relax a bit before classes started tomorrow.

A few minutes later she fished her key out as she climbed the last set of stairs for the fourth floor.

"Room 410. Same room I've had since I've started. I wonder if the new roommate is here yet."

She unlocked the door and opened it slowly with a yawn.

Tova looked up from her laptop as the door opened. "One sec Josh, I think my roomate is finally making an appearance" she said to the male that she had been video chatting with.

It made sense, normally Tova would be asleep but Josh was vacationing in Australia so their time zones were messed up.

"Jessica?" she asked, suprised. "What are you doing here?"

Jessica smirked for a moment, not missing a beat.

"Well, I'm coming home to my own room silly."

She held up her room key for a moment.

"See? So I guess that makes us roommates."

She paused for a moment to glance over at Tova's computer as she dropped her stuff on her bed.

"Since you are a little busy, I'll go ahead and grab a quick shower."

She smiled for a moment before disappearing quickly with all her shower stuff, still with her clothes on.
