Yes, I write on myself, take a picture and send it to him. He has never asked me to do it, but I find it is helpful when I am feeling a little down, or missing him. It also helps when I am feeling less submissive or a bit defiant. Going to work with "Owned by..." written in black across my belly just helps me focus.

If you don't wash the area, a day or two. It might smear if you smudge it while the ink's still a little wet, but I have no idea how it'd hold up if you used it on your pussy and kept it there...in fact, that's one of those things you really can't know unless you do it yourself.

While Sharpies are labeled non-toxic this means with normal use as in writing on other objects. A fine tip Sharpie with just a few words over a normal area of skin should be fine, however, there are solvents in the pens that it is probably best not to use over a large area, or in an area where the skin absorption rate is significantly higher such as nipples, inner area of the pussy etc.
I see people write on their hands, or above the pussy often, no big deal, probably not good to make a habit of it.

Cattypuss had a great idea. I have used 24 hr lip pencils also to draw on myself. They stay around at least for.. well..24 hours

sharpies will stay on skin for several days. you can use an abrasive cleaner such as GOJO, if you need it removed sooner. just be careful not to use an abrasive cleaner on sensitive skin. part of the fun of sharpies is how long they actually stay on... reminding you of why you marked yourself in the first place.

I was going to suggest henna, but it can be kind of a pain in the ass to work with.
Sharpies are good, for very temporary stuff I really like lipstick.
And like many of you, I've done the cutting which I thought was much more rare than it's turning out to be.

I do a occasionally mark myself but mostly with temporary piercings. I personally adore giving myself corset piercings and have recently been thinking of having my mouth sewn shut this Halloween. I guess that's really as far as I go normally, never really did the whole sharpie bit.
