Lurking in the city of Gevellia is a tall ogre who keeps frightening people as he moves up from the sewers bellow the city at night. During these times you can often find stolen food and parts of eaten animals, everything from rats to stolen cows, in the alleys. The mayor has decided to send out a reward for those who can save the town from being deserted as the appearance of the monster has been frightening off every trader, tourist and travellers from it, making it hard to earn money in the tourism business.
A group of adventurers were chosen, they were sent down into the sewers and it has been five days since then and there's been no word of it, but by the magical crystal the Seer of the town is using they are still alive as he can sense their presence. And soon enoguh they found the beast, after five days of travelign through the deep sewers they finally reached its lair, which laid in the ancient ruins of the old city that had submerged into the earth hudnreds of years ago.
"Okay we have to be careful, from what the tracks here tell me this is a large creature, around 10 feet tall, reptilian and a predator. And it appears to be able to consume metal." The elven ranger Hugh stated as he held up a dung dropping made compeltely out of mixed metal. The group of four went towards the lair and drew their weapons nad prepared their spells, it would be a dangerous battle ahead of them.
And they were right unfortunately, for them, the creature had already known of their appearance and was stalking them on the ceiling above, not makign a sound and the scent of sewage hiding it from being smelled. The group had no idea what had happened when usddenly a huge four armed lizard beast came down from the ceiling, crushed Hugh beneath its heavy weight, its long ridged tail sprung spikes out of the ridges and cleaved the wizard in two. Then the creature slammed its left hand into the chest of the fighter, sending the man flying into the air and into the river of sewage pouring down back towards the city, the knight had to pry off his armor to not sink, and wtched helplessly as the beast turned towards the remaining member of the group, and the only female one.
