First, let me apologize for the 2-day delay in issuing this challenge. It won't happen again. Some of you may have noticed the pattern of themes being relevant to the time frame of the challenge, and so have guessed what's coming. :p

On June 1st, International Children's Day is celebrated on many countries around the world. For this Survivor Bonus Round Challenge, your mission is to write a poem for your (real or not) 5-year-old child. No formal constraints, but here is a little push: the pantoum is derived from a Malay form which, I'm told by a Malay friend, is very used in nursery rhymes and lullabies.

You don't need to be participating in Survivor to take this challenge. If you are participating in Survivor, for your poem to be eligible for points under the Special Bonus Rounds heading, it needs to be submitted to Literotica.com and be posted between 05/20/2009 and 06/17/2009.

Feel free to use this thread to workshop this challenge, to banter about this challenge, to post links to your submissions to this challenge, and to give your opinion on poems submitted to this challenge.

Now here's a bonus round challenge I can handle, since I actually have a 5 year old son. This could be interesting.

Oh lummy what do I know about 5 year olds except it's nice to give them back?!
Hmm. Five year olds... Grade One-ish, gross humour ie: snot, poop, pee kinda thing, sticky fingers, sugar loving bundles of intense activity closely followed by warm, sugar scented bundles of cuddliness... I hope I can. And oh man, a pantoum as well?

The Pantoum I don't actually mind as I was just starting one for the Black Russian. Your pointers Champ are the sort of thing I had in mind. Anyway going to download the form to make sure and go to work with my legs up and an actual pen and paper in my hands!
