The best bed for bondage

I think an iron bed would be a good choice. I like brass but the iron is cheaper and you don't have to worry about scratches so much. Plus many attachment points.
 
If I may...

I have a particularly creative partner who has turned a boring old wooden bed into a bondage device extraordinaire. Of course, this isn't something you can go buy, but it really wasn't that crazy difficult to make (look at me speaking for him when all I did was hand him tools).

Anyway, picture if you will...

Stocks built into bottom of bed, removable and adjustable in height, foot openings in the middle together and also to the side spread. Extra tall posts added to each corner of the bed to hold cuffs for extra-wide spreading.

Mid way up the bed, on either side, a thick board with a thingie (technical term) on it that will hold the same stocks as the bottom of the bed, so the bottom can be on his/her back with feet locked up in the air. Also around the bed at this point are ratcheting tie down thiniges.

And then at the top, piece de resistance....no lie...a rack. A hand cranking thing with cuffs attached that pulls the arms ever toward the top of the bed until the victim is s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d. This is very adjustable and has a quick release as well.

This is the stuff dreams are made of :D
 
I relly prefer my bed, which is a king sized four poster with canopy. Allows me to attach males standing to the foot of the bed with wrists attached to the tops of the footer posts, which allows VERY interesting activities which would not be possible if the subject were prone.
 
I'm bed hunting, as well, and have my heart set on an antique cast iron frame. It'll have to be a full due to space constraints, and it isn't as if I (or anyone else) will have the pleasure of being tied to it anytime soon [ever], but I want one. And not the tubular steel/brass kind, either - the actual thin rod cast iron, decorative weld, cast iron, climb up into bed, bed.

I don't know the history of beds, but I imagine the vast majority of antiques are full. An antique cast iron frame, yes, I would like that very much too. That would make a very good play bed. I've thought about converting a bedroom to a playroom. And the play bed wouldn't have to be slept in.

It allows for places where willing parties can be tied, bound, lashed, latched or connected to. Just imagine a nice old-fashioned "four poster." The wood, old with age, is still strong and sturdy. The kind of bed that welcomes someone to lie comfortably in a sea of pillows and blankets. But now imagine a special someone lying naked, squirming because each arm and leg has a wonderful little rope tying it to a different post. :devil:*contented sigh* One could say that a bed like that is almost a necessity. ;)

Also... if this applies to you, can't have a whipping post without the post....:devil:

I was going to suggest this as well. viv had a brass bed when we were dating. It rattled worse than a toolbox in the bed of your truck. Sex on the floor was the order of the day more often than not.

A whole lot of modern metal beds are hollow rod too. I'd probably want to go and physically see what I was buying prior to ordering it. Using her old bed as an example, I could've pulled it apart without even trying. Sure, you won't be tying me to your bed, but the point is that it won't stand too much strain and stress in multiple directions before something gives.

Yeah, pretty much. I had metal bunk beds when we were dating, and if we managed to get it on in my room (REALLY rare) we had to do it on the floor, the bed was too loud.

We have, I don't what it's called, but it's like a grown up version of a captains bed. It used to be for a waterbed, but we have a regular mattress in it. I don't know if I think it's PERFECT, but K drilled some holes in the wood that goes under the mattress so he can hook rope through it.

I think a four poster bed would be the best kind, I guess. I really like our bed, it's so sturdy it'd take an act of god to make that think bang the wall. (Which is important, our bed is against the wall we share with the girls. :eek: )
 
I think the best bed for bondage would be any one involving WriterDom...and his succulent ass.
 
I just really don't like metal for a bed, it seems cold and icky to me personally. Some are pretty to look at though.

I like dark wood beds.

Currently I have a wood four poster huge cannon ball bed.

I used to be in love with Rice Carved beds.

Now I'm digging on Sleigh beds. Ooh! Check out this leather one!

I don't have kids so noise might be a good thing. Scare the cats off the bed. Now I'm wanting a dungeon room. Some stone wallpaper. I went to school with a guy who has been building furniture for his entire life and has a shop. He could build me anything I wanted and we could even go into business together. Like a St. Andrews cross that folds up and fits under your bed. In oak or pine. A Lit member would get a huge discount for a nice testimonial.

We sleep on a futon with a slatted platform underneath. Lots and lots of places to tie rope.
