Cleaning his small fangs of blood, Lucius threw a small rat to the ground; or rather, the floor. Pushing up his lightly blood-stained glasses, he cleaned everything up as he noticed it was almost the time his twin sister woke up.

"I got to hurry up, don't I..?" he muttered as he walked past her room, but stopped, thinking he heard something because of his finely tuned ears.

His fangs shrunk as he approached the door, listening in.

Name:Alexandra"Alex" Harx
Age: 19
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 110 lbs.
Hair: Long, raven black hair that falls to mid-waist.
Eyes: A bright seductive green, different than her brothers but sometimes dimming to a paler green, sometimes even a faint brown on her off days.

It was about 6:15a.m. Alex usually woke up around 6:30, she rolled over onto her back on her bed letting out a soft moan through her sleep, lately she had been having sexual fantasies from the attraction she had picked up toward her other half she sometimes called her brother. She licked her lips making them wet as she was starting to wake up, but still caught in her dream.

Lucius

Shaking his head, Lucius tore his ears from the door as he walked downstairs, carefully not to wake up his mother, who was also a Vampire. Throwing the dead rat outside, he shuffled his hair to give the appearance that he was asleep for a while now.

Lucius headed towards the stairs, turning off the light in the living room, he turned on the stair light and left it on. Each step he took creaked each time as he groaned in annoyance.

Alex groaned hearing the sound of creaking steps as she wet her lips and sat up in bed coughing a bit from dryness to her throat. She looked over at her alarm clock as it clicked to 6:30 and the sound of a rock band beginning to play came on the radio very loudly as she hit the button turning it off for the day as she got out of bed with a yawn taking her black lace robe and wrapping it around her she went over to her door and opened it looking down the hall seeing her brother walking up the steps she gave a faint smile and headed back into her room.

Lucius heard the door open before it actually opened, but didn't look up as his sister gave him a faint smile. His hand brushed against the back of his head, parting the black strands of hair as he walked past Alex.

"Hey Alex." he said with a tone of boredom detected in his voice as he entered his own room. Glancing out the window with his half-shut brown eyes, he felt and saw the sun reach the room. Unlike other Vampires, his familys breed could survive in the daylight, and allowed them to hide their fangs.

Alex walked back into her room seeing as he didn't look up at her, but as he went into his own room he greeted her parting his black hair and shutting his door, she let out a sigh and grabbed her outfit for the day and going into the bathroom that was adjoined between the two twin's rooms.

She started the shower's water and disrobed herself stepping inside and sliding the glass door shut as she sighed against the hot water beating down on her skin running her fingers through her long black hair.

Another perk; he wasn't weak to water, either. But he didn't need to take a shower as taking blood cleanses his body and mind. Opening his closet, he messily put on a solid white dress shirt.

Rolling up the sleeves, he grabbed his black vest and slipped it on. His tie was... well, messily tied as he practically hopped into his black pants. It was quite obvious that he didn't care for his appearance, for to him it only matter how much blood he could take.

"It's a wonder Alex didn't become a Vampire..." Lucius muttered, turning around and grabbing his secret pack of cigarettes that was to be hidden from everyone except Alex, since she already knew.

Alex finished up washing her hair, and cleansing her body as she shook her head a bit stepping out and drying herself off as she wrapped a towel around her slim figure going over to the mirror and picking up the blow-dryer. After her hair was dry, it returned to it's normal straight shiny black mane on her head, just the way she liked it.

She went back into her room and started to throw on her clothes looking around her bright neon-green pained room. Sometimes she felt like a mis-fit in this family, with their secrecy between her brother and mother. Something just never felt right between them. Alex shrugged the thought off and slid on her black lace lingerie followed by a tight black tee-shirt and a tight fitting pair of light blue jeans. She laced up her converse and went into her brothers room looking at the clock on the wall 6:52.

"Hey, smoking in the house? Or are you going to do so outside?"Alex took this time to look over her brothers careless appearance, his more pale skin, pale deep brown eyes, amazing body. Yeah she had pale skin but his was super pale, and her eyes were a brightened color. She had so many similarities with her brother, yet she felt so different from him. She saw his tie all messy so she walked all the way into his room and up in front of him as she wrapped her hands around his tie smoothing it out and fixing it for him.

Looking at the adjoined room before Alex opened it, Lucius opened the pack and slid out a cigarette.

"Just a quick one." he said, not sounding even slightly offended. Lighting it up, he touched it to his lips and inhaled, the smoke traveling deep inside his lungs, not damaging them in the least. It didn't calm him either; he only smoke because he liked the smell.

Sighing deeply as Alex fixed his tie, he slightly scowled.
"You know, there is a reason why I dress like this." he said sarcastically, taking another inhale of his cig. He then extended his cigarette to her, "Come on." he teased, knowing that she didn't like him smoking.

Lucius never really noticed Alex's body before, and didn't now. He wasn't one for women, or his sister for that matter. He wasn't a virgin, though. He lost his five years ago, unbeknownst to Alex, who thought different.

Alex shook her head in disgust seeing him not offended at all as he brought the ciggerate up to his lips and inhaled it deeply seding the hazardous tar into his lungs. She didn't want to see him ruin his life, but she couldn't do anything about that.

Alex looked up to see a scowl on his face while she fixed his tie and grinned, sometimes she just loved to upset him, see the looks on his face while she did so. She looked up at him with an arched eyebrow"There's a reason why you dress like this? I just thought it was for the hell of it, and attention."She saw his teasing as he extended the ciggerate to her. She was the one now with a scowl on her face as she waved her hand at him and his poision as she called it"No thanks"

Alex had always thought that even though he was her brother and more to the point her identical twin, her other half of her life, she had always thought that Lucius was attractive in her eyes, but she didn't think he had the slightest clue, or that he would even think about the idea of the same toward her. She stepped back a foot and looked at him as she didn't know quite what to do, she fell back onto his bed with a plop as she lay there on her back"What are you going to do today?"

Lucius shrugged, "All right. Your loss." he said, obviously knowing that it was technically his loss. "Of course there's a reason." he said, turning around as he took another inhale, "But if you didn't know - wait, how are we even twins? You should know about this stuff." he said calmly.

Stepping his foot behind his other leg, he turned to her as he responded.
"I dunno... might go and hang out with my friends." he replied. Walking to her legs so that they were barely touching, he bent over slightly to look at her face-to-face.

"Why? Your boyfriend sick again..?" he asked, half serious but also joking just to get on her nerves.

Alex laughed at the "'how are we even twins you should know about this stuff'" thing as she lay on his bed. She played with a strand of her hair"I don't know how we are, we're too different, yet too alike."

"I dunno... might go and hang out with my friends."
Alex had been staring up at the ceiling and flinched out of shock when she felt her brother's legs touch against hers and his face come into her view making them face-to-face looking at eachother.

"Why? Your boyfriend sick again..?"
Alex could hear the slight seriousness and then the joking in there too, he also loved to tick her off. She crossed her arms with a sigh"What's it to ya?"she asked as she looked up at him, a grin breaking out onto his face from the joy of her annoyance; she also smiled a moment later not being able to stay mad at him for long as she reached up and smoothed his hair out that was curling behind another strand.

The male popped his eyebrows in agreement, "Too true." he muttered, feeling iffy on the subject of 'twins'. It had always bothered him that she wasn't a Vampire with him. That subject was probably the only thing that depressed him.

"Nothing. Just don't want you following me to secretly flirt with Bobby." Lucius answered. She knew who he was talking about; the one that was always more hidden away than Lucius himself, he couldn't tell if he was human or not. A calm but playful grin broke out on his face.

He knew what she was doing when her arm twitched in preparation for the action. Her hand curled a soft strand of his hair slowly, which made him chuckle softly.
"Having fun with my hair?" he asked.

"Nothing. Just don't want you following me to secretly flirt with Bobby."Alex looked up at him when he said this looking into his eyes seeing playfullness but yet calm in his eyes as his grin broke out, she smiled back"Me?"She asked in an innocent voice"You think that your sister would follow you to flirt with Bobby behind your back?"She laughed a little.

When her hand started to curl a strand of his hair, in a slow action her attention was diverted to her hand in action and not yet looking at his face as she too knew he was watching her. She heard a soft chuckle and looked back at his face and eyes as she grinned at his question "Having fun with my hair?" Alex nodded with playfullness in her eyes as her hand remained intertwined in his hair unconsciously combing it out with her fingers"Yeah, I love your hair."

If Lucius was human, he would have probably reacted to this closeness. But since he wasn't, he knew they have been much closer than this before. "Yes, I do. Have no doubt about it." he replied, laughing lightly in time with her own harmoniously.

With a simple yet colorful smirk, her brother softly grasped her thin wrist. "I'm glad you do, but I don't." he said, and gently pulled her up to a stand.
"Let's go." his voice flatly. Turning around, he grabbed his leather watch on his nightstand and swiftly wrapped it around his left wrist.

Alex saw a colored smirk approach his face as he gently grabbed her wrist entangled in his soft hair she gasped from the sudden movement throwing her off guard as he pulled her up from the bed putting her in a standing position"Let's go." his flat voice told her. She saw him grab his leather watch as he wrapped it on his wrist she smoothed out her hair following behind him she watched him as her heartbeat was still a little offbeat, faster than her usual calm beating from the closeness he had just obtained with her. Sure they had been closer than that, but it was different somehow. She looked up at him.

"Where exactly are we going? Remember I'm not supposed to follow you around, I might try to flirt with Bobby"

Taking another quick inhale of his cigarette, the male put it out on the ashtray. Shortly running his hand through his raven black by the side, he chuckled as he opened the door with a small creak. "Ah, I trust you not to do anything stupid." he replied with ease; it was true, he did trust her. In fact, he trusted her with his life... but not his secret.

Walking down the carpeted hall, Lucius chuckled. "Besides, you won't be getting anything from Bobby anyway." he added, his pale white hand grasping the wooden rail gently as he walked downstairs.

Alex made a face of disgust seeing him take another inhale of his cigarette, she had a faint smile as to when he put it out though, finally. She watched him run his hand through the side of his hair as he creaked open the door and headed down the hall with Alex following she listened to him"You trust me not to do anything stupid?"She thought that over for a moment then asked"Do you trust me with everything in you life? Has there ever been anything you've hidden?"

She knew it was a hard question, but she felt the need to ask. "Besides, you won't be getting anything from Bobby anyway." Alex gasped in shock as she saw his pale hand grip the railing as he headed down the stairs, she placed a hand on her hip and walked after him slowly as when they got to the bottom, she made a face looked at him directly talking in a voice just above a whisper.

"Who says I wanted anything from Bobby in the first place?"She grinned and spun back around and started walking toward the front door.

During the climb to the bottom of the stairs, Lucius glanced back up at her behind his shoulder. "Of course I have." he said simply, letting go of the rail and allowing Alexandra to pass him.

Seeing the expression on her face, he couldn't help but laugh a little as she spun around and started towards the door.
"It's always written on your face." he answered, then looked at his mother and waved a fraction of the usual way others do it. Walking out into the crisp morning air, he checked his watch: 7:03.

"We should probably get going to the park." he informed her calmly.

Alex walked past him at the bottom of the stairs with a huff as she passed him.

She sneered a bit at his laugh sticking her tounge out at his amusement.

"It's always written on my face? Well maybe you shouldn't look at my face as often, because it's a dead give away."She blew a kiss at her mother and walked out the door into the bright slightly windy day as she smiled a little at the weather.

She heard his words but didn't look back at him, kept on walking forward"Okay, then let's get to the park."

Her brother laughed at her comment, "Well, I would, but as your older brother I have to. It's one of my ways to protect you." he replied calmly as they walked out.

As they walked into the park Lucius slipped out another cigarette and lit it. He then took a longer drag of it.
"Mm..." he moaned in one of his pleasures as he exhaled the smoke. Laying his right hand by his side, the cigarette set softly between his index and middle fingers.

Alex sighed at when he laughed at her comment as he tried to explain to her his reasoning. She rolled her eyes at his thought"My older brother? You're my twin Lucius. And protect me by looking at my face for reactions and such? I'm a big girl, no need of protection these days anyways."

Alex saw him light up another cigarette as they got inside of the park, she sighed and walked away from him saying"Not sticking around for this one."As she walked toward the swings hearing a moan escape his lips from the cigarette's inhalement. She walked over to the set of swings and sat down on one of them gently pushing herself back and forth not wanting to get to much action going just yet as he saw him exhale his smoke and lay his hand against his side containing the cigarette.

Lucius looked at her and chuckled, "Well, I was the first one that breathed in air. So I am older by like, a minute. Check the birth certificate." he said, raising his hand momentarily to take another drag.

"Ah... you're no fun." he said sarcastically as she walked away.
Seeing that she sat on the swings, he decided to lean against a tree and closed his eyes. He was safe; Lucius had another two hours before he had to feed again, so he could relaxed. His black hair fell in front of his eyes messily.

Alex stuck her tounge out at him"Fine older brother Lucius, so superior you are by one minure!"She laughed as she turned around and went to the swings.

Alex closed her eyes as she began to swing back and forth, leaning back in her seat and looking up at the sky as she pushed herself forward each time loving the feeling of the air swooshing past her face as she noticed her brother lean against a tree with his eyes closed, he need to relax, or have some fun she thought.

She watched him as she was swinging, maybe he'd give in like he always does and come join her.

Lucius chuckled softly, Superior, among other things. he thought. Without thinking, he finished his cigarette quickly, so he flicked it perfectly into the trashcan. With a heavy sigh, he moved his hair out of his eyes and glanced at Alex having fun.

His left leg twitched as he resisted the urge to come over. He failed.
With yet another sigh, he walked over to the swings and sat down to her. "Don't. Say. A word." he said flatly as he barely began swung.
