The young man sighed, and shook his head. He had just turned 21, and moved to Japan. Getting a job was easy. Far easier than he'd expected, in fact. He'd been recruited by a magazine right off the plane as a writer, which, needless to say, was a big surprise. He found out later that the friends he had in Japan had told the magazine he was coming and would need a job. The pay was good, exceptional, in fact. The work was easy, too. All he had to do was research a specific place, learn everything he could about it, and then write an article reviewing it. So why was it that two weeks after moving there, he was still living out of the break room? He sighed, looking through the newspaper. He'd done this every day for two weeks, trying to find a place to live. He'd ruled out living on his own. It was just far too expensive. He was about to give up, when he saw an ad seeking a roommate.

Roommate Wanted: must be able to COOK. Humans only please. Must not be easily frightened. Belief in the occult is a plus, but not absolutely necessary.

It went on and on for several paragraphs like that. It was an odd ad, he thought. The being able to cook part was straightforward enough. Obviously the person looking for a roommate was unable to for some reason. The rest seemed silly. Still, it was the only one that seemed reasonable, and it was amusing enough to make him want to find out more about it. There was no telephone number to call, just an address. So he set out, his backpack on his shoulders. It took him a couple of hours to find the place. As efficient as Japan's rail system was, you still had to walk to and from your destination.

He stood there for several moments, studying the house. And house it clearly was. It had the western design made popular in the years following the rebuilding after the second World War, but there were definitely Japanese elements to it as well. It seemed a cozy house, almost as if it were meant for a family. He shrugged, and walked up to the door. He knocked three times, then stood off to the side, leaning against the wall and waiting. He heard footsteps racing towards the door, and just when he was thinking it might have been a bad idea, he heard a loud crash and a yelp of pain, from a distinctly feminine voice.

Raising an eyebrow, he was about to put a hand on the doorknob when it opened to reveal a slender, very busty redhead clutching her foot and hopping slightly. He just stared for a few moments, trying to figure out what to say. The first thing that came to mind was also the first thing out of his mouth.

"Damn, you're flexible."

OOC: open to one gal to play Orihime (the girl from bleach, though this won't be a bleach rp...yes, that's right, this is another one of my Anime Characters Ripped From Their Anime rps)

Orihime managed a small smile at the young man on her doorstep, still holding her sore foot in one hand and bouncing; not merely hopping, her chest bounced as well. After a moment she put her foot back down and smiled more, tipping a bow to the man.

"Please forgive me, I was upstairs when you first knocked, and I only just heard it, and then I was worried you might be leaving, or it might be a package I ordered and I was going to miss it, so I had to get downstairs quickly, and then I caught my foot on something, I think it was a side table in the hall, cause the lamp almost fell off of it, so I fell down and I hurt my foot, but I'm glad you're still here and didn't leave, but you don't look like a delivery man so I guess you don't have my package, but that's okay too, and..."

Finally coming up for air, she looked up at the young man's face with a confused frown.

"Umm...who are you again?"

He raised an eyebrow, studying her as she regarded him. Then he pulled out the newspaper sheet and handed it to her. "You advertised needing a roommate who could cook? I'm Jackie, by the way." She was cute, he noticed. A little flaky, of course, but he could tell she was a good girl.

He turned to study the building more, and waited for her response. He was trying to keep from laughing at what she said about what happened. Then he smiled. "This looks like a nice place. And it seems to resonate comfort."

She took the ad paper he held out and looked it over, as if she herself wasn't familiar with it. A few seconds consideration later however, she began to beam in happiness.

"OH! Oh yes, I was still looking for someone to come, to help with the cooking and maybe the general up-keep. It is a nice, comfortable place, but it's kinda big to manage on my own; I inherited it not too long ago, and can't really handle it all by myself. And, umm..."

She dropped her eyes, shifting from foot to foot. "And I really can't cook."

She turned and walked inside, expecting he would follow, moving the conversation into a comfortable living room with large leather chairs flanking a stone-work fireplace with a coffee table seperating them. She gave a smile, indicating one chair as she passed them.

"My name is Orihime by the way, or just Ori. I was just making some tea, so I'll be right back."

She went towards the kitchen where she'd left water to boil before the young man, Jackie apparently, had arrived while she was up in her room. The pot seemed to be steaming away nicely, and she loaded down a tray with the hot water, two cups, a plate of lemon wedges, a bowl of sugar, and a small pitcher of milk. These she brught back to the living room to place on the coffee table, settling into a chair with a nervous look. In her time at the house, she had managed to both burn and uncook prepackaged macaroni at the same time...made biscuits that were hard as doorstops...and even somehow wrecked a toaster making a bagle.

But boiling water for tea bags...surely she could get that much right. Right?

Jackie raised an eyebrow, and followed the young woman in. She was a bit flaky from the sounds, as he'd expected. She fully admitted to being unable to cook, and the description she gave of the place interested him. He took a seat where she specified, and studied her again.

"Orihime, eh? A beautiful name. Mine's kind of lame in comparison. So you live alone? By choice, or by necessity?" He smiled, regarding her again. She was rather impressive in the size of her assets, and very pretty. He wondered briefly why she didn't simply have guys willing to do anything she asked.

"Might I inquire as to how much it will cost?"

"I'm alone by choice, sort of. I wanted to be out on my own, not relying on family to support me, but I still wanted a room mate or two. And then I end up in my grandparents old place anyway, so I guess I'm still depnding on my family."

She fixed herself a cup of the tea, leaning back in her chair to drink it. The act of getting into a comfortable position inadvertently caused her skirt to ride higher on her legs and her chest to stick out just a bit more, neither of which she noticed. Her figure had never really occured to her as anything impressive, regardless of the attention it drew...again, without her ever being aware that it was doing so.

"I would only need a few hundred dollars each month, to cover food and utilities and what not. Say maybe...seven fifty?"

Jackie raised an eyebrow, listening to her words. She inherited the place. Made sense, he thought. As he watched, she settled into a position that made her figure even more attention-drawing. Jackie nodded mentally. Yep...not getting up out of the chair for a while, he thought. He briefly wondered what she'd be like in bed, before she got down to business.

He considered the offer. "Seven hundred and fifty? Anything specific I'd need to get?" He forced his eyes to move up to her face. Not an easy task when she had legs that all but demanded attention, and a rack that begged for hands on it.

"Seven hundred and fifty? Anything specific I'd need to get?"

Orihime sipped her tea and sat thinking, considering the question. As she thought it over, she started to breath in deeper, her chest expanding and straining her blouse. Finally, she set her cup aside and shook her head.

"No, I can't think of anything specific. I can handle most of the bills, with my weekend job and a few evening shifts during the week, so I really only need a little help there. Oh...and I would need for you to keep fairly quiet in the afternoons; I'm finishing my senior year, and have to focus hard on my studies." She paused there for a few seconds before something else occured to her.

"And I would stay to keep out of the room beside mine, on the top floor, but that's always locked, so that's not a problem. Just try not to worry too much about noises or maybe smells coming out of there."

She smiled and nodded to Jackie as if this was all perfectly normal. "I think that's everything, unless something comes to me later. I think you can move in whenever you like, and I'll have a key made up for you by tomorrow."

Jackie smiled at that, and nodded. He pulled out his wallet, and started counting money out. He tilted his head in thought, and then looked at her. "Do you have any food allergies or anything like that? Anything I'd need to take into consideration when I cook?"

He studied her face, wondering briefly what she meant by funny noises or smells. Then he just mentally shrugged, and continued counting money. When he had the required amount and a little extra out, he handed it to her, and nodded.

Then he stretched, and stood up. He pulled out his cell phone and started to call about his things, which still sat in the trailer he had them stored in, attached to his truck.

"Do you have any food allergies or anything like that? Anything I'd need to take into consideration when I cook?"

Orihime shook her head again. "No, no real allergies. I get a kind of a reaction from spicy foods, but it's not a bad thing." She blushed a little and lowered her eyes, distracting herself by finishing her tea.

When she finished, she stood up and smiled to Jackie, talking quiet so she wouldn't disrupt his call. "I think I'll change and go out now to get you that key. I should've thought about that earlier, I guess, to have it ready...I didn't think I'd get a reply so quick."

She wandered off, from the kitchen and back, on her way upstairs, muttering to herself. "So stupid, I never plan. I need to get extra towels, set up the second phone line, clean the spare linens, remember to start wearing a bra when I'm at home, and of course this key thing. So, so stupid."

Jackie smiled, then raised an eyebrow at her statement about a reaction from spicy foods. Then he finished up his calls. Soon, the rest of his stuff was on the way, and he stretched. He walked into the kitchen, taking the remainder of the dishes out and setting them in the sink. He started the sink up, and then quickly washed the cups and teapot, before taking an inventory of Orihime's kitchen.

He started making a list of things they'd need, writing it down in a notebook. When he'd finished the list, going through every section of the kitchen, he walked up the steps slowly until he reached the door she said was hers. He knocked twice, and then waited for her to come out. When she finally did, he handed her the list with a smile.

"I made a list of some groceries we could use. I can pay for them, if you want."

She openned her door and took the list Jackie held out to her and reviewed it, humming to herself. She returned his smile when she finished. "I don't expect you to have to pay for the groceries until you've had at least a day or two to get yourself settled. But if you insisted, I don't suppose I'd argue with you too much. I'll be back in about...maybe two hours at the most, and you can reimburse me for the food. Feel free to make yourself at home until then. Except for the room next door."

Passing through the living room to leave, she noticed that Jackie had taken it upon himself to clean the cups from tea, in addition to making out the shopping list. He could prove to be useful around the house it seemed...and he wasn't too bad to look at either, she had to admit. She stepped outside and started off to handle her errands, thinking over the new situation she was in having a room mate.

OOC: now THAT's hot

IC: Jackie nodded, and smiled. He followed her back downstairs, and then opened the door in time to get his stuff started coming in with the help of a couple of coworkers. By the time she got back, his stuff was in the room she'd let him have, which was surprisingly large, and the basement.

When he came back up, he sold off the trailer, and then put his truck in her garage. He took a seat in the living room just as he heard her vehicle pull up. Then he went out to greet her. Of course, his mind had already drifted way off course. The television hadn't helped, either. Lots of busty redheads, blondes, and brunettes on most of the channels.

She came back into the house, balancing bags of groceries, and started towards the kitchen to put them away.

"There are a few more out in the car, if you don't mind Jackie. I hope you did okay on your own as far as getting settled in. Oh, and I got you your key for the house; it's in my back pocket, just ahead and grab it."

She stood in the door to the kitchen with her back to him, looking back over her shoulder with an innocent, even naive, smile on her face and her butt pushed out slightly.

"My hands are full or I'd get it for you myself."

OOC: I searched for other Orihime pictures the other day, and did find a few hot ones, so she can have a few outfit changes along the way.

Jackie raised an eyebrow, looking at her for a moment. He tilted his head, studying her and the way she stuck her rather yummy arse out. He cleared his throat a few times, then looked away and did his best to keep himself from looking at her. "That's okay, I can wait a bit. I wouldn't want to be rude."

Or cop a feel, he thought. Then he blushed, and realized she was still staring at him. He cleared his throat again. Then he shrugged. "Um...right, I'll go get the rest of the groceries." He practically ran for the door, and headed out for the car. A few minutes later, he came back in with the rest of the bags in his arms.

He set them down on the kitchen table, and smiled weakly. Then he tilted his head. "So, Italian, Spanish, or Tex Mex?" He was asking what she felt like for supper.

She had already put down her own bags and was putting things away when he got back, his copy of the house key sitting on the kitchen table for him. She thought about his question, thinking anything would probably be better than the food she made herself.

"I think Spanish would be nice, just as long as you watch the heat you put into it. I'm sorry I can't be much help in making it though...I don't like feeling like all of the work is on you. But I can at least keep you company while you're working."

She sat down at the table facing him, ready to give him directions if he needed help finding anything, or just to talk if it wouldn't be distracting.

Jackie smiled, and nodded. He put the key on his keychain, and then looked at her. "That's fine. Company helps the time pass." He rummaged through the kitchen, and came up with the ingredients he wanted. He danced around the kitchen a bit as he gathered the cookware needed, and started off with a Spanish Rice mixture that he made by hand. Then he put some chicken on a countertop grill, and started making a zesty cheese sauce.

"So, what's a gorgeous girl like you doing living alone, anyways? I'd imagine you could get any guy or girl you wanted, between that stunning body and that cute voice and face. Yet you live alone, in such a big place." He smiled, looking at her as he stirred some chives and other herbs and spices into the cheese.

"So, what's a gorgeous girl like you doing living alone, anyways? I'd imagine you could get any guy or girl you wanted, between that stunning body and that cute voice and face. Yet you live alone, in such a big place."

She smiled back, going a light shade of pink at his words.

"I don't think I'm aything special, but thank you for saying so anyway. I've had a few room mates since I started living here, but none of them lasted very long. That's why I made a point of saying 'Not easily frightened' in the ad, cause I didn't want to lose another one. So, here's hoping I don't scare you off...and that there aren't any mishaps."

She leaned to one side, looking around him to watch what he was doing, sniffing at the air.

"That's starting to smell pretty good. Do you have some cooking training, or are you self taught?"

Jackie grinned sheepishly at the words in regards to his cooking ability. "I spent most of the time cooking for my family growing up. Mom couldn't, so Grandma taught me. Since then, I've learned a lot. I'm better at Italian, truth be told."

He smiled, and nodded, turning the chicken and brushing both sides with a marinade that he'd whipped up. Then he closed the lid on the grill again, and considered what else. "Let's see. Do you want a salad?"

"A salad would be nice, yes. And I love Italian food, so I think that's going to work out well. Maybe tomorrow I'll have to see if you really are as good as you say you are."

She gave him a wide grin to be sure he knew she was teasing, and leaned forward on her hands, deciding to push the teasing a bit further.

"So, you really thing I have a cute face, do you? And what else was it you said...stunning body I think it was?"

Jackie blushed at that, and nodded slowly. "Yes. You're absolutely gorgeous. Especially given the nature of the majority of the women over here. Sure, you find some with remarkable figures and appearance, but most of them look like little girls. You definitely do NOT look like a little girl."

He smiled sheepishly, and then took a bit of a taste of the sauce, before holding the wooden spoon out for her to taste from. "What do you think?" He studied her face for her reaction, again noting the clear, bright eyes.

Orihime leaned in and sucked the sauce from the spoon, licking her lips slowly afterwards, unintentionally looking as though she were...well...really enjoying the taste. She took a moment of consideration, then nodded.

"Very good. A bit of a kick to it, but not too much."

She tipped her head to the side with that teasing smile once again crossing her face. She still didn't think she looked so amazing, but clearly Jackie did, and she was having fun with his obvious discomfort.

"If I don't look like a little girl, and you're making such a point of how I deffinately do NOT...are you trying to say I look old?"

Jackie raised an eyebrow at that, then blushed again. The way she enjoyed the taste of the sauce made him imagine something else feeding her. He cleared his throat, and looked away. Then he tilted his head at what she asked.

He turned to look at her, and his eyes were wide. "Wha? No. I meant that you definitely look like a woman, instead of a girl. The kind of woman that any man with an ounce of sense would love to take to bed every night."

At that, he realized he'd said way too much of his thoughts, and slapped his hand over his mouth.

She covered her own mouth to keep in on giggle, and decided she had tormented the poor young man long enough. Once she had herself properly composed, she simply nodded.

"Well thank you then. And I guess I'll let you off easy rather than ask if you're the sort of man who has that sort of sense; I can see you're already uneasy enough."

Despite her words however, or perhaps in another unintended moment of sexuality, she drew in a deep, chest expanding sniff of the food as it cooked.

Jackie blushed again, realizing she was now all but pressed up against him. He cleared his throat, and nodded slowly, as he started to put the grilled chicken in a salad as he grabbed greens from the refrigerator. He topped it with the cheese sauce, and then smiled, starting to put everything on plates, and put them on the table. Then he looked at her.

"Milk?"
