it is also likely that they bathe less often, have silly hairdos and sex? - well they have a theory on why no one will sleep with them.

Oh , really?

What about JFK?

Or perhaps the USS Liberty incident?

What about the Federal Reserve?

It's neither federal, nor a reserve. Look up and tell me who the board of directors is for it.

:p

Since when did conspiracy theorists become a pejorative? Are not all police agency investigators and newspaper investigative reporters "conspriracy theorists" if they are investigating incidents that involve more than one person?

Occam's Razor - the starting point for any true thinking person when seeking to explain any phenomenon.

I can think of two appeals of conspiracy theories. First, one can believe anything one wants to believe. The absence of evidence of a conspiracy can be seen as evidence of how vast and powerful the conspiracy it.

Second, one can demonize a group of people one dislikes. John Kennedy was killed by the CIA, 9/11 was caused by Israeli Mossad, and so on.

Nevertheless, I have difficulty believing in a conspiracy lasting for years, or decades, and involving large numbers of people. Someone will leak information to the press, have a death bead confession, get drunk and brag to his girl friend, or so on.

So all military and national security secrets are just a couple beers away from revelation?

What girl friend?

She's in on it, I bet!
