So its been awhile, over a year since Ive been on lit in any threading capacity and I heard a few flattering things wich seem to be true. I really like the couple threads people have started of ones I had going back in the day. Im sure everyone knows how real life takes over and leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Ive had two or three Fantasy style SRPs going in the past, and one of them died before it ever got started... the other too soon for anyones taste, but it is the nature of lit... people have real lives after all.

I recently learned that there was much more interests for my last one than I had realized. Its been a year since Ive had any contact with any of those players but Its inspired me to do one single solitary srpg, like i was trying to do all that time ago.

Its really all I have time for.

This casting call is for anyone who wants to join... as usual Im only gonna be running it for like 3 females... 3 males if enough people show interests. I think that would be best. Fantasy style. Old school, table top kind of goodness.. with enough sex hopefully for it to be interesting.

Now i think i should give you fair warning.. not to intimidate, anyone who thinks theyd like this is welcome to play/write/whatever but i get into this shit. I do maps (yeah im a fucken geek, and what of it?), I make histories, and I write alot :D. I expect anyone who wants in to only and at least... do that latter :).

Im just testing the waters now..not posting anything, so if anyone wants to. Let me know here. Ill be changing my options so i get an email if there is a reply to this. As far as setting, as i mentioned it will be a fantasy style... set in either a war torn kingdom or some setting that would allow players to play demonic races and not just elves, dwarves and the usual. No tech past gunpowder works, and all different kinds of magick is fine. Id like everyone to have a weakness as well as a strength so say you are an extremely powerfull fighter, perhaps you have a phobia that is a hinderance, or something to that effect.

This is dedicated to everyone i used to role play those games with, and I vanished on, sorry. And to those I used to rp with that are MIA/RIP... you are missed.

I already have one long, detailed posting thread, but it does not have posts very often, so I'd be up for another. The concept seems good. I'll wait to come up with a character until after some others show interest. I'll keep this thread subscribed and wait around to see if there is enough interest in it.

Sounds good, hopefully we should have a enough players by tomm night.

Just to get a head start, I suggest just kicking around what kind of character (race, class, sex, strength, weakness, history) you wanna play. I understand your reservation about us not having enough players yet :), i only say this so we can start soon after everyone has joined.

If you need to know anything let me know.

Ok, I'll start thinking of my character. By tomorrow night I should have name, race, class, minimum. Gender is male. I will hopefully get some inspiration for strength, weakness and history. I am wondering how it might work. What would happen once it started. If possible do you have a link to an old one I could look at so I could understand a bit better?

I would like to express my interest as well. I tend to write longer posts and do a lot of internal character writing, so I'm pleased to see that kind of thing appeals to others as well. I'm also a big fantasy fan, including fantasy RPGs, so something like this is very attractive to me.

I would like to put forth my candidacy, lol. Although it's hard to plan out a character without any idea of the setting/backstory, the character will be male and some kind of spell caster.

Any details that you've thought of or would like to put forth? And sorry if by talking about the character I am assuming too much. That's not my intention. Merely trying to be helpful.

Most of my group threads have fizzled, so I'd be up for some fun. I ALSO just got started on actual tabletop games, and geeked out hard over it (thanks, Armphid!), so it plays into my newest geek-fascination.

I'll post up a profile shortly, if that's cool. Female, totally.



One question . . . are half-gods possible characters? As in, the result of a tryst between a deity and a mortal?

Ok, I have thought of my character. I'll have a male Half-Elf Rogue. I have a bio set for him that I can post once we start posting them.

Great sounds good Josu_T, When everyone makes/picks their character if they could keep in mind how many of one class/race we have already.. i dont mean to say we can only have a certain amount... i dont wanna be restrictive i jsut think the story would be good if the cast was well rounded... ie lord of the rings.

This link is to the first time i tried something like this and got a good response...its basically what i mean to attempt again, I hope it keeps your interests and gives you ideas. There was an OCC thread for it too, but i lost that one..

Im definately into that kind of thing Armphid. While im not the only one, I see a couple still out there, I think this sort of thing was more popular a few years ago here. Anyway I really wanted to try this again, I think the people I used to thread with would of liked to see one of these stories followed till the end. Wich is what i was trying to do but RL never allowed.

Anyway Armphid dont appoligize i could always use feedback or suggestions :). If you wanna browse through the short link i posted for Josu, you may get a better idea of what i mean to do. keep in mind that i never got into how i wanted to do gold (yes i really am gonna try and play it like a table top rp) and even exp or items or mapping.. ill try to find the other srp i did wich i encorperated those elements in if possible and post that. Otherwise ill explain it as soon as i write it all out in a way that will make sense :D Just think "honor system" via the internet

Lemme say welcome to geekdom Hookerboots :D its kinda like being a zombie, once your turned your pretty much a helpless minion to it till someone comes along and puts you out of your misery :) jk. Im glad you have recently discovered table top stuff. I havent done that in years and years wich is why i used to like doing it on Lit. Welcome aboard.

Half deity... yeah that would ok, the only thing i ask is that you keep your powers down to a minimum to start. we can work something out where you get more use of your half god status as we go...rather than like learning skills or spells and what not, just dont start out too strong. Also if you can talk to gods that would cause major campaign issues lol, so id rather she... your character... either not knwo what she is... or be an outcast..kinda like hercules early in his 'life'.

So yeah that sounds good...female demi god...cool. Any thoughts to class?







Everybody else who has shown interests.. tasteofme, JudeRodney, MasterYosh, SheevaKitten, Sexual_Muse; We still have room, 1 male role and 2 female roles. In order of how everyone posts(ed) on this OCC, anyone who wants a role pretty much can have one. Depending on how everyone feels we MAY go to 4 girls and 4 guys, but i dunno. Nothing on story yet. I suppose i should get off my ass and write the intro.. ill start that today... that will prolly help the rest of you to decide.

Awesome. The game I started with was Scion, and I went on a spree making new characters, so I've got a few made that I can easily adapt to this.

Is there a specific mythological tradition we're gonna be following? Just so I can pick which one will fit best into the thread, lol
 
Ah ok I mainly started playing D&D and then I moved to White Wolf stuff, Vampire was my fave.

Well i usually create my own mythology for a campaign so i mean, whatever pantheon you dlike to come from would be fine. You can use one in existence and we can just say that it holds true and has followers and history like normal, or you can adapt one or jus tmake up a god... whatevers clever.

I like if everyone creates stuff up rather than getting inspired by other stuff lol :) but either way is ok.

Ill try and have the intro up soon. It will give you stuff to think about i know its all very vague now, i prefer it that way. Characters should be made based on what a person wants to play not where they are gonna be playing :)

Says me anyway :p tho i know its tough to not have any input at all, by tomm. night definately. still waiting to hear from the other players tho.

As for class . . . I tend towards either casty or tanky (I know, I'm schizo), so . . . *thinks* female demi-god(dess) warrior. As far as the rest, I'mma work it out. The wheels are turning. *points to head* Turning.

Well, personally I think this is shaping up into a great group. Class/Race wise nothing would make me happier than what we have already...still tho a few more people would be nice.

I'll be an archer or something of that sort. Table-top stuff isn't exactly my forte, so I've got no idea what I'll pick as a race at the moment.
 
I'll go with a human character. Can I take a dark knight type or are we strictly going by the book?

SheevaKitten-Female/Human/Mercenary Fighter (Female 2)

Also Tasteofme, SheevaKitten, Sexual Muse have shown interests... and yeah SheevaKitten a bisexual female merc would be fine that sounds like an interesting and potentionally sexy character, also JudeRodney I think a Dark character like that would be great to include... no, there is no "book" to go by lol, not really... not here :), however...

I need to know wich of you are playing males and wich of you are playing females. Since its 3 and 3 unless you guys wanna do 4 and 4, the people who posted first have the option to join first.

In other words if Armphid, JudeRodney and MasterYosh are all playing male characters than only Armphid and JudeRodney will be able to play. If Tasteofme, SheevaKitten and Sexual Muse all are playing females then only Taste and Sheeva will be able to play.

So lets break this down please, who is playing what and who wants to definately play? And since I got a better response than i thought... do you guys wanan just do 4 and 4 and well close this up now since i think we have enough if everyone that posted still wants in.

Im gonna work on the background now, ill wait to hear from everyone before i start pm'ing to talk about background and hometowns and origins and what not.
