Okay, now for an explanation.

This thread is about the DC comics superhero team known as the outsiders, which have being revamped as part of a long running project of mine known as ULTIMATE DC, which is where i've fiddled with the DC universe to make it better.

Heres a quick rundown of the history in this world...

The year is 2008 and over the past 10 years super-powered individuals have been recorded, though they are few in number. Vigilantism is not unheard of, with the most well known being the BATMAN, a viscous dark individual who uses advanced technology to stop foes all over the world...or so it is rumoured.

Rumours about a project krypton, have also recently come to the fore, about radioactive rocks and radiation based experiments, led by the supposedly dead English General, Alexander Luthor, but again these are only rumours.

(The population of costumed heroes and villains has been noticably reduced. In the normal DC Universe, there appeared to be an unlimited number of individuals many of whom adopted homemade costumes and gimmicks for varying reasons to either become adventurers, vigilantes, or criminals. This is largely absent in the Ultimate Universe where costumes were practical and utilitarian in appearance. Traditional spandex-type outfits are noticeably absent in this Universe.)

The world is currently quite blind to the existance of such super-powered individuals.

Recently though, Captain Nathanial Adams has being tasked by the US Government to form a black ops team consisting of such super-powered individuals. The result is the Outsiders.

Okay, Now this is also gonna be a bit akward, but I have a set cast list for this, by which i have a list of characters upon which your characters may be based. All i give you is the Characters Code-name and power, and its up to you to do with it as you like, while keeping slightly true to the original character. For example you may choose to make Black Lightning female, or have the Question as a gay guy, ect ect.

You are welcome to use Wiki to research these characters... All i ask is for a profile of your character detailing them and how they came to be recruited. Please also note that i want most to have no past contact with other 'heroes' unless stated in the notes...Agewise could they all be between 19 and 40.

Okay Here is the list of characters to choose from;

CODENAME - Black Lightning
POWER - Electrical Generation & Manipulation
NOTES - Thunder's Sibling rather than father.

CODENAME - Thunder
POWER - Density Manipulation
NOTES - Black Lightning's sibling rather than daughter.

CODENAME - Huntress
POWER - Super Agility
NOTES - Again, yes a slight tweak, but do with it was you want.

CODENAME - Owen Mercer
POWER - Short bursts of super speed
NOTES - It's upto you how you take him (or her), as its also upto you about the whole boomerang thing.

CODENAME - Hal Jordan
POWER - Flight
NOTES - Not yet Green Lantern, though wether or not that will happen yet is undecided.

CODENAME - Black Canary
POWER - Sonic Manipulation
NOTES - None.

CODENAME - Harley Quinn
POWER - Regenerative healing factor
NOTES - Yes I know this may cause more trouble than nightwing but it's simple, when creating this universe i've always pictured HQ as a heroine with a troubled pysche, who eventually snaps and becomes a villian, wether this will happen in this thread is not yet known, but please note that the joker does not yet exist in this universe.

NOTES - Perhaps a master of disguise, with a slight personality disorder, who is calmest when he gives himself a featureless disguise???

Once Bat Mans side kick he became bitter when Bruce would not allow him to avenge the death of his parents. He left to strike out on his own in hopes of avenging his parents death. Without bats he fumbled around his gear given him began to quickly break down into junk. He went from a legend to a joke nightmare of his parents plaguing his dreams he was falling apart with no one to catch the peices.

While tracking down the man who killed his parents he came across some alien tech a weird belt. always jealous of the bats utility belt he put it on and has not been able to take it off. Finally able to catch up to the man he thought killed his parents he found out he was already dead. The villain who carried the mans name, was in fact only the last in a long line to carry the name.

The man who killed his family was already in a dead beyond his reach. Denied his justice his hate turned inside and out focusing firmly on batman who had played his own part in there death and denied him closure. Dick is a withdrawn man of twenty who seeks to prevent others from suffering his fate. He joined the outsiders despite being a loner, there is safety in numbers.

Okay, becuase in this world he can't have being bruce's sidekick, we'll change that bit, but apart from that it's not bad.

How about this....

The son of two acrobats, Dick was born with the power to teleport short distances, a power which his parents discouraged him from using.

At the age of 15, his parents were killed accidently by the mysterious Batman who was at the time hunting a deranged serial killer called ScareCrow. The only reason Dick survived was becuase of his power, and he soon left to confront the batman. This ended badly, as Dick spent 3 years attacking the batman, and attacking him, before he realised the truth in the accident. Though he never forgave the batman, for his crime, he understood the work the man was doing, and decided that he should do the same, if not using less violent methods.

For a year, he became a vigilante in a city called bludhaven, until he was cornered by Cpt Adams, who told him that he would train him and make him better, as well as making his work legal. Dick reluctantly agreed and accepted the offer, eventually becoming the field leader of Adam's newly formed team, The Outsiders.

Name: Gardner Grayle
Army Rank: Sergeant
Code Name: Atomic Knight
Powers: Short term precognition & Technopathy. His 'Arm' has increased endurance, strength and can shoot atomic blasts as well as acting as a conduit into machines.
Age: 22
History: Gardner was raised by a normal caring family, and his powers didn't become apparent until he was 18.

At the age of 19, Gardner was studying Marine Biology and was on a project in cuba when a heated battle broke out between some cubans and some soldiers who were on shore leave. Gardner used his powers of premonition to stop the fight, and as a result one soldier didn't get shot in the head, instead Gardner took the shot in the arm.

The soldier he had saved was one, Captain Nathanial Adams, and Gardner was taken in, where he became a sergeant and second in command of the outsiders.

Appearance: He doesn't look like a soldier, he has short hair and a bit of a belly, making him look more like an average guy than a hero. His right arm from just above the elbow is a robotic replacement he himself built, and is something that he is constantly upgrading.
