OOC:

I would prefer that people who have actually played the game 'LUNAR: Silver Star Story Complete' participate, but non-players of the game are welcome to join as well. Go to http://www.users.nac.net/stanleynro/bios.html for a list of characters with short bios and pictures. I suggest reading some of the walkthrough if you have never played the game.

Please do not post asking permission to act as a character, none are reserved, except for Jessica de Alkirk (mine); just dive on in and have some fun. :)

This thread will take place approximately one year after the defeat of Ghaleon and the Vile Tribe (I will allow resurrections so that all characters may be played), and we will assume that the youngest of the characters is atleast 18 years old.

IC:

Jessica swore to herself as she stepped into Meribia. She had promised never to return here, after that incident with Kyle and her father.

It gave her another reason to hate Kyle; he had been the one that forced her and Father into this near-year of silence. It hadn't even been a month after Mel agreed to giving Kyle a chance at happiness with Jessica that he looted thousands of silver from the Mayor's treasury. Then Jess was faced with the choice between her father and Kyle...

Why had she ever left with him, anyway? She should've known it wouldn't have lasted. Kyle was a drunk, and a true 'ladies man'. The combination of intoxication, attractiveness, and engagement never worked.

She tried to shake the thoughts off as she walked into her father's mansion. Goddess she hoped he would let her back into the household...atleast until she could get back on her own feet...

She entered her father's office. "Father, I'm home..."

Hell Mel looked up at Jess indifferently.

She hoped he would speak. She hoped he would embrace her, take her back into his home, let her be part of the family again. He said nothing.

"Dad... I...I'm sorry. I'm not with Kyle anymore... I left him..."

He still gave no reply.

"Please Dad, I'm sorry," she pleaded.

Finally he spoke. "I'm afraid you have no place here."

Jess took a quick step back. She watched as her father went back to his mundane paperwork, disreguarding his daughter completely.

She stood in silence for several minutes. Mel never even looked at her. Slowly she turned and exited...

She wondered where she would find herself a place to stay. She had long lost contact with the other of the heroes; she wondered if any of them would allow her atleast a couch for awhile. Alex and Luna were probably just as deep in love as ever, and generous because of their happiness. They were her best bet. But what of Nash and Mia? Would they even still be together? At the end of their 'save the world' campaign, the quiet, collective Mia had almost seemed to care about the self-rightous mage known as Nash. Jessica doubted the two would be able to make it through...

To Burg, or to reconstructed Vane? Surely in Burg she would find a cot, but in Vane she would find indefinate entertainment and job opportunities.

One thing was for sure; Jessica was without a single silver, and she would be soon taking off her clothes for strangers if she couldn't find someone to help her out.

OOC: Oh, come on, people, atleast consider it. :: Sigh :: I really wanna do this one... I'll beg :) Plee~aase?

OOC:

If you're still up for doing this, I'll be Alex.

IC:

Alex was sitting alone in the forest near Burg, near the spring that he and Luna had often played music together. She had sung, her voice like a goddess, while he played his ocarina and Nall, the baby white dragon flew above and made wise cracks.

Well...there had been a reason her voice was like a goddess...she was one...she was the Goddess Althena and Alex and his companions had fought valiantly to save her from Ghaleon's ambition. One year had passed.

He was alone in the forest because he and Luna had another fight. They seemed to always be fighting now. Back one year ago, he had felt like everything was perfect...but ever since he had married her 6 months ago, things had gone awry. She was always just so damn demanding. He could never please her. So Alex got angry about his relationship with Luna and it effected his relationship with his parents and the rest of the town. He couldn't even talk to Ramus anymore. Alex was trying to figure out what to do now, because what he was doing just wasn't working anymore.

"I've got to figure out where to go from here. I thought I could be content with settling down with Luna after all my adventures...but I'm not happy with Burg or with her. I just need more."

So Alex decided to make a change. He stood up and just started walking. He was going to leave Burg for now...without telling anyone. Luna and his parents thought he was just out for a morning stroll, but he wasn't coming back from this one. He didn't care how irresponsible it was, either. It was his turn to be selfish.

Vane was still being rebuilt...there would be a lot of opportunity there for things to happen. He could find a job, really help with something again...and meet some new people. Luna alone wasn't enough to fulfill his life.

KYLE

OOC: Kyle is the infamous leader of the village of bandits. The fact is that Mel de Alkirk has a warrant out for his arrest, but Kyle really isn't bad. The way he makes a profit is by charging the locals "protection fees," but he offers his deal to women and children for free. Kyle, like Alex, is a strong fighter and magic users. The down side is Kyle has a reputation for getting drunk easily. When drunk the town's people lock him up in a cell as he mutters about "another night of wine, women and song." Kyle tends to fight with Jessica much, but people see that they are becoming more than friends.

IC: Kyle had accomplished exactly what he set out to do. He had chosen to take the money, for his own reasons. Why had Jessica not come with him? He had offered her his world full of excitement and passion so far from the drab day to day existence of "normal" people. She had turned him down! to say that he was shocked to his core was an understatement. Fine then, let her go back home. She'd be back. She had to be...

He could take care of those that were truly needy now, the women and children of the villiage received his gifts wth gratitude. Call it a "tax refund" . Kyle had always played by his own rules.

As the full moon rose against the black sky he sat with remains of the ill gotten silver stuffed in bags all around him. His plan had been perfect, yet here with the spoils of his conquest spread about him, he felt empty without her. Without Jessica. The unearthly glow cast shadows, shadows that made him curse his fate. Raising his flask of mead he poured another portion down his throat. In a fit of rage now, he howled at the moon like a wounded wolf....

Alex walked into Vane and took in the sites. Progress was going very well on the rebuilding of the city. Nash and Mia were probably hard at work somewhere. He wanted to try and avoid them if at all possible, though. He wanted to leave his past behind for a while and just move on to other things.

Let's see, he thought to himself, where can I get a job but not risk bumping into Nash or Mia... That was going to cut off any jobs near the School itself. He'd have to work somewhere in the town proper.

Alex decided to head to one of the small taverns that had been built on the outskirts of the town. He'd surely find out about some work there.

IC:

Jessica decided to head to Vane; seeing Alex and Luna as happy as they ever were would probably only make her feel worse. She was sure to find the distress of others amoungst the Magic Guild.

In a couple of days, Jess had managed the journey from Meribia to Vane. It was night; most of the lights of the city had been turned out.

[Mia is probably sleeping... And if she is, I doubt Nash would be awake... Guess I'll just have to find something to do until dawn; Goddess knows I don't have the silver to rent a room...]

She looked about; it appeared that there were atleast a few people in the city tavern.

[Drunken stories... That'll entertain me...]

She strode to the bar, opening the door confidently as she stepped in. She wore not what she did in the olden days; if anything, Kyle had taught her how to dress to make guys really want her... Want her enough that she would weasel them out of almost anything she wanted with the simple suggustion of sex... Not that she ever sold herself (not to anyone but Kyle anyway); she was what guys hated most: a tease.

A small, tight black top barely covered Jess's chest; one of the arm straps had been torn by her journery, as had the bottom hem. With that, she wore a matching skirt; short enough that if she had barely bent over, her silken panties would show. Her black, lace-up boots reached to just below her knee. Her blond hair lay wildly about her shoulders; her bangs reaching to her jaw (dyed crimson to match her beastman strips).

She looked about at those within the bar.

IC:

Alex had been sitting at the bar a couple hours. He looked like any of the other patrons, wearing a sturdy pair of leather pants and a white tunic with a tanned, light jacket on top. His hair was a bit longer and more ragged than usual. He hadn't cut it since leaving Burg. He had even let a very thin beard grow in over the journey. Even someone who knew him well might not recognize him without his usual clean look. He had come in trying to look for work, but things took a turn for the worse after he took a few sips of ale. Leaving Luna and Burg was really starting to get to him. He had gone from sipping to chugging to gorging on the rich ale of the tavern. Looking around, he could barely see straight. Everything was a little fuzzy and tinged with that stuporous beauty.

He had gotten into excellent shape during his adventure against Ghaleon. He had finally grown out of his "youthful" look and finally looked like a man. He was tall now, just over 6 feet. His training with the sword had given him thick, strong arms. He was muscular and lean. Unfortunately for him, the amount of ale he had drunken down was too much even for his healthy physique.

While Alex was peering around he saw a woman come in that got his intoxicated juices flowing. While her face looked a little fuzzy to him, he could see her body was gorgeous. She was wearing a tight little shirt that barely covered her ample top. Covering her thighs was a slinky skirt that let her panties show as she took each limber step. She had long, black boots laced up each of those slender legs. With each step she took into the bar, her long, blonde hair danced on her shoulders seductively.

With thoughts of Luna mixing around in his head, he stumbled up out of his chair and moved towards her as she stopped to look around.

Jessica found the tavern of Vane to be quiet compared to that in Nanza; not that she could have truely expected it have been any different. There were no fights, verbal nor physical, and there were no public displays of affection. She sighed in slight disappointment and expected the worst of drunken sob stories.

Jess's eyes caught a man stumbling towards her -- or perhaps he was just heading for the door. Either way, Jessica stayed in her current position as she took in his muscular features; a small smile crossed her lips.

As Alex moved towards the woman, he noticed her looking in his direction. He could swear he saw a smile creeping open between her lips. Even though his mind was in a daze, he kept his footing and walked somewhat smoothly towards her.

As he got closer, he could make out her features a little better between the haze of his drunken mind. Her long, golden hair framed an exquisite face. Her eyes were full of energy and life. Her full, red lips carried a distinctively noble tone. The whole cascade of imagery seemed almost familiar to him, but his stupor was blocking out any real world connection. All he could see was her...and all he could think of was Luna--who was gone from him now. She encompassed his mind and simple infatuation took over in his body. He decided he had to have her.

For Alex, this was the first time he had ever been drunk...and it was the first time he had ever really tried to approach a woman besides Luna. He didn't really know much about style or tactic in winning over a woman's charms. So in his naivete, he took a rather direct route...

As soon as he stepped in front of her, he put out his hand and grabbed hers gently. His hair shifted and covered his eyes as he bowed lightly and whispered to her, "Care for a drink?"

His gentle words in her ear sent a slight chill down Jessica's spine; she could feel her body tense for a moment as she drank in his voice.

Her smile still upon her crimson lips, she nodded softly and replied, "I'd love one."

It was then that he stood upright and looked her in the eyes, the vivid green color of his own demanding all of Jess's attention. She found herself infatuated with them... She hadn't seen eyes like those since...

It had been a long time ago, the last she had seen her hero friends; for a moment she almost swore that this man was Alex. But his appearance was far too rugged, and he was far too drunk... Alex wasn't the drinking sort, and Jessica wasn't about to make a fool of herself by claiming this man to be a past dragonmaster.

She'd worry about her friends later... Right now all she wanted to do was try to forget about Kyle...

Alex felt a surge run through his body as the words "I'd love one" poured out of her perfect lips. It was like the sensation of a single drop of water slowly making its way over his skin. It worked...

Still holding her hand, he led her towards the bar and ordered two bottles of the finest ale in the tavern. The bartender told them it would be just a moment. Alex asked the bartender to have the bottles delivered to their table.

Then he led the woman over to a table in the back of the tavern which was cut off from the front area by a thin hallway. The only light in the room came from two dimming lanterns on either side of the room. This part of the tavern was often used for private events, parties, or other celebrations. At this time of the day, it was usually not too occupied because everyone filled the front of the tavern first. On this particular instance, there was not yet anyone else in the back.

He pulled a chair out at one of the tables and the woman sat down. Then he walked across the table and took a seat on the other side so he could gaze upon her directly. Just as he was about to say something, the waitress scurried into the room with their tray. She set the tray down on the table and removed two tall bottles of fine ale and two glasses. She popped the top off of one of the bottles and filled each glass to the brim. Then she grabbed the tray back up and scurried off, under her breath mumbling, "What are they doing all the way back here?"

Alex picked up his glass and held it out towards the woman for a toast. She saw what he was going for and lifted up her own glass between her long, slender fingers.

"To old love, and to new," he said, and they toasted. Alex was feeling like he could do just about anything right now.

Jessica smiled at the toast with satisfation. She thought it to be absolutely appropriate, given her current situation.

She drank at the ale in a 'lady-like' manner, not gulging it greedily as she had learned to do by Kyle. She thought it best to keep herself proper; atleast for the time being.

Setting down her glass gently, Jessica looked to the man across the table from her. She couldn't keep her eyes away from his own; they were simply amazing. For a few moments she watched them tenderly, then she realized that she hadn't even introduced herself to the man yet.

She thought it best not to tell him who she truely was; she had done that with Kyle, and now she looked back and could only think he used her for her fathers money. Tonight, she would not be known as Jessica de Alkirk.

"Please excuse me for not introducing myself earlier... My name is Alexis... Alexis Silver."

"Alexis Silver," Alex repeated again, moving over each syllable with a suble accentuation.

The name sounded pretty familiar to him...Alexis...Alexis...He still wasn't thinking too clearly, at least not about the past, but the present was strong in his mind. He felt like he was in perfect control of himself right now. Looking deeply back into her own eyes, he said the first name that came into his head...

"Jessie...My name's Jessie Black. It's wonderful to meet you, Alexis."

He was following her lead and was sipping the rich ale slowly. Although his head was still very fuzzy from his earlier gorging much harder liquor, his vision was clearing up very nicely.

Her eyes were staring directly into his. They were absolutely beautiful. She had the kind of eyes that looked at a man and piereced through his flesh and saw deep into his soul. He felt like he could share anything with this woman, because even if he tried to hide it, she would know--just by looking at him.

"So what brings a beautiful lady like yourself to a bar alone?"

"I have come to Vane to see a couple friends of mine... I fear I have come at too late of an hour, and I would hate to disrupt their sleep. I decided the tavern was good a place as any to spend the nightly hours as I await for dawn."

She continued to watch Jessie, a few moments past before she returned him with the same question. "And as for yourself? What brings you here, alone? You don't look to be the type to have to pick up drunken maidens... Surely any girl you charmed would have accompanied you here."

Luna leans against her favorite tree and tries to hold back the tears...but each falls without a sound and leaves a shimmering trail lying against her pale cheeks.

He's gone now. He has truly left. I knew he was restless. I knew he needed a change... I knew he couldn't love me forever, but...

Another tear falls down her cheek as the nightsounds begin to fill the air.

OOC: Here is Luna. Lost without her husband Alex. What will happen to her now? I'll post something longer and more interactive later on!

Vailyn

OOC:

Good of you to join us, Vailyn. I hope you enjoy this thread as much as I already am. :)

Darrenfate, I hope we haven't lost you as our Kyle. I apologize for lack of interactivity with your character; I'm sure we can get him worked more into the story soon. Kyle is vital.

Anyone else interested in the thread is more than welcome to join. We still need a Nash and Mia; and having the seductive Vile Tribe three and the wicked Ghaleon would be a large plus.

If no one takes the parts, those already posting may double on characters.

KYLE

With an angry gesture Kyle flings the empty flask away, he has no other and he must have more. The only place is in town and Kyle is in a hurry. Hiding his ill gotten treasure, Kyle sets off cross country towards the tavern, eschewing the dirt roads for the quickest passage across private property.

Damn Jessica. Just thinking of her still caused his fists to clench his jaw grinding his teeth in fury. He silently cut past a house and stpped cold hearing a sound. A woman is sobbing. His genuine good nature springs into being, a protective streak for the weaker sex that shines through.

Kyle steps into the open moonlight. Then he says softly, I too am grieved. Perhaps we can comfort each other. He walks forward and hugs her...

Luna

Strong arms and a strong smell of mead enwrapped her. The awkward tenderness breaks the rest of Luna's resolve and she falls completely into the embrace. Tears flow unendingly as she grieves and small whimpers escape into the still night, "He's g-gone.....ove 'im so muuuuccch! I-....he.......g-gah.....'m l-l-loooosst.... looooossst--"

The stranger pulls Luna closer and begins to pet her long midnight hair with steady strokes. When he begins to whisper words of soft encouragement, a spark of recognition grows within the depths of Luna's despair. The pain overwhelms her further and drowns out all thought. Truly letting go, she keens out her helplessness and sorrow in ragged husky low screams. The man lets the warm tears fall down his neck and soak into his cloak. Her bursts of hot gasping breathes breathe against his sensitive skin. Squeezing her tightly, he draws her into his lap and rocks her like a lost child. Unthinkingly, he whistles his favorite melody that never fails to soothe him in the darkness. As the fever pitch of grief ebbs to an dull roar, the music pierces the fog of anguish that traps Luna. The spark leaps back to life!

"K-k-(hiccup! wipes nose)yle? Kyle?"

OOC:

Welcome, Vailyn! And glad to see you posting again, darrenfate.

IC:

Alex chuckled lightly at Alexis's last comment. He ran his right hand through his thick hair and onto the back of his neck, then turned his face up slightly.

"I...I...Had to leave someone behind. I mean...have you ever been in love, and everything seemed perfect between the two of you? But on the inside, there were things denied, things you lied to yourself about. Where that perfection was stained with an incessant feeling of lacking. In a way that everyone saw it but you. Everyone told you it was wrong, but you wouldn't listen? You wanted to make it perfect no matter what the cost?--"

Alex stopped and chuckled again to himself. "That was an awfully long way of telling you I'm just alone...that's all. And what's wrong now is that I can't tell yet whether or not I'm better off alone or not."

Alex looked over at Alexis. She was just so beautiful. A tiny flicker went off in the back of his head and he said, "You know, you look kind of familiar."

His eyes moved over her slowly, from her long, golden hair to her deep blue eyes and the thing red strips on either cheek common to the beastman tribe. No wonder I said Jessie.

"Jessica?"

Sure do, Marian. Join on in.

IC:

Jessica had been agreeing with every word from Jessie's lips; she knew all too well what he spoke of.

"You know, you look kind of familar."

She could feel his eyes studying her.

"Jessica?" he asked.

Her heart skipped a beat. That name...he knew her name. He knew she lied about being Alexis; he knew she was Hell Mel's daughter. At first she was enraged at her own stupidity, and even resentful of the man for somehow knowing her.

"I...well... Yes, my name is Jessica." It was then that she realized exactly WHO she was talking to.

"Holy... Alex?!?"

Mia, Nash, Xenobia, Royce, Phacia, Ghaleon, Tempest, Frecia, side characters (such as Hell Mel, Laike, etc)

OOC:

That would be good. Then all we need to complete the circle of heroes is Nash...
